Chapter 1335: Neglect
Sienna couldn't predict Rex's thoughts at all.
Rex remained silent the whole time, and Sienna didn't press further. After escorting him back to his
room, she urged him to freshen up before finally finding time to contact Camille.
She messaged Camille: "Guess who I met tonight?"
Intentionally leaving her hanging, Sienna wanted Camille to take a guess, knowing she wouldn't figure
it out.
After sending the message, Camille replied instantly.
Camille said, "You met Mario."
Camille knew Sienna was having dinner with Mario and Mrs. King that night, so she didn't bother
guessing and played it cool.
Sienna sent an eye-rolling emoji in response. "Can't you at least pretend to be surprised? How will we
have fun if you're like this?"
Camille felt bored being the only girl surrounded by men, and she wished Sienna was there to make it
more enjoyable. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Camille said, "Why is the dinner taking so long? I thought you were just having a meal and would join
us later, but now I'm the only one here watching them chat."
Even though Camille was the only girl, Ayan made sure to pay attention to her feelings, never
neglecting her. She playfully complained to Sienna, just pretending to be pitiful.
Sienna quickly responded, "I just got home, had dinner, chatted with my mom at the hotel for a bit, and
then came back."
"Is that all it was?"
"Of course, would I lie to you?"
"Then why did you make me guess who you met? Who was it?" Camille asked casually.
Sienna replied, "I'm not telling. Guess or wait for her to contact you."
From Sienna's clues, Camille knew it was a girl but couldn't recall who it might be.
Ayan's voice chimed in next to her, "What are you looking at?"
Camille glanced at her phone screen showing her chat with Sienna.
Ayan asked, "What are you chatting about?"
"Why would I share girl talk with you?" Camille locked her screen, then looked at Ayan and questioned,
"Are they done chatting yet?"
Ayan checked the time on his wrist and replied, "Yes, almost time to leave. Let them continue drinking!"
Having spent most of the evening there, Camille was a bit tired. Ayan didn't insist on her staying, and
after saying goodbye to the others who were still drinking, he took Camille's hand and left the place.
Since it was their private club, they didn't have to worry about any leaks while drinking or chatting.
Exiting the club, Kian was waiting by the door with the car already running.
They got in, and the car started its journey towards Franklin Bay with Camille sitting in the back. She
asked Ayan softly, "When is Horace coming back?"
Ayan asked back in a calm tone, "Did the Armstrong family contact you again about Horace?"
Camille shook her head. "No, just curious."
The Armstrong family had been quiet these days. If they kept pestering her for Horace's news, she
would feel exhausted.
Ayan replied, "He should be back in a couple of days."
Camille nodded, and Ayan gently held her hand, turning to look at her. They shared a smile, and the
atmosphere felt sweet, with Kian contemplating whether to break their moment of intimacy.
After several attempts, Ayan's voice broke the silence, "Please, speak."
He was addressing Kian.
Kian hesitated, then softly said, "Mr. Simpson, Mr. Tillery's secretary called me just before you and Mrs.
hadn't come out yet. Mr. Tillery's secretary said that Daisy would arrive in Hance City tomorrow morning
at ten. I've booked a Simpson Group hotel room for her, and I will personally pick her up at the airport."
Kian spoke cautiously, fearing that any misstep in his words would upset Ayan.
After Kian finished speaking, the silence lingered for a while without any response, making him
anxious.
Finally, Camille gently nudged, "Mr. Reid is talking to you, why aren't you answering?"
Camille stared directly at Ayan, not hiding her curiosity and confusion. It was as if she was asking,
"Why aren't you responding even when I ask you such a simple question?"
For Ayan, the project was a bonus, and not having it wouldn't harm Simpson Group, although
international development would be slower without it.
But compared to the project, he didn't hesitate to choose Camille over it.
Her anxiety even brought a slight smile to Camille's face. "I haven't doubted you, so why are you
questioning me when I haven't even expressed anything?"
Camille looked at him helplessly, tilting her head. "You're making Kian misunderstand. He might think
I'm a petty person!"
She lowered the partition between them and continued, "Mr. Reid will be picking up Miss Daisy
tomorrow, right? Make sure the reception is well-prepared since she's a partner. And will there be
dinner together in the evening?"
She directed the last question at Ayan, blinking and awaiting his response.
"That's great! It's like a feast with everyone present." Camille nodded in approval, then asked Ayan,
"Shall we confirm dinner together? That way, I can plan ahead and not have to worry about last-minute
appointments that might prevent me from joining you."
