As soon as Yessica heard it, she immediately waved her hand and sat up straight. She hurriedly said,

"No, please don't. Kian doesn't like this. He's afraid that if I get too close to you, he will frequently

bother you. It's not good to mix personal and professional relationships. He has been working with Mr.

Simpson for a long time, so if he's busy, he must genuinely have something to do."

Yessica had a serious expression on her face as she explained to Camille and Sienna. She didn't want

to cause trouble for Kian. Even though Ayan didn't say anything, she still felt that it wasn't good for

Kian. So Yessica didn't like this and didn't want it to happen.

Worried that Camille and Sienna wouldn't understand, she repeated herself, "Cami, Sienna, I really

don't need this. I know how good you've been to me. It's just that this is Kian's job. He's getting paid, so

he should contribute."

Yessica furrowed her brow, her face filled with a nervous expression.

Camille couldn't help but find it a little amusing, so she quickly said, "Alright, as you wish. I won't do

anything, so don't worry. Hmm? Well then, I'll finish work and leave now. You can just wait here!"

Yessica finally breathed a sigh of relief and quickly bid farewell to Camille and Sienna.

The two of them left the company together and took Sienna's car back to Franklin Bay.

As soon as Camille got into the passenger seat, she dialed Ayan's number on her phone.

Sienna asked, "Can't control yourself, huh?"

Camille didn't say anything, just smiled faintly.

Both of them had a faint smile in their eyes, and the voice of Ayan came through the phone, "Hello?"

His voice was deep, low, and unusually gentle like water.

He said, "Finished work?"

Camille responded with a sound, asking, "And you, have you finished work?"

Ayan said, "Not yet. I still have some work left to do."

Camille asked again, "Will it take much longer?"

She asked softly, her delicate face looking ahead, lost in thought.

The car smoothly drove on the road, and the gentle voice of the man came through the earpiece, "It

should take another hour or so. I had dinner with Rex this afternoon, which delayed me a bit. So you go

home and have dinner first, don't wait for me, okay?"

Camille's eyebrows twitched slightly, and she said in a soft voice, "Why do I have to wait for you for so

long? Am I going to have dinner alone that night? I won't have much appetite like this. Oh well, forget it.

I won't eat. I'll wait for you to come back later, and we can have some late-night snacks together."

Camille sighed and said, already conveying all the information she needed to. Now it depended on how

Ayan would respond.

After all, she had already said that if he didn't come home, she would have dinner alone. It was better

not to eat alone.

She was even skipping dinner. Was he really going to continue working overtime?

What kind of person was Ayan?

Naturally, he was a very clever person. Of course, he could understand the meaning behind her words!

So a smile appeared at the corner of Camille's mouth, unseen by Yessica, as she asked, "Do you want

me to accompany you for dinner?"

Camille pursed her lips, her facial expression unchanged. Her tone was devoid of any emotions or

fluctuations as she said, "Seems like it!"

Ayan chuckled lightly and asked, "You want me to come back, but you won't directly say it. So I won't

receive any benefits, huh? Should I just easily go home and have dinner with you?"

Camille said, "Then do you want to come back? Anyway, if you don't come back, I won't eat. I'm

already on my way home now. I hope our arrival times don't differ by more than twenty minutes, hm?"

Camille was a bit domineering, and Ayan followed suit, raising his hand to rub his forehead. He had

already stood up from his office chair. While walking slowly towards the office door, his voice remained

calm as he said, "Alright, alright, I'll come back now. Are you satisfied now?"

Camille finally smiled contentedly and said, "Yes, very satisfied. Hurry up then!"

They ended the call, and Camille put her phone away. Sienna, who was driving, raised a thumbs-up

gesture to her and said, "You're really something. You're truly a role model among us girls!"

"I think you've had enough."

"What's wrong? Is having Ayan enough for me? Is our relationship so shallow? Why are you satisfied

with me? Why do you treat me like this???"

Sienna acted along, without any hint of guilt.

Camille could only sigh helplessly and shake her head, saying, "It's my fault. I shouldn't have said so

much. I'll keep quiet now. Please focus on driving and don't talk."

Camille did this just to ensure that Yessica could have a complete date. Ayan would be leaving for

another country in a few days, and he would undoubtedly take Kian with him. Although it was work-

related, if they could balance their relationship and work, they should strive for that balance.

The reason Camille was willing to make this call was because Kian had informed Yessica about

working overtime. If he hadn't explained to Yessica that it was due to overtime but instead mentioned

having something to handle, Camille wouldn't have made this call. After all, overtime could be

postponed until tomorrow or completed after returning home in the evening. However, if there was

something to handle, it naturally meant that the matter was more important.

But Camille rarely did this. It seemed to be the first time because she never involved herself in Ayan's

affairs.

It took Camille only about ten minutes to return to Franklin Bay, and Ayan followed closely behind.

Upon hearing the sound of the car, Camille was slightly startled. The speed seemed a bit fast. She

immediately got up from the couch and walked towards the door. Shouldn't she greet him?

She didn't even bother to put on shoes and walked barefoot to the door. Ayan had just arrived at the

entrance, and he saw Camille approaching him eagerly without shoes. Such a scene was rarely seen,

which made him smile slightly and say, "What's going on today? Do you miss me that much?"

Camille didn't deny it at all. On the contrary, she nodded and said, "Indeed, I missed you today,

especially."

He changed his shoes and hung his coat on the nearby coat rack. Then he walked up to Camille, and

she naturally raised her hand and gently circled his waist, whispering, "Did you speed? You came back

so quickly?"

"I can't disobey the boss's orders, can I?"

"Don't do that next time. I can wait for you. It's okay to be a little slower."

"Okay." Ayan hugged her and leaned down to kiss her forehead lightly. He softly asked, "Shall we eat

first?"

"Yes."

She nodded, and only then did she release him.
