Chapter 688 Old Friend

Colin could basically guess the reason why Maxwell chose the nursing home where his mother lived.

Because Maxwell wanted to let his mother see that the man who had hurt her pay a painful price.

They chatted briefly on the phone before hanging up.

After hanging up, Colin bent over to get on the car.

At Ten o'clock, Colin arrived at Conda Nursing Home. Maxwell had already arrived ahead of schedule.

When they met, Colin strode past and asked, "What happened?"

In a motorcycle suit, Maxwell leaned over the railing and bit a cigarette obliquely at the corners of his

mouth, saying with a straight face, "My mother wants to see him for the last time."

Hearing this, Colin frowned slightly because he was worried about the complications. "Are you sure

there will be no contingency?"

Maxwell raised his hand and took the cigarette to flick ash. "Yes."

He looked at Colin and sneered. "Don't worry. I have been planning for so many years. I'm waiting for

this day, and it is impossible for him to leave alive." From NôvelDrama.Org.

Brandon in a wheelchair pushed by his bodyguard entered the the room of Maxwell's mother.

Maxwell's mother was making coffee beside the coffee table. She dressed in a fragrant cloud yarn

dress, and her hair was coiled with a rosewood hairpin, looking gentle and dignified.

Seeing Brandon, she didn't stand up. She only asked lightly, "Do you want to drink coffee?"

Brandon tightly gripped the armrests of the wheelchair and asked in a hoarse voice, "What kind of

coffee?"

Maxwell's mother replied, " Latte. You don't like it."

Brandon asked, "Could I get a cup of Latte?"

Maxwell's mother took a coffee cup. "I haven't seen you for many years. Have you changed your

taste?"

The Adam's apple of Latte rolled. Looking at her face, he wanted to say something, but he didn't utter a

word at last. Then he moved down his sight and stared at her hands.

Maxwell's mother had a complete mastery of making coffee.

After a while, a cup of Latte was brewed and put on the coffee table.

The bodyguard stepped forward.

He just took two steps and was stopped by Brandon's hand. "Go out and wait."

The bodyguard bowed to answer, "Yes, Mr. Farrell."

As the bodyguard left, only Brandon and Maxwell's mother were left in the room.

Maxwell's mother looked up at Brandon. "There are only two of us in this room. Do you still want to

pretend?"

Brandon took a deep breath and stood up with his hands on the armrests of the wheelchair. Holding his

body slightly, he stepped to the coffee table and bent over to pick up the coffee cup. After taking a sip,

he said, "It's good."

Maxwell's mother said, "Isn't it uncomfortable to stick that fake skin on your face?"

After a brief pause, Brandon tightened his jaw and raised his hand to remove the ferocious scar

attached to his face.

There was a face that was no different from normal people inside.

Every man in the Farrells had a good look. Even the years had left traces on his face, he still attracted

people's attention when standing in the crowd.

Afterwards, Brandon asked in a heavy voice, "Are you satisfied?"

Maxwell's mother said, "Sit down and have coffee."

Brandon had sat in the wheelchair for too long. Although he often stayed physically active in the

absence of others, his physical quality was worse than normal people.

Brandon stepped to the side of the single-person sofa and sat down. "This is the third time you have

met me since you moved here."

Maxwell's mother picked up the coffee pot to add coffee to Brandon's cup. "It is the second time for me

to take the initiative to see you."

Hearing her words, Brandon paused. "For the first time, I..."

Before he finished speaking, Maxwell's mother interrupted him. "You should know why Maxwell

cheated you to the nursing home today."

Brandon said, "I know. He wants to kill me."
