Chapter 1234: Outsiders

Page looked at Camille with a displeased expression, her words filled with a slight anger. She believed

she was Camille's mother, and Camille should listen to her. Moreover, this was not a small matter; it

involved a significant amount of money. Camille was merely being criticized by someone, so what's the

big deal?

Page was also worried that Camille wouldn't budge, so without waiting for Camille's response, she

continued, "Let me tell you, this matter is crucial for the Armstrong family. If the Nores family pulls out of

this project, it will be a significant loss for us."

Camille pursed her lips and looked at Page with indifference. She had no reaction, and her eyes were

cold. Perhaps because of her cold attitude, Page's eyes flickered slightly, looking at Camille tentatively

as she asked, "I said so much just now, did you hear any of it?"

Camille remained expressionless and asked coldly, "Are you done speaking?"

Page was taken aback, not fully understanding the meaning behind Camille's words, but Camille's tone

wasn't pleasant, so she naturally felt disgruntled.

She said, "Call Ayan right now and make things clear!"

"What if I don't?" Camille asked indifferently.

Page seemed surprised by Camille's direct refusal. She couldn't believe it and said, "Camille, do you

even know what you're saying? Can't you stop being so foolish? Are you willing to burden the entire

Armstrong family for the sake of the Nores family?"

"How is it burdening the Armstrong family? The Armstrong family hasn't invested any money or made

any commitments. What does it have to do with them? Let me tell you the truth. If Alicia doesn't

apologize to me, I won't let this project continue," Camille said coldly, her tone firm and non-negotiable.

Originally, Camille didn't plan to be so firm and decisive in her words. She didn't want to have this kind

of confrontation. However, Page's attitude was starting to annoy her.

At this point, she had no intention of reasoning with her; instead, she continued to speak in a

commanding tone. To be honest, it was becoming a bit ridiculous.

Camille pursed her lips, and the coldness on her face grew stronger, eventually taking over her entire

expression.

She silently took a deep breath and looked at Page, whose face turned extremely indifferent after her

words. Just as Camille was about to explode, she spoke first, "I've said everything I needed to say. If

you don't have anything else, you can go back. I need to start working."

"Camille, are you rebelling? Have you gone mad? Do you even know what you said just now?" Page

was infuriated. She slammed her hand on the desk and stood up from her chair in one swift motion.

She looked down at Camille, her eyes filled with anger and questioning.

However, Camille showed no fear at all. She simply raised her gaze slightly to meet Page's eyes and

said coldly, "Of course, I know what I said. It's just that you don't understand. I only want to tell you one

thing. I won't go and find Alicia or anyone else from the Nores family because I'm not the one who did

something wrong. Why should I do that?"

Camille let out a cold snort, a faint smirk flashing in her eyes. Her words naturally infuriated Page, but

even if she was angry, what could she do? In the end, she couldn't do anything.

Camille didn't want to waste any more time. She reminded Page once again that she could leave and

then asked Yessica to come in and escort her out.

Regardless of what Page said, Camille pretended not to hear.

Let her be angry if she wants to be angry. It didn't matter to Camille anyway.

After leaving Camille's company, Page immediately called Brody and told him about the situation. Of

course, she didn't mention her demand for gifts; she only said that Camille refused.

There was a brief silence from Brody's end, and then he said, "Arrange a meeting with Mrs. Nores. Use

the excuse of having afternoon tea to discuss this matter with her." Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

"Arrange a meeting with Mrs. Nores?" Page wasn't familiar with Mrs. Nores. They hadn't met much, so

how could she approach her about this?

Brody replied, "If you don't arrange a meeting with Mrs. Nores, and Camille has been refusing all along,

then tell me, what should we do?"

"But it was the Nores family who did something wrong. If we take the initiative to meet with them, won't

we be allowing them to take advantage?" Page argued.

"Are you still considering that now? Let me tell you, you better handle this matter for me quickly.

Otherwise, if Armstrong Corp faces any crisis, everything you're enjoying right now will be gone."

Brody began to threaten Page because he didn't have a better solution. Since Camille refused to back

down, he could only send Page to approach the Nores family.

However, Page was unwilling to do so, and naturally, she got into a heated argument with Brody. The

couple's phone conversation was intense, and their tones were far from pleasant. Onlookers couldn't

help but turn around repeatedly, wanting to eavesdrop on the drama.

But Page didn't think it was a big deal. Both she and Brody were in a state where they had to win in any

situation, with anyone. They could only feel satisfied if they came out on top.

As for the process, they didn't care. As long as the outcome was what they desired, it was enough.

This heated exchange continued for a while until Brody abruptly ended the call, not giving Page a

chance to speak. Page was so angry that she almost threw her phone. She took a deep breath, her

face contorting into an ugly expression. After careful consideration, she came to the conclusion that it

was all Camille's fault. If Camille hadn't caused trouble, Page wouldn't have ended up in this situation.

How could Brody have the opportunity to order her to please the Nores family?

The more Page thought about it, the worse her expression became. She narrowed her eyes and grew

increasingly indifferent. Since Camille refused to apologize, wasn't it all about saving face?

Fine then. If Camille valued her dignity so much, she would make sure Camille had none.

The more Page thought about it, the more she thought her idea was right. So, she headed straight for

her car.

Sienna got wind of Page's actions and walked into Camille's office with a concerned look, asking, "Are

you okay?"

Camille shook her head and said, "I'm fine."

Sienna continued, "What did she say? Why did she want to see you?"

"It's all because of the Nores family. She wanted me to go and find Alicia, tell her that I'm not holding a

grudge against them, and even asked me to apologize to Alicia!" Camille roughly explained Page's

words to Sienna. The more she spoke, the more she found it amusing. It was truly laughable. Why

would a mother be like this?

Camille could understand why Page treated Grace better, but she couldn't comprehend why Page

would unconditionally side with an outsider when dealing with others.

Was she deliberately making herself detestable?

Camille's expression turned cold, and the look in her eyes grew even icier. The more she thought about

it, the more heart-wrenching it became.

Sienna's face also turned grim after hearing all of this. She angrily said, "Who does she think she is,

making you apologize to Alicia? Is she out of her mind? Is she an idiot? Or has she become rusty after

being pampered for so long?"
