“You didn’t lock the door.”
She really didn’t have the habit of locking the door at home, because there were no outsiders. Sometimes, Leonard and Ben would come looking for her, and she felt it was a hassle to open the door, so, she simply left it open.
This way, it would be convenient for them to come in.
Looking at Charlie, she said, “Didn’t you go back yesterday? Why are you here again!”
She tucked her feet under the quilt. After making sure she was covered tightly, she spoke to him.
Charlie said, “I came over early in the morning.”
Looking at the time, Theresa said, “It’s so early. Is it good for you to come to my place every day? Don’t you hav work to do?”
“Mom said she wouldn’t let me come home until I got you and the kids back.” Charlie looked pathetic on his face.
Theresa looked at him and simply didn’t know what to say.
