In the hotel room, Annie quietly watched Steven, who was still fast asleep, feeling a pang of disorientation.
However, she knew she couldn’t stay any longer. She felt a pang of reluctance but realized she had to leave.
She couldn’t afford to make the same mistakes again. She glanced at the phone she had placed neatly aside, still preoccupied with the identity behind the name “Stupid Girl“.
If it weren’t for her past mistake, she and Steven would never have ended up in this situation.
Taking a deep breath, she surveyed her surroundings. The hotel lights cast a warm glow, and it was meant to be a beautiful night, but this was not the right moment for her to linger.
With a hint of reluctance, she opened the door and walked out.
After leaving the hotel and getting into her car, Annie didn’t drive away immediately. Instead, she sat in the vehicle, waiting to confirm something important.
Before long, another car pulled up beside her, just one vehicle away.
The doors opened, and two people stepped out–Skylar and Joe. The two hurriedly entered the hotel together.
Seeing them appear almost simultaneously confirmed Annie’s suspicions, even though it still surprised her.
In Jipsburg City, everyone was buzzing about Lizzie’s quietly winning over Joe, but Annie felt that Skylar’s presence was undoubtedly significant to him.
If they truly had no connection anymore, she wondered if Joe would really arrive at the hotel
with Skylar.
She gripped the steering wheel tightly, realizing her intuition was right.
up and move
There would be plenty of time ahead, and she couldn’t afford to at past mistakes. Wherever she had stumbled before, that was where she needed to pick herself forward.
For example, she had fallen from being a TV host to becoming a well–known influencer. No one could predict what tomorrow would bring.
After Skylar and Joe arrived at the hotel room, they found Steven sound asleep. Despite their somewhat loud entrance, they didn’t wake him.
Seeing that Steven was safe and hadn’t had any inappropriate encounters with Annie, Skylar
heaved a sign of relief.
“I’ll get us a room. Tonight, I’ll share a room with Steven,” Joe said, noting Steven’s sleeping
state.
He guessed that Steven wouldn’t wake up for the rest of the night. It would be better to spend the night at the hotel.
Skylar agreed. “Okay.” Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
Conveniently, the adjacent room was available, so Joe booked it without hesitation.
The next morning, Steven woke up with a pounding headache. As he regained consciousness, he realized he was in an unfamiliar environment. The layout and decor clearly indicated it was a hotel room.
He had no idea how he found himself in this place.
His mind went blank for a moment, and he struggled to piece together what had happened. Just as he was wondering, he caught sight of Joe lying on the other bed.
“Joe?”
Steven felt even more confused, as his headache made it difficult to remember anything from the previous night. He was unable to grasp what had actually happened.
Joe, sensing someone was watching him, opened his eyes. Their gazes met.
“Is this a hotel?” Steven asked Joe as he sat up, still feeling the dull ache in his head.
He tried to recall the previous night’s events, but his memory remained a blank slate. It felt as if the memories from last night had been stolen.
