Richest Mogul 1115

All of Skylar’s dreams were filled with scenes of the girl being brutally abused and ultimately dying. One particularly vivid image even showed her legs being crushed beneath the wheels of a large truck.

The horror was relentless, bloody, and terrifying leaving her in shock.

As she tried to force herself to open her eyes and not let the dreams affect her emotions, a familiar and gentle figure suddenly appeared before her.

She called out, “Grandma Viola…”

She ran toward Viola. But for some reason, even though Viola was so close, it felt like an unsurmountable distance separated them. She could never reach her no matter how hard she

tried to run.

Viola looked at her with warmth and kindness. “Don’t come any closer, Skye. I have something to tell you, so just listen quietly.”

Skylar stared blankly at Viola. It had been so long since she last saw her, yet it felt like Viola

was becoming visibly younger as she spoke.

Gradually, she transformed into a breathtaking beauty that could captivate anyone’s attention.

“In this world, my biggest concern is you. Your relationship with Joe isn’t destined. It’s a matter of defying fate. Therefore, you both will face several trials ahead.

“Only by staying steadfast in your bond will this connection endure. Remember my words. You must hold onto this connection, no matter what. Understood?”

Skylar nodded continuously. “I’ll listen to you, Grandma Viola. But… was it because you helped me that you had to leave so suddenly?”

She sensed some underlying reason for Viola’s passing.

Viola smiled gently and shook her head. “I’ve seen all kinds of people and events in this world. Whether I live for many years or just a few doesn’t matter. Live well, Skye. I have things to do

now.”

“Grandma…”

She tried to catch up to her, but Viola’s figure began to fade away.

As the white mist dissipated, only an endless night remained ahead of her.

Skylar jolted awake. Staring at the ceiling light above her, she snapped back to reality.

It was just a dream, yet not entirely a dream. She knew that Viola’s appearance meant far more than just a figment of her imagination.

It confirmed her suspicions. The reason she had this chance at rebirth was because of Viola. For Skylar’s sake, Viola had even sacrificed several years of her life.

When Skylar thought of how Viola had spent her entire life protecting others from disasters but ended up living out her years in solitude, she couldn’t help but feel a sharp ache in her Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

heart.

At that moment, a series of knocks sounded at the door.

“Mrs. Martin?”

“Skylar?”

“She’s been asleep for two hours. I’m worried something might have happened.”

“Let the doctor check on her. That’s the only way I’ll feel reassured.”

Just as Skylar was about to respond, her phone rang. The sound of the ringtone pulled her from her sorrow.

She answered the call. “Hello?”

“Are you alright?” Joe’s voice carried a trace of urgency.

Skylar replied, “I’m fine. I just took a nap. Don’t worry.”

“If Lizzie’s brother’s situation is too strange and could harm you in any way while trying to help them, don’t bother solving it. Just come back to Jipsburg.” Joe’s words revealed that his only concern was Skylar.

Hearing this, Skylar couldn’t help but smile. “You’re really that worried about me, huh? Don’t worry, I’ll be careful.”
