Married At First Glance: I Am Not Ugly

Anderson Questions

Meanwhile after Alexander drove off, he realized what he had just done.

“What the hell did I just do?” he asked himself while in the car going home.

“Were you talking to me sir?” his driver asked him.

“No, I was talking to myself. Just focus on where you’re going.” Alexander said.

Did he just ask a random girl to be his wife on paper for three months? He couldn’t believe he could stoop so low to do such a thing.

As Alexander’s car continued its journey, he couldn’t shake off the feeling of disbelief and uncertainty.

What had possessed him to make such an outrageous proposal? It was unlike him to involve himself in such bizarre arrangements.

He had always been a man of few words and strong convictions, but this situation had thrown him off balance.

His thoughts were interrupted by a call on his phone. It was Jessie, his girlfriend. He answered with a sigh.

“Hey, babe,” Jessie’s cheerful voice came through the speaker. “I just wanted to check in. How was your day?”

Alexander hesitated for a moment. He couldn’t bring himself to tell Jessie about the impulsive decision he had made earlier.

Instead, he replied, “It was fine, just a bit busy. How about you?”

As he continued to chat with Jessie, guilt gnawed at him.

He knew he was keeping a big secret from her, and he couldn’t help but wonder how long he could keep up the facade.

As he returned to his apartment that night, he went to take a glass of wine and opened it.

He thought about the conversation he had with Marissa and realized that no one had the nerves to talk to him that way, but Marissa didn’t give a damn about his status or what he owned, but just said words to him back.

He sipped his drink.

“What a weird girl.” he said to himself. “She’s got some nerves, talking to me like that.”

But he had no choice. He needs that contract and he doesn’t care if she is annoying him as long as they both get what they want, everybody is happy.

Alexander sat in his fancy mansion, thinking about the strange situation. He felt Marissa was very different from anyone he had met before.

He took another sip of his wine, feeling its warmth. Even though Marissa had annoyed him at first, he found her confidence interesting.

As he leaned back in his chair, he thought about how this unique situation might turn out and how it could affect them.

But for now, he decided to enjoy his wine and the excitement of the unexpected event.

He decided to call his lawyer.

“Hello, Mr. Anderson,” Alexander greeted his lawyer when the call was answered.

“Good evening, Mr. Shim. How can I assist you today?” Mr. Anderson replied.

Alexander went straight to the point. ”

I need you to prepare a contract for a short-term marriage.”

There was a brief pause on the line before Mr. Anderson responded, “I see. Could you provide me with more details about this arrangement?”

Alexander hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much he should reveal.

“It’s a three-month paper marriage for a specific purpose. I need the contract to be airtight and discreet.”

Mr. Anderson was a seasoned lawyer who had handled countless unconventional cases, so he didn’t press for further details.

“I understand, Mr. Shim. I will draft the contract accordingly. When would you like to meet to discuss the specifics?”

Alexander thought for a moment. “Let’s meet tomorrow at my office. I’ll have my assistant schedule the appointment and send you the details.”Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“Very well, Mr. Shim. I will be ready,” Mr. Anderson confirmed.

The next day, Alexander’s assistant told him that the meeting with Mr. Anderson was set for the afternoon. He went to his modern office and got ready for the discussion.

When the time came, Mr. Anderson arrived at the office. They greeted each other, and then Mr. Anderson started talking about the contract.

“You wanted to see me about a contract agreement you wanted me to write down for you.” Mr. Anderson said.

“Yes, a marriage agreement. I told you about it yesterday when I called you.” Alexander said.

“Yes, you told me, but I thought that maybe I didn’t hear you correctly.” Anderson said.

“Well you heard me right. I need you to prepare a contract marriage agreement that would only last for three months and after that the contract is terminated.” Alexander said.

“And if I may ask…. who are you planning on doing this whole contract marriage thingy with?” he asked.

Alexander didn’t reply but just took a pen and wrote down Marissa’s name and handed it over to him.

“Just write the agreement and when you are done let me know.” Alexander said.

His lawyer looked at him with a surprising face.

“Uh… you know, I would need more details to be able to draft the agreement sir. So I need you to tell me everything.” Anderson said.

Alexander rolled his eyes and sighed since he knew that Anderson needed to know why he wanted to do a marriage agreement.

“Do you remember that deal I went all the way to Singapore to secure, the criteria for me qualifying to sign their agreement is that I have to be married,” he explained.

“Okay….” Anderson said.

“So why didn’t you talk with Jessie to marry you after all, you guys have been seeing each other for a while now, so I don’t see any reason why she won’t say yes to you.”

“Well….. that’s the thing. You know how ambitious Jessie is. She won’t do anything that would affect her career so she refused and told me to sort it out my way and so this was the only option I had.”

“And how did you meet this girl?” Anderson asked.

Alexander frowned, finding it annoying to discuss his personal matters with Mr. Anderson. He cleared his throat and said,

“I met her when my driver almost hit her with our car.”
