"Drive to the mall in front." Adam ordered the driver.
"Yes, Mr. Williams." Although not sure what Adam was doing, the driver immediately turned the steering wheel and drove to the underground garage of the mall.
"Check the location of a diamond ring store called DarryRing in the mall" Adam ordered coldly to the assistant in the front passenger seat.
"Yes, Mr. Williams." The assistant immediately checked the exact location of the store. Soon, the assistant showed Adam the location map on the phone screen.
Adam nodded and waited for the car to drive into the underground garage of the mall. When the car stopped, he got out of the car and went straight to the store.
There were very few customers in the whole mall as it was just two o'clock. Many of the staff in the mall were a little sleepy. When Adam and his assistant walked into the store one after another, some sleepy staff were stupefied for a long time. When they came to their senses, they all rushed forward excitedly and served Adam in the most considerate way.
Adam turned his nose up at the diamond rings on display at the counter because they were too small.
The staff knew Adams's wealth and status, and immediately took out a few rare treasures. However, they were not real objects, only pictures. All were at least ten carats in first-class color and purity.
Adam browse through them all and chose a 17.7-carat blue diamond, whose pure blue color of the sea would be the best fit for Rebecca.
"Mr. Williams, can you tell us your wife's name and identity card? Do you want to carve anything else on the ring other than her name?" After Adam had chosen the diamond, the staff smiled and respectfully asked.
Adam glanced at the staff and nodded slightly. Then, he took his special pen from his assistant and wrote down Rebecca Smith's name and ID number on the paper.
He had never seen Rebecca's identity card, but he once saw Rebecca's ID number on the marriage certificate.
Over the course of more than a year, he looked over and over the marriage certificate, which he had shredded, and naturally learned Rebecca's ID number by heart.
After writing down a long list of ID number, he wrote down other words: I'm sorry, I love you.
He said to himself, "I'm sorry, Rebecca. I love you."
"I know it's too late. Please forgive me!"
"Mr. Williams, when do you need the ring?" Seeing what Adam wrote, the staff were confused, wondering why he had written "I'm sorry" before "I love you". But the staff couldn't interfere with the guests' privacy.
"As soon as possible," Adam replied briefly.
"We'll try to deliver the ring to you in three days."
Meanwhile, Rebecca and Justin were in the lobby on the first floor of Matthey Group.
The receptionist called to the staff of the president's office, and was informed that Adam had gone out on an errand and hadn't come back yet. So Rebecca and Justin had to wait here.
"Mrs. Williams, would you like to wait in the lounge? Do you need a cup of coffee or something?" Everyone in New York all knew Rebecca, not to mention the receptionist of the Matthey Group.
