My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Richest Mogul 1103

Richest Mogul 1103

Viola had been entangled with so many people and matters when she was alive. In death, she deserved to be free from the shackles of this world.

Gloria wanted to return to sea after passing–to be reunited with Viola.

“It seems that Viola knew about the series of events happening recently in Jipsburg and that they were caused by her brother. But, after knowing her for so many years, we’ve never heard her mention she had a brother,” Alexander remarked.

After a wave of deep sorrow, Alexander suddenly remembered something crucial.

Gloria nodded in agreement. “She never mentioned it to me either, and we never met this bother of hers.”

“Grandma Viola never told me about him either. She had no contact with us recently, likely because she was searching for him. She mentioned in her letter that they never met in the end. Even in her final days, she was still thinking of helping us,” Skylar said.

Her heart ached at the thought of Viola facing it all alone, knowing the outcome but powerless to change it.

Viola’s life had been too cruel. If Skylar could have a second chance, she fervently wished that Viola could have one too.

“She’s always been that way… carrying more than her share of burdens,” Gloria sighed, her voice heavy with sadness.

Both George and Alexander echoed the sigh.

Alexander stood up, his face solemn. “I’ll go to the morgue at the Oakdale Hospital to see her one last time.”

With that, he turned to Gloria and George. “You two should stay here. Your health isn’t great, and that place is too cold. Leave her in peace. Just wait a couple of days to see her.”

Both of them nodded in agreement. They didn’t dare to see Viola yet.

That evening, Skylar and Joe stayed at Pearlhall Residence. They shared dinner with Gloria, who retired to bed shortly after.

Later, after Gloria had fallen asleep, Skylar and Joe returned to their room.

After showering, they lay down together, but Skylar couldn’t sleep. Her mind was flooded with memories of Viola as if replaying a movie.

Viola had always been so patient, especially with how wild Skylar had been as a child. She leaned into Joe’s chest and whispered, “I miss her so much. There are so many things I wanted to share with her.

“I used to think life was long, that even if I couldn’t see her now, I’d see her one day. But now, I realize I’ll never see her again in this life.”

Joe gently rubbed Skylar’s head. “Everyone has to face this day. Although Grandma Viola left with some regrets, she had you by her side during her 20 years in the countryside, giving her a sense of family. She left this world peacefully. Whenever you have something to say, go to the beach and talk to her.”

“Yeah.”

Without realizing it, Skylar shared more memories about Viola with Joe. The stories were scattered, but she felt an urge to express them.

She wanted to relive her memories of Viola. Though Viola was no longer in this world, she would always remain in her heart.

Joe listened intently, gently soothing Skylar to sleep without realizing it.

Once she was asleep, he got out of bed and stepped outside the bedroom to make a call.

“Is there any news regarding Molly these past few days?”

“Molly hasn’t dared to go out recently. Vera has been trying to see her, but Molly keeps avoiding her. The mastermind behind Molly has been making moves. They came to Jipsburg a few days ago. I’ll find them soon. Don’t worry, Mr. Martin. The people I’ve hired won’t miss a single clue.” Paul assured him.

“Look into it as soon as possible,” Joe instructed.

“Understood.”

After hanging up, Joe switched his phone to silent mode and was about to return to his room when his phone lit up.

It was Jeremy.

“Come outside for a moment,” he texted succinctly. Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

Joe glanced at the time and peeked back into the room to see Skylar sleeping peacefully. He replied, “Where are you?”
