Mated to my sister’s ugly mate

Dylan was quiet for a moment. He spoke honestly, “We met once before.”

Alpha Kilian’s voice became colder. “She is Shadow.”

“I know. She is your new wife, Shadow.” Dylan’s voice suddenly became otherworldly.

Alpha Kilian frowned and stopped talking. He didn’t say anything else and hung up the phone.

The next morning.

Shadow got up and made breakfast. When she saw “Alpha Dominic” come downstairs, she couldn’t help but think about what happened yesterday.

She brought out the breakfast and sneaked a glance at “Alpha Dominic.”

Alpha Kilian looked at his phone and took a sip of water. He suddenly said, “Why are you peeking at me?”

Shadow raised her eyebrows and looked at him playfully. “I see that you look a little down. Do you want me to cook some beef strips for you?”

Alpha Kilian paused at her words. He looked up and smiled meaningfully. “You are the only woman in this house. Are you trying to nourish my kidneys by cooking beef strips?”

Shadow glared at him and turned to enter the kitchen.

She rarely won against “Alpha Dominic” when it came to bantering.

In the end, the two of them left unhappily.

As usual, Frank drove Shadow to work at Eden Group.

In the car, Shadow couldn’t help but ask, “Frank, has your young master always been like this, never meeting outsiders?”

Frank thought of Alpha Kilian who ran around every day and said with a guilty conscience, “Yes.”

“Has he seen a doctor?” After Shadow finished speaking, she realized that her words could be easily misunderstood. She explained, “What I mean is, it’s not possible for him to never see anyone for the rest of his life. He should live a normal life.”

Alpha Kilian, who needed to live a normal life, called Frank at that moment.

“Sorry, I have to take this call.” Frank answered the phone.

Alpha Kilian sounded serious. “Keep a close eye on Shadow.”

Alpha Kilian’s request was a little strange, but Frank didn’t ask further. He replied, “Okay.”

Shadow arrived at the entrance of the company and met Jessica.

Jessica looked at the car that brought Shadow and a twinge of jealousy appeared in her eyes.

If she was the one who married into the Srnoult family back then, she would be the one coming to work in that car every day.

Shadow tidied her hair and walked up to Jessica, who was wearing high heels like her. She smiled and greeted, “Morning, Manager.”

Jessica snorted coldly and ignored her.

When they reached the office, Shadow continued photocopying the remaining information from yesterday, just like the day before.

Jessica’s actions were clearly meant to make things difficult for Shadow. Everyone in the project department noticed, but no one dared to say anything.

However, this didn’t stop them from gossiping about it and spreading the news to Jason.

Right before lunch break, Jason called Jessica into his office.

“Even if you don’t like Shadow, don’t be so obvious about it! If others see this, they will start gossiping!”

Jessica didn’t seem to care at all. “I am the chairman’s daughter and the manager of the project department. Who dares to say anything?”

“If you want to suppress Shadow, you should at least endure a little bit.” Jason felt somewhat disappointed. He used to think Jessica was quite clever, but now she seemed so foolish!

“Alright, alright, I’ll take her out to discuss the projects this afternoon.” Jessica didn’t want to listen to Jason’s long lecture. She turned around and walked out.

Shadow had been staying in the photocopy room for the past two days.

Someone came by to print some documents. Shadow greeted them with a smile. She was beautiful and had a pleasant temperament. She was even on good terms with the chairman. As a result, her colleagues had a better impression of her.

A kind-hearted colleague reminded her, “You don’t need to photocopy all of these. These documents are useless.”

Shadow looked surprised and disbelieving, “They’re all useless?”

At that moment, Jessica’s secretary came to look for her. “Shadow, the manager wants to see you.”

“In that case, I’ll go see the manager first.” Shadow smiled and stopped her work. She headed to Jessica’s office.

As soon as she entered, Jessica threw a stack of documents at her. “These are the documents for the cooperation project we’re going to discuss today. Take a look. We’ll discuss it in the afternoon.”

Shadow accepted the papers and glanced at them. She realized she didn’t understand anything, and there were many technical terms written on them.

It was as if there was a mountain separating her from the industry. She was clueless, completely clueless.

She hadn’t transferred to the project department with good intentions. Jessica was bringing her along to discuss the projects, so she definitely didn’t have good intentions.

She needed to investigate this company first.

She tried to investigate but couldn’t find anything.

Hazel definitely didn’t know about these things. Henry might know, but she couldn’t ask him.

Thinking about it, it seemed like her only option was to ask “Alpha Dominic”.

For some reason, even though “Alpha Dominic” seemed to have nothing to do all day, he was still a member of the Lances family. The Lances family was in charge of business, so he should know these professional terms.

During the lunch break, Shadow called “Alpha Dominic”.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

She was a little worried that no one would answer, but surprisingly, the call was picked up after a few rings.

Shadow remembered that she had scolded him in the morning, so her tone was a little guilty. “Alpha Dominic, are you busy right now?”

“Do you need something?”

Shadow felt guilty and said, “I want to treat you to lunch.”

“Tell me the reason,” “Alpha Dominic” replied casually.

Did this man have some sort of magic power to see through things?

Shadow stopped feeling shy and boldly said, “I need a favor from you.”

“Alpha Dominic” didn’t mock her as usual. He made a decision right away. “I will come to Eden Group to pick you up.”

“Okay,” Shadow said.

But when she hung up the phone, she started to feel that something was off.

She had asked “Alpha Dominic” for help, so shouldn’t she go and find him?

And yet, he wanted to pick her up by car!

“Alpha Dominic” arrived very quickly. Shadow didn’t wait for him at the entrance of Eden Group. Instead, she went to a less crowded intersection to meet him.

When Alpha Kilian found her, his expression was very unpleasant. “Get in the car!”

Was he so embarrassed by their relationship?

Shadow finally realized why his expression was so bad and apologized softly. “I’m sorry. Many people at Eden Group have seen you. I’m afraid they’ll start gossiping if they see us together.”

Alpha Kilian didn’t say a word. He just smiled coldly.

This feeling of hiding was very uncomfortable. If she had known this was the result, she would have let him do whatever he wanted that night when she got drunk!

Shadow was frightened by “Alpha Dominic’s” expression, as if he wanted to kill her. She shut her mouth and didn’t say anything else.

“Alpha Dominic” drove her to a restaurant with few people.

The two of them sat down and placed their orders. Alpha Dominic’s gaze fell on the folder of documents in her hands. His voice was low. “Show me what you have.”

Shadow looked at him in shock. She slowly handed him the documents. “How did you know that this is what I need help with?”

“Alpha Dominic” looked at her as if she were a fool.
