Behind Sienna stands the King family, unable to offer Mario any help, so she could never agree. Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
Mrs. King's heart has never wavered, and she hopes Mario will continue to rise and do well.
Mrs. King's frank words to Sienna make her nod in agreement, saying, "Since she likes her brother so
much, he must be a good person."
"Yes, as long as you treat him well," Mrs. King added.
Silent all the way to the meeting mall, Sienna and Mrs. King arrived first, followed by Mario leisurely.
Mrs. King said to Mario, "Let's go in first, Jillian will be here soon."
Mrs. King wanted to select a gift for Jillian and was introduced by Sienna to a privately customized
jewelry store, quite famous in Hance City, popular among socialites and in line with young people's
tastes.
Sienna took Mrs. King into the jewelry store, and the shop assistant immediately brought out the most
fashionable styles for them to choose from.
Mrs. King liked a diamond bracelet, classy and versatile, and handed it to Sienna, asking, "What do
you think?"
Sienna nodded and said, "Hmm, it's nice, quite beautiful."
Mrs. King said, "Then this one!"
The bracelet was wrapped up, and the shopping could've ended there, but Mrs. King continued to look
around.
Sienna did not protest, perhaps thinking Mrs. King was truly satisfied with this girl named Jillian, so she
kept selecting expensive gifts!
Sienna never expected that Mrs. King would actually buy her a necklace. When Mrs. King handed it to
her, Sienna was stunned, looking at her incredulously, "Mom, why are you giving me this?"
"For your wedding gift, even though we haven't had a wedding yet, and I haven't given you anything
since you got your marriage certificate. I've kept that in mind all along. Now that the opportunity has
arisen, I'm making up for it. I'll prepare more gifts for you when you have your wedding," Mrs. King said.
After Mrs. King finished speaking, she looked at Mario, who had been silent the whole time. His face
was calm, with a touch of coldness in his brows. However, Mrs. King was not going to let him go so
easily. She asked, "Mario, do you agree?"
Mario then looked up at Mrs. King, both exchanging a brief emotional glance. Since there were shop
assistants nearby, Mario quickly resumed his composure a few seconds later and said, "Yes, as you
think it's good."
Mrs. King also smiled with satisfaction. She looked at Sienna and said, "See, your brother has agreed.
Don't refuse, okay?"
Sienna understood Mrs. King's intention and accepted with a nod.
Mrs. King put the necklace on Sienna herself, their eyes meeting. Mrs. King's gaze was meaningful,
filled with satisfaction and warmth.
Mrs. King's thoughts were profound, but Sienna could guess some of it. She knew that Mrs. King
hoped Sienna would show no interest in Mario and completely give up.
Since he wanted it, Sienna was willing to cooperate.
As Mrs. King was putting the necklace on Sienna, her phone rang.
After glancing at the phone, Mrs. King hurriedly said, "Jillian's here, let's go out!"
Mrs. King had arranged to meet Jillian at the mall entrance, as Jillian was unfamiliar with Hance City
and needed to follow Mrs. King's instructions to get to the designated place.
The three of them left the mall, and Jillian was already waiting at the entrance. Though they had never
met, Sienna recognized her at first sight. Jillian was beautiful and had a very graceful demeanor. Only
someone exceptional could make Mrs. King believe they were worthy of Mario.
Sienna's guess turned out to be correct. When Mrs. King saw Jillian, she immediately greeted her
warmly. Jillian was indeed beautiful and gentle, clearly raised in a loving family, displaying impeccable
manners.
Mrs. King introduced Sienna and Mario to Jillian. When Jillian smiled politely at Sienna, her smile was
courteous, but when she saw Mario, her smile turned slightly shy and admiring, gazing at him without
moving for a long time.
Mrs. King was pleased with Jillian's reaction, but Mario had no response.
Jillian nodded in agreement, and Mrs. King led her forward. Sienna had just taken a step when a force
suddenly grabbed her arm, halting her.
She subconsciously turned to look behind her, meeting Mario's gaze. They stared at each other closely,
and Sienna frowned and asked, "Is there something wrong?"
Mario asked in return, "Do you know what my mother means?"
Sienna was taken aback by his question and didn't know how to respond.
Sienna's silence made Mario's gaze even more intense, containing clear displeasure and anger. He
said, "Are you happy to finally be able to completely rid yourself of me?"
His questioning left Sienna feeling bewildered. With Mrs. King and Jillian not far away, she instinctively
tried to break free from his grip, but Mario's hold remained strong, not releasing her.
Sienna's sarcasm and mockery made Mario's face freeze.
