Alvin knocked on the door to Mason’s office before stepping in while holding a package box, the same package box Mason usually receives when he always gets threatened.

“Boss, it’s for you again” Alvin dropped it on the table and the difference here was Skyler was sitting beside him. Her kids weren’t with her, they were in the mansion because they wanted to stay with their great-grandfather.

“Why are the both of you looking at way? Did you order something?” She asked and he took a deep breath before staring at her.

“It’s like a long friend of mine is back and ready to step on us again” he replied before slowly opening the box.

There was a letter and a phone.

“I thought you said those threatening you haven’t bothered you in a while?” Skyler asked when she saw it.

“I thought so too, but let’s see what this person has today” he murmured before opening the letter.

It says I have your sister and immediately after that, the phone beeped and a picture of Ivy tied to a chair, appeared on the phone screen.

Skyler’s eyes widened and so as Mason. The phone began ringing and Mason didn’t waste a second to pick it up.

“Where is she!?” He stood up and asked in a loud voice.

Instead of Blake who was on the bed phone, he began laughing and Mason couldn’t stand him.

“I said! Where is she? Why do you have my sister you bastard!” Mason repeated his question.

“You should find me if you wanna find out Mason and don’t worry. I’m not gonna hide this time” Blake let out a creepy smile before ending the call.

“Alvin, get the tracking device! We have somewhere to go” Mason faced Alvin who nodded before leaving the office, Mason was about to go with him when Skyler held him back.

“Let me go with you” She looked at him with pleading eyes.

“Go beautiful, it won’t be safe out there so you should go home and stay with the kids” he gave her a soft reply.

Skyler wanted to argue but she reasoned what he said and pressed her lips together. Mason was right, it wouldn’t be smart if she followed him. If something bad happens to both of them then the kids will be alone.

She slowly let go of his hands and nodded.

When Mason got into the car with Alvin, his phone began ringing and it was from the old man. He sighed and picked up the call.

“Mason, Ivy is in danger,” the old man said in a rush and he wasn’t able to break the full news because he got interrupted.

“I know and I know who took her and I think I might know where they are” he replied.

“Then you should wait for me so we can go together,” the old man said but Mason didn’t.

“I’m sorry Grandpa, it’s too dangerous and since this person has been after me then I think I should go alone. Don’t worry about me Grandpa, watch over Skyler and my kids” After saying that, Mason hung up.

Grandpa Mario shouted Mason’s name twice from the phone but it was useless.

“Damn that stupid brat!” The old man couldn’t help but curse.

When Jacob got to the hospital, he met the doctor standing outside like he was waiting for him.

“Doc” Jacob moved forward. “You called me after so long, how is the girl? Is she finally awake?” He asked.

“Yes she finally woke up but she is acting strange. She keeps repeating a word over and over so I called you over maybe you might understand her” the doctor replied.

Jacob sighed before going in. He met the girl sitting on the bed and curling herself like she was scared of everywhere.

“Miss” he moved closer and she faced him with her eyes widened.

“And move closer!” She pointed at him.

Jacob stopped moving.

“Listen, miss, I’m not going to hurt you, I’m on your side, I’m here to help you,” he said softly.

After some seconds, she finally put her hands down.

“I saw you in the middle of the road and I

wanted to know you were alone, covered in blood, what happened to you? Who hurt you?” He asked softly.

The girl held her head tight as the memories suddenly came back to her.

“It was him! He had been lying to everyone! He had been lying to everyone. He’s not what he seems, it’s him!” She said.

“It’s who? Who are you talking about?” Jacob asked.

“Blake Andrews” she replied.

Ivy smiled when she saw Patrick, Blake’s manager, coming to pick her up with his car.

“Miss, let’s go Blake is already waiting for you” Patrick smiled at her.

Ivy nodded and stepped into the car. She couldn’t wait to see the surprise that Blake had for her and somehow, she hoped he was going to propose to her. She believes she is ready to get married and committed to him.

Patrick finally stood at an incomplete building which made Ivy smile and slowly turned to a frown.

“Are you sure Blake is here” she looked confused.

“Don’t start judging a book by its cover miss. Blake is waiting to come in” Patrick smiled at her and Ivy slowly came down.

They began going up and Patrick slowly let out a smirk when they got to the rooftop.

Ivy’s worried face changed back to a smile when she got to the rooftop. It was decorated romantically, with lots of flowers and colored books and she could already see Blake backing her.

She smiled brightly but it slowly turned back to a frown when Blake faced her. He had a gun and he was pointing it to her face.

“Hello there my love” he smiled at her.
