Chapter 1256: Thoughts
Mr. Nores explained to Alicia with great earnestness. He had been running around, seeking solutions
for this matter, even causing delays in other projects of Nores Group. If this continued, the impact on
Nores Group would only increase.
Mr. Nores was over fifty years old, and the reason he worked so hard was to ensure that Alicia could
take charge after he retired. However, Alicia had not grown up yet. She always acted according to her
own thoughts, which would put her at a disadvantage in this industry. Especially since Nores Group
was not a top-tier company, it couldn't afford any mistakes. By collaborating with Simpson Group
through this project and establishing a partnership with King Group, in the future, if they encountered
less serious issues, Ayan would be willing to help based on their previous cooperation.
Although Ayan had a fierce work style, especially when it came to collaboration, he wouldn't tolerate
any provocations. Ayan was a reasonable person and wouldn't burn bridges unnecessarily. Mr. Nores
recognized this and was eager to cooperate with Ayan. Of course, he had also considered the
possibility of Ayan being with Alicia, which would allow Nores Group to be completely taken care of by
Ayan. However, since Ayan was already married, Mr. Nores had to let go of that idea. He had
witnessed firsthand how much Ayan valued Camille.
Therefore, he had to make sure Alicia got rid of any thoughts about Ayan and prevent her from easily
provoking Camille. It would only bring endless trouble for himself.
But no matter how much Mr. Nores talked, Alicia didn't listen. She still lived in her own world and
persisted in believing that this project belonged to the Nores family. Even if they were to withdraw, it
shouldn't be the Nores family who withdrew. As capable as Ayan was, he shouldn't have complete
control over this project, right?
Alicia's attitude made Mr. Nores realize the seriousness of the situation. He no longer said much,
simply raising his hand to gently press his temple. His expression turned particularly cold, and a deep
sense of helplessness appeared in his eyes.
Mr. Nores didn't try to persuade Alicia any further. He only instructed his secretary as they drove back
to the Nores family. After Alicia went inside, Mr. Nores spoke indifferently to the secretary, "Find two
reliable bodyguards and book a ticket for her to go abroad. Send her away for a while until this project
stabilizes. Then she can come back."
The secretary nodded, "Okay, I'll make the arrangements."
Mr. Nores had no choice either because Horace's words were right. If the project kept getting
suspended, who knows what Ayan would think? If he felt it was a waste of time, he might just withdraw,
and that would truly be a loss for Nores Group.
The more Mr. Nores thought about it, the more he realized it was not a small matter. He instructed his
secretary to arrange everything as soon as possible, no later than tomorrow morning.
However, he couldn't let Alicia know. He had to send her away quietly, to prevent her from resisting
once she found out.
Mr. Nores couldn't persuade Alicia alone, so before resting for the night, he had a detailed conversation
with Alicia's mother. The project had reached its most crucial stage, and they couldn't let it be ruined
because of Alicia's stubbornness.
But Mr. Nores didn't anticipate that Alicia would overhear their conversation in the room. So, taking
advantage of Mr. Nores not being prepared yet, Alicia left home overnight.
Neither Mr. Nores nor Abigail had any idea that Alicia had left. Alicia slept late and woke up late, so
Abigail didn't bother her. Mr. Nores, of course, went to the company early in the morning.
It wasn't until the secretary finished reporting the work and was about to leave for the meeting with
Simpson Group that she asked Mr. Nores, "Mr. Nores, the ticket and personnel are ready. When do you
plan to send Alicia away?"
"Just today. What time is the flight?"
"2 pm in the afternoon."
"Notify the family and have Alicia's mother send her off."
And then Mr. Nores left for Simpson Group.
The meeting today was originally expected to be attended by Mr. Nores, Horace, Ayan, and the project
team. Mario had returned to Flento City, and last night's incident was conveyed over the phone, so it
was assumed that he might not be able to attend the meeting. However, what they didn't expect was
that as the meeting was about to start, the assistant informed Kian that Mario had arrived.
Kian was also somewhat surprised but immediately asked the assistant to bring him in. He then
promptly reported to Ayan, "Mr. Simpson, Mr. King is here."
Ayan showed no expression, merely glanced around and calmly said to everyone, "Wait a moment, Mr.
King has arrived."
After a brief exchange of glances between Horace and Mr. Nores, they nodded subtly.
The atmosphere quieted down.
Five minutes later, Mario entered with his secretary and his team. Seeing that everyone in the
conference room was already present, he spoke casually, "Sorry for being late. I had some other
matters to attend to today."
Ayan replied, "We just sat down ourselves."
Mario took his seat, then looked at Ayan and said, "I didn't expect Mr. Simpson to resume the project
so quickly, so I had to deal with some company matters in Flento City."
"I understand. Last night, we thought Mr. King couldn't attend the dinner, so we were planning to have a
video conference with him. But since Mr. King made it back, we don't need the video conference
anymore." Ayan responded calmly, then gave Kian a glance. "Let's start the meeting!"
Four companies are collaborating on this project, and each company has assigned their own teams to
be responsible. However, now we need to select the main project team and the supporting team.
Otherwise, there will inevitably be disagreements and other issues in the upcoming collaboration."
This is also one of the main topics of today's meeting.
Mr. Nores excused himself and instinctively looked at everyone, waiting for their opinions.
Ayan remained silent, maintaining his composure.
As for Mario, he simply nodded slightly but didn't speak, leaving it unclear whether he agreed or not.

After Horace finished speaking, his gaze unconsciously swept across the room, eventually landing on
Ayan. They exchanged a brief glance before looking away.
Horace's withdrawal relieved Mr. Nores, as if he felt relieved to have one less competitor. At the same
time, he had a higher regard for Horace, thinking highly of him as a person. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
Ayan had remained silent all along, and his silence brought a sense of calm to the atmosphere.
Mario looked at Ayan, gave a faint smile, and asked, "Why isn't Mr. Simpson speaking? Do you have
any thoughts, Mr. Simpson?"
