My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1356

Rosa couldn't shake off the feeling that everything around her might just be an illusion. Joe had promised her that they would get married tomorrow. After risking everything by attempting to jump from the building, she had finally achieved what she wanted.

"We're getting married tomorrow. Can we arrange for my discharge now? I'm perfectly fine. Let's go get our marriage certificate tomorrow."

She fixed her gaze on Joe, afraid he might change his mind.

Joe nodded and said, "Your current condition isn't stable enough for discharge. We need to wait for the doctor's evaluation."

Rosa's heart finally settled upon hearing his agreement.

She knew he was a man of his word. Once he promised something, he would follow through. "You love me, don't you? Seeing me about to jump— you were scared, weren't you? Afraid of losing me?" Rosa stared intensely at Joe, trying to confirm her thoughts.

If he didn't love her, he could have let her jump. Just as she had said, if she jumped, he would be free from the burden.

"Don't overthink it," Joe said in a deep voice.

At that moment, Joe's phone rang. He quickly answered, "What's up?"

As he spoke, he walked out of the ward and gave Rosa a glance, telling her to rest.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

Rosa watched the door close, frustration simmering within her. The call could have come at any other time, yet it chose that exact moment to interrupt her. Anger surged within her as she thought about the timing.

Reaching for her phone tucked under her pillow, she found multiple notifications. There were messages from a reporter, Cecil Greene, long-lost friends, and even acquaintances she had met at various events.

Her friends and the people from the events were all watching her situation unfold with a sense of morbid curiosity.

Rosa refused to look at their

messages, but she couldn't ignore Cecil's messages. The reason so many reporters were present was

that she had tipped them off in

advance, orchestrating a major news story to force Joe into a decision.

She never truly considered jumping off the building. The depression was just a ruse she had agreed upon with the doctor.

Rosa had never been one to give up easily, and she didn't believe that Joe could be indifferent to her after more than three years. Seeing her on the edge, there was no way he would remain unresponsive.

Just as she had predicted, the gamble paid off.

Cecil asked, "Ms. Reese, do you have any photos of the mistress? If you do, you can send them to me. I can expose her to the world, making her utterly humiliated. Who knows, maybe she'll be the one who jumps."

Rosa had plenty of photos of Skylar. However, she hesitated. After all, Skylar was not an ordinary person without any powerful connections. She wondered if she should send those photos to Cecil.

If she did, she was confident the media would expose Skylar as the mistress. This might force Skylar to return to ipsburg, as no one in their Clusian community would be able to withstand the embarrassment of being labeled as a mistress.

"Let me think it over. Don't take any drastic actions just yet," she replied.

After contemplating, she decided that if Joe took her to get married tomorrow, she would keep Skylar's identity under wraps. But if Joe hesitated, she wouldn't hold back from exposing her.

Cecil urged, "I think this is a golden opportunity. The story is trending, and if we miss it, we may never get this level of exposure again."

"I understand. Just wait for my message tomorrow. You did well today," Rosa responded.

After finishing her conversation with Cecil, she glanced at the door, noticing that Joe had yet to return.

With nothing to do, she began replying to a few friends' messages. The exchanges reflected her sense of despair about life and her willingness to fulfill Joe's desires.
