“There was really an episode between Hazel and Axel last night?” The Alpha asked Rex who was standing a few meters away from him

Hazel pushed the door open and walked into the home of Axel. She walked into the living room as his lovely scent filled her nose with every step that she took.

He was seated on a sofa in the living room, his eyes glued to the television, pretending not to care about her presence in his home.

“Axel” she called his name but he gave no response and kept his eyes on the television.

“Axel” she called his name once more but he still remained silent.

Hazel groaned and turned off the television, finally getting his attention.

“What do you want from me? Why are you here?” He questioned, his eyes totally different from the eyes she remembered the previous night.

“Yes, we are going to talk about it” she replied and walked even closer to him while he maintained his calm on the sofa.

“We are going to talk about how you did not want any other guy to touch me last night and how you could not resist me…”

“You changed all of that already” she added and bent down to look closely at his face, having reached right in front of him.

“You have changed all of that, Axel” her voice turned thinner and in a way made Axel feel hot.

Perhaps his human side would have been able to keep the words in but not when his wolf side kicked in.

“It’s dangerous for you to stay with me for now! Just do what I said and stay away from me for now, Hazel! Just stay away from me!!”

“What are you hiding from me, Axel?” She questioned, feeling her heart squeeze in pain seeing the frustration and desperation in her eyes.

The frustration of not being able to hold and love her the way he wanted to and the desperation of wanting to protect her from his father by sticking to his end of the deal.

“Hazel….”

“For now, let’s stay away from each other, Hazel!”

“But I do not want to stay away from you, Axel!” She groaned, with tears filling her eyes once more.

“You have to!”

“Fine!”

“But first, I want to hear you tell me that you love me. I want to hear you promise me that you will tell me everything going on very soon and will come back for me because….”

“Axel” she held his hands gently from her shoulders and stared deeply into his eyes.

“Because I have grown so used to you that I cannot do without you anymore.”

“I will… I promise you I will stay away from you as soon as I hear you assuring me that you love me”

He took her hands away from her hands and caressed her face gently.

“Hazel, you know it. I love you so much” his eyes held more frustration.

Hazel crushed her body against him, hugging him tightly.

“Hazel, you have to leave now.”

Hazel remained in his arms, not wanting to let go for a long time. Even though her heart had now been reassured of his love, her mind was troubled as she knew nothing of his troubles yet.

“Hazel” Axel groaned and she hesitantly pulled away from him.
