Chapter 786 He Is Filial

The text message was sent from an unfamiliar number.

Faye glanced at the phone screen, squinted, and then ignored it.

There were only two people who would send this message, Martha or Hank.

No matter who it was, Faye didn't want to reply to the message.

[Faye, I want to meet Colin, can I?]

[I have stomach cancer. The doctor said I only have half a year at most to live. Don't worry, I won't

disturb your life. I just want to see Colin, just once.]

After receiving the second message, Faye was able to determine who the sender was.

Looking at the last message sent by Martha, Faye didn't reply for a long time.

After a while, Faye sent a message to Martha. [Where are you?]

Martha's reply was extremely fast. [At the Baroque Hotel.]

Faye thought for a moment, then pressed her lips. [See you tomorrow.]

After sending the message, Faye put down her mobile phone and looked up at the TV.

The variety show built up to the climax, and it was particularly amusing, but Faye couldn't laugh.

The dinner lasted until the second half of the night. When Ethan and the others left, they put their arms

around each other's shoulders, stumbling.

Colin personally sent the three out of the gate, holding the gate and watching them off.

"Be off and don't come again."

All three of them were drunk, so they did not look back and staggered away.

Outside the gate, Andy was waiting in the car.

Seeing the three coming out, he hurriedly got out of the car and opened the car door for them.

After settling them, Andy walked to the driver's seat and got in the car.

Abbot was sitting in the passenger seat. When he saw Andy get in the car, he asked, "Andy? Why are

you here today? Where's Lance?"

Hearing this, Andy tightened his hands on the steering wheel and said, "He went home."

Abbot didn't know what happened between Andy and Lance and said with a smile, "Well, he is filial."

Andy said, "Yes."

Abbot stretched his legs and he was talkative after being drunk. "Speaking of Lance, he is not getting

any younger, but I haven't heard that he has a girlfriend."

Andy was silent.

Abbot said to himself, "Well, Lance is Colin's brother-in-law. I will introduce a good girl to him later, and

I won't show Colin up."

Andy was speechless.

In the living room of the Fennth Community.

Pulling his collar, Colin walked to Faye and carried her into his arms.

Faye put one hand around his neck, and the other subconsciously got the mobile phone thrown on the

sofa.

Colin lowered his head and kissed the corner of Faye's lips. "Are you sleepy?"

"No." After replying, Faye touched Colin's cheek. Then she asked, "Are you drunk?"

Colin smiled in a deep voice and replied, "Of course not."

Faye didn't believe it and teased, "Really?"

Colin raised her a little higher and said solemnly, "I know the priorities. The most important thing for me

now is to work hard to make you pregnant..."

Hearing this, Faye couldn't help smiling.

While smiling, she suddenly thought of Martha, and then her smile froze. She worried that Colin would

find something wrong, so she rubbed her face into his arms.

Colin drank a lot tonight, and the wine went straight to his head. He was so full of joy that he didn't

notice anything unusual about Faye.

Sensing Faye's movements, Colin thought she was shy. With a smile, he carried her upstairs.

Faye was absent-minded during sex this night.

More than an hour later, Faye was carried out of the bathroom by Colin.

Both of them were covered with steam. Faye was lying under the covers and said in a muffled voice,

"Still not sleeping?"

Colin stretched the line of the hair dryer to the edge of the bed and replied, "Get up and blow dry your

hair before going to bed."

"I don't want to bother."

Colin chuckled, leaned over, and put his hand under the covers. "Come on."

He pulled Faye out of the covers and let her sit with her back to him.

Faye had to get up and hook the quilt with her toes.

Seeing this, Colin pressed the hair dryer button with a smile.

After a few minutes, Faye's hair was dried. Colin lowered his head and kissed her on the cheek. "Go to

sleep. I'll tidy up."

Tonight was a restless night for Faye.

The next day.

Faye got up early. After having breakfast, she told Colin that she had an appointment with Rebecca.

Then she drove away from the Fennth Community to the Baroque Hotel.

When she arrived at the hotel, she took the elevator to the floor where Martha lived.

After finding the room Martha lived in, Faye raised her hand and knocked on the door.

Martha's tired voice came from the room. "Coming."

After a while, the door opened, and her thin figure appeared.

Only a few months had passed, but Martha seemed like a different person.

Her past elegance disappeared. It was obvious that she had lost a lot of weight, and the cheekbones

on her face had become very prominent.

Seeing Faye, Martha forced herself to smile and said, "You are here."

"Yes."

"Come in and talk." Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

Faye nodded indifferently, stepped into the door, looked around briefly, and sat in a chair near the

window.

Martha took a bottle of mineral water and stepped forward. She said in embarrassment, "How is

Colin?"

Faye said indifferently, "He is fine."

Martha took a deep breath and asked, "Can I...meet him?"

Faye asked rhetorically, "Do you think it's appropriate?"

Hearing this, Martha clenched the water bottle until it deformed and choked out, "Faye, I... I don't mean

anything else. I just want to see Colin..."

Pain and guilt appeared on her face.

Seeing her expression, Faye said, "You can't be too selfish."

Hearing Faye's words, Martha paused and said, "I know I'm very selfish to do this. But he's the only

family I have in this world."

Then she cried her eyes out.

When Martha was tired of crying and silent, Faye said indifferently and calmly, "If I were you, even if

he's the only family I have in this world, I would never bother him."

Martha didn't speak.

"Some injuries are not atoned for by death."

Hearing Faye's words, Martha shivered and said in a quivering voice, "I... I know."

Faye said word by word coldly, "I know what you're thinking, I know your helplessness with the illness,

and I know you have now realized the mistakes you have made. I even know you want to hear Colin

say forgive you before you die..."

Every time Faye said a word, Martha's face became paler.

After Faye finished speaking, Martha looked at her with red eyes without speaking.

Faye glanced at Martha coldly and continued, "Before you die, you still want to impose your morality on

him."

When Martha heard this, her whole body froze, and then her body became limp obviously.

The atmosphere in the room was instantly stifling.

After a while, Martha said with a wailing voice, "Off you go. I won't see Colin."

Then she staggered up and walked to the door to open it.

However, before she could hurry Faye away, she saw Colin, who was standing outside the door with

cold eyes, when the door opened.

Martha was stunned. Trembling her lips, she said, "Colin."

Colin asked with cold eyes, "Why did you meet her?"
