Marrying my high school bully

The request

Lorraine

Gladness filled my heart as I peeled the wedding dress off my body and had the attendant package my dress. The final fitting had been done and I was more than ready to stand in front of Dexter to declare my vows.

Drake, whose arm was getting better, drove me from the dress store to the location of our wedding, where Dexter and I would meet up to supervise the decorations of the venue and make changes where needed.

The view that I saw when I got down from the car got my eyes popping in pleasant surprise. This was exactly what I wanted-what I dreamt of.

The white cauliflowers and pink carnations bordered towards the beach front in Malibu, with a lighter shade of pink curtains draped on the pillars.

“It’s so beautiful,” I muttered under my uneven breath, my eyes darting around and taking note of the ethereal scenery.

The decorators knew their jobs so well because I could hardly detect any changes to be made.

My eyes caught the sight of the gray tuberoses which were arranged in several bouquets, stretching along the aisle till it got to the platform.

How they were able to blend the tuberoses and the pink carnation was what I couldn’t wrap my head around, but I couldn’t complain because it was perfect l. I was so engrossed in the creative combination of the colorful flowers that I didn’t sense Dexter’s presence.

“You seem impressed.” His deep voice rumbled behind me as I beamed. “Do you like it that much?”

I nodded, my eyes watering as I spun around to look at the man who was delighted to be with me. “Of course, I love it. The color patterns, the arrangement. Everything is perfect…”

“I know, right?” He replied, his eyes blaring with satisfaction.

My eyes widened as I got the hint. “Did you put them up to this?”

“Yup.” He popped the ‘p’ and continued. “I want to make our day special and I know that these little things matter to you, so…” He trailed off when I silenced him by putting my index finger on his sexy lips. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

“The way you go all out for me is amazing, Dexter. Your love is engraved in my heart and I will never forget it.” I assured him confidently.

In a heartbeat, his arm went around my neck, merging our lips together. No pressure, just two lovers enjoying the beautiful sparkles of love that surrounded them.

I was the first to pull away, remembering that we had workers around and some of them might be distracted. I wanted to give them a show, but the urge to have a perfect wedding overwhelmed my impulsive thought.

“I’ll be leaving for the hotel tonight.” I announced and a small frown appeared on his face.

“Do you really have to go?” He whined like a toddler which was kinda cute.

I liked it when he was free with me; not the CEO, or grumpy or demanding boss, but a husband who was pouting angrily because I didn’t want to stay with him until the wedding was over.

“Yes, babe, I have to. It’s the rule.” I tried to pacify him, but the scowl on his face and his stubbornly set jaw showed that he didn’t agree with me. “Stop being stubborn,” I caressed his bare chest through the half buttoned black shirt he wore.

“I’m not being stubborn. I can’t just believe that you’ll be staying away from me for two days when we’ve been together for almost a year.” He dragged on while I rolled my eyes, tightening my grip on my blue silver purse.

I didn’t want to laugh because it would further annoy him, but I couldn’t help the smirk that rose to my lips.

“You’ll be fine, Dexter. Besides, I think you need to miss me a little and get acquainted with Williams. Remember he’ll be walking me down the aisle.” I reminded him and he rolled his eyes back at me.

After the last coincidental meeting between Williams and I, the thought of having him walk me down the aisle never left my mind so I acted on it and he agreed.

I didn’t see anything wrong because I felt at ease with him. Conversing with him was as easy as ABC. The connection was magical and I somehow wished that he was my father.

“Arnold is there too. You can go to the club and have some fun. Men’s night?” I suggested as he looked away, acting like all I said fell on deaf ears.

He scoffed, knowing that he couldn’t change my mind. “I think I’ll consider that.” He grumbled, then I stretched a little to kiss his forehead.

“Can you walk me to the car? I need to meet up with the girls at the hotel.”

He nodded, dipping his hands into his pockets as he walked behind me. Then he stopped. “Can’t we have a quickie?”

I slapped his arm playfully and walked faster. “You can return to work. I don’t need you anymore.”

Since the wedding would be held in Malibu, I and the girls consisting of: Victoria and Stella, decided to book a suite in one of their five star hotels.

I paid for it with my own money and I could remember smiling with satisfaction after transferring the money. After the photoshoot at the beach, several brands reached out to me for my service and I willingly offered it to them.

Dexter taught me how to make bargains without faltering or feeling inadequate, and I couldn’t deny that his lessons had helped me a lot.

After settling into our suite, I decided to take a tour around the grand hotel since Victoria and Stella were yet to show up. I found a big clean pool seated between the bar and the sauna and decided to sit by it.

I missed Dexter and I was on the verge of calling him, but I didn’t want to come off as clingy so I decided against it. The pool was quiet with a few couples having a swim inside.

I couldn’t wait for the wedding to be over so that I’d bring Dexter here.

“Lorraine?” I heard my name and jutted my chin at the direction of the voice to find Emilia standing beside me, wearing a black swimsuit.

I quickly retracted my legs from the pool and got up. “Hello, what a pleasant surprise.” I quickly donned a warm smile. “I didn’t expect to see you here.”

“Well, I decided to take a break from work so I came here.” She explained then gave me a once over. “How’s your wedding plans going?”

I squinted my eyes in surprise. How did she know about that?

“Don’t be surprised, it’s all over the news.” She added and I felt better.

I don’t know why, but I couldn’t help feeling wary whenever I was around her. Maybe it was due to the bad blood that ran between us earlier, but since we had settled our differences, I wasn’t supposed to feel this way.

“Oh! It’s going fine.”

She palmed her hands together and stared at me pleadingly. “I have a request to make.” Her tone grew soft.

“Bring it on.” I urged her.

“Can I be a part of your bridal train?”
