Chapter 15
Chapter 15
Micah’s point of view.
A weak and useless mate? Just great. I can’t believe Mateo would stand up for her when he had a wife who was watching everything unfold before
her.
“You fool” My wolf growled as I closed my eyes. I wasn’t going to argue with him again. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
“Hey babe,” Kate said, coming into my office as I looked up at her.
She was glowing, as usual. Her hips swerved as the walked up to me. She was all that I imagined in a mate.
Not some weak woman who can be beaten up by some little weak omega who can’t even fight for her life.
“What’s up!” I asked her as she came round the desk, sitting by the edge of the table as she folded her arms,
“So you are hell–bent on not having the ceremony?” She asked, forwarding her arms as I nodded my head.
“I will never accept her as my mate. And soon Mateo will realise that his making a mistake accepting such a penon as on the chair as she scoffed
his mate,” I said, leaning back
“But still Mateo doesn’t look like his willing. I mean, immediately after dinner I saw him heading towards there,” she said as I felt my chest tighten.
This was all my wall.
“Mateo?”
“Yes. I saw him, but who knows what his thinking” She shrugged her shoulders.
“Anyone I wanted to get your permission! Just to avoid people from talking about could get Zara to help out with the Alpha’s ball”

“No!” I snapped.
She wasn’t asking me to let that woman help around this pack
“Habe, listen,” she tried to explain, but I got up from the chair.
Walking away.
“No! I will not talk about this. How do you expect me to see her in this house? We know nothing about her. She might even be an enemy,” I shook my head, walking towards the window.
“That’s the thing. If we can get close to her. We might know who she is. Plus, if you hate her so much, why don’t you reject her?” she asked me. I turned to look at her.
“Reject her
She nods.
“I can’t. Mateo used to make me promise that I wouldn’t reject her until when things were calm,”
“Why?”
“With all the attacks going on. He believes it is helping his wolf to get stronger. If I rejected her, that bond we share with her might be weak.” I explained to her as she nodded her head.
“Has he been intimate with her yet?
“I don’t know. Isn’t he with her right now?” I shrugged my shoulders, looking out the window.
There was an awkward silence as I listened out to the chattering around the pack and all the people getting excited.
What about you!
“What about me?” I turned to look at her.
“Your wolf? Is it getting stronger?” She asked, her voice almost breaking
“No! I’m resisting our bond, I haven’t felt any different,” I explained to her as she nodded her head.
“Anyway. Let me help with her,” she said to me as I pursed my lips tighter.
“This will show what kind of pack we have. If we showed people that we respect tradition. We might be winning over a few more alphas during the ceremony,” she insisted, placing her hand on my shoulder as she gave me a weak smile.
“Fine. But make sure she stays far away from me,” I cautioned as she beamed with a smile, wrapping her hands around my neck as she kissed my
check.
“Thank you,” she said to me as I pulled her closer, planting my lips on hers, and she beamed with a smile.
“Anything for you,” I whispered as my hands tugged up in her hair.
The next morning. I went for my usual run before training as I went past Zara’s house. I ran as fast as I could, making my way to the river banks,
I am as fast as I could as I heard the voices of Daniel and Zara.
“But wait. So you have never sparred before?” Daniel asked her.
“No. I tried once and ended up almost dying. My father made me promise never to do it again because I am a defect,” she casually said, laughing it off.
“I don’t think you are a defective wolf. Just a bit of training you can do better.” He replied as 1 stood up watching the two
“Well” she shrugged her shoulders.
“So, do you also come here for runs, or maybe you followed me?” She asked as they started to walk away.
of them chatting
“Why would I follow my alpha’s mate?” He asked as she chuckled softly, stopping in front of him
“Because he asked you to? Don’t worry. I won’t try to run away again,” she said to him as he scoffed.
“After yesterday, I think with any opportunity you can run,” He said to her as they both chuckled,
“I wouldn’t. Think I have a higher chance of surviving here than out there with a strange creature that wants me?”
“Strange creature?”
“Yes. The sharp shifter. He said something about being his key, but I don’t know what that means” she went on chatting as I closed my eyes, listening to their conversation.
It was so distinct because of the distance.
“Yes. That was so weird,” she replied as he chuckled, grabbing her hand.
“You are too fragile. Let’s start every morning at the gyn. Okay?” He suggested to her.
She nods her head
*No. You need to pledge.” He said to her as she chuckled. There was some silence and giggles as I shook my head.

“Well, okay. I Zara Laurel Owens, daughter of Zane Gideon Owens. Promise to abide by my instructions and rules as I se finished saying before bursting our laughing.
Since when were they close! That name sounded familiar. I have heard it before.
“Okay. I Daniel Donovan, promise to protect you as you serve under me.” He said as I clenched my fists.
How could they be making such pledges about stupid things?
I made my way back home for a quick shower before attending training.
After my shower, I made my way to Kate’s office to look at all the guests who were coming for the Alpha’s ball.
Her name sounded too familiar to me. Heading straight through the tablet. I went to the list of alphas and their beta.
Well.. What do you know? I inwardly thought as I looked at her father’s name.
Zane Owens.
I chuckled softly as 1 looked at the screen. This was going to be interesting.
“Looking for something!” Kate’s voice came behind me as I scrolled through the list, moving on from the name.

“Yes. I was trying to check which alphas confirmed their attendance,” I said, placing the tablet on the table as she raised her eyebrows, folding her
‘Really? Since when did you get interested in this?” She asked, tilting her head.
“I’m not. Just want to know whose coming or if it’s even worth looking at,” I lied to her as she nodded her head.
“I guess I will see you later,” I said to her, making my way past her.

Couldn’t believe this was what was happening. Now I was curious to know what exactly happened to her and the alpha’s marriage.
So she had three mates?
