Mated to my sister’s ugly mate

Shadow froze as soon as she heard the voice, her ears perking up at the familiar tone. She glanced at the phone screen, a growl rumbling in her throat. It was still an unknown number, but she did not need to think that it was the voice of “Alpha Dominic.”

Shadow’s hackles raised, her wolf instincts kicking in. Why was he calling her? Hadn’t he left yet? Snarling softly, she muttered to herself, “It’s always the alpha causing trouble.”

“The Lances pack is my territory. Why haven’t you left yet?” she barked into the phone, her voice laced with irritation and defiance.

The reply she got was the sound of the call being terminated, leaving her fuming. Shadow looked at the black screen in disbelief. He had hung up on her? Her alpha, leaving her hanging like this? She was so frustrated that she couldn’t help but let out a frustrated howl, her anger echoing through the night.

Did everyone take pleasure in making things difficult for her? First, her own family didn’t love her, and now she was forced into a marriage with a man who despised her. And if that wasn’t enough, this “Alpha Dominic” kept pestering her, causing more unnecessary problems in her life.

She really did not want to bother with this shameless man. But, if she were to ignore what he said, would he tell Alpha Kilian that she had seduced him? When the thought crossed her mind, Shadow sighed and staggered back, her heart heavy with worry.

Although she had threatened her own family and rival pack members before, if “Alpha Dominic” were to spread false rumors, she was done for. The Lances family would do anything to protect their reputation, even sacrificing their own. And she, Shadow, would be the one paying the price.

She glanced at the text messages and made a decision. She would face this head-on, whatever the cost. With determination in her eyes, Shadow headed towards the market, her wolf senses heightened as she moved through the night.

When she entered the apartment, the scent hit her first – the scent of an alpha. Shadow’s body tensed, her senses on high alert. And in the dimly lit room, she saw “Alpha Dominic’s” tall frame sitting on her single sofa.

Her amber eyes narrowed, her wolf instincts urging her to be cautious. The handsome man tilted his head, his piercing gaze fixed on her. His presence filled the room, and if it wasn’t for his pale look, as if recovering from an injury, one would never suspect that he had been shot.

The way he was sitting in her small, humble apartment, like a king in his castle, sent shivers down her spine. It was strange to see such a privileged man in her modest space.

She glanced at him for a few seconds, then looked away, not wanting to show weakness. Shadow placed the groceries down on one side and bent down to change her shoes, silently preparing herself for whatever was to come.

As she did so, she felt a chill crawl up her spine, and a dark shadow seemed to engulf her, wrapping around her like a predator stalking its prey. Her heart raced as she slowly raised her head, meeting the intense gaze of the man beside her. But his eyes were not on her – they were scanning the groceries she had just brought back.

After what felt like an eternity, “Alpha Dominic” finally looked at her, his voice dripping with disdain. “These are the things you bought? Pathetic.”This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Shadow looked at him, her eyes filled with defiance. “Takeouts are expensive. I’m broke.”

“Is this how you plan to take care of yourself? With scraps and leftovers?” he sneered, his words laced with superiority.

Alpha Dominic’s words stung, but Shadow refused to let him see her pain. She turned away and headed towards the small kitchen, pushing back the tears threatening to spill. This was not the first time she had been insulted, and it wouldn’t be the last. But she would not let his words break her spirit.

As she served the food, Shadow’s eyes flickered to “Alpha Dominic,” who had now moved to the dining table. His expression turned stoic, as if the mere presence of her cooking displeased him.

Ignoring his silent disapproval, Shadow began to eat, savoring the flavors of her own creation. The food was simple, but it brought her comfort and nourishment. She ate gracefully, not letting his presence affect her enjoyment.

Just as she took a mouthful of rice, she glanced at the man beside her. His face had darkened immensely, his expression filled with anger and frustration. Her heart skipped a beat. What had she done?

Before she could react, Alpha Dominic abruptly pushed away from the table, his chair scraping against the floor. With tense muscles and clenched fists, he stormed out of the apartment, leaving Shadow bewildered and concerned.

Her steps were hesitant, wavering between curiosity and caution. But in the end, her caring nature won over, and she couldn’t bear the thought of him being in pain. She put down her chopsticks and rushed outside, forgetting her own meal in her urgency.

“What’s wrong? What happened?” she called out, her voice filled with worry and compassion.
