Amelia’s anger surged uncontrollably at the sight of Elena being still.

“Why are you just standing there? Hurry up!”

“Mom, I’m doing this for you. You want to go abroad, don’t you? Dad’s company has completely halted. If we return these pieces of jewelry, how can I take you abroad?” Elena sobbed.

As she spoke, she even started crying. Amelia’s anger softened instantly upon hearing Elena’s concern for

If they really handed them over, they would have nothing left and would become destitute. Amelia then

looked worried.

“But Mr. Rivera is here on behalf of the Millers. What can we do?”

Elena’s eyes flashed with determination.

“I have a plan, Mom.”

“What plan?” Amelia asked in confusion.

Ryan had abruptly visited their house to reclaim those pieces of jewelry. Amelia wondered how Elena suddenly had a good plan. After all, Elena hadn’t said a word about it earlier.

Elena remained silent. She went directly to a nearby cabinet and extracted two jewelry boxes. She opened them before Amelia.

At the sight of identical jewelry in both boxes, Amelia looked at Elena in shock.

“What is this?”

Elena explained, “The pieces of jewelry in this box are custom replicas I made a week ago. They look just

like the real ones.”

She had begun preparing for this situation when the Miller family’s attitude changed, back when they first mentioned taking back the iterns they had given her.

It was just that seeing Ryan personally come over earlier had made her uncertain.

Amella stepped forward and picked up the jewelry from the two boxes to inspect it. It was indeed identical.

“They look exactly like the real ones.”

“We’ll return this box to the Millers. Mom, you need to book the earliest flight out of Klago City.

“Alright. Let’s pack quickly and get ready.”

Elena and Amelia hoped that they would already be at the airport by the time Ryan returned to the Miller residence. Once they were on the plane leaving Klage City, it would be too late, even if their deception was uncovered.

Elena felt a surge of relief when Amelia agreed. She nodded happily.

“Let’s pack up first!”

She hadn’t originally intended to go with Amelia, but things had reached a point where she could only take the latter with her.

The duo quickly packed their belongings and secured their flight tickets before heading downstairs to dismiss Ryan.

However, they were met with an unexpected sight when they went downstairs. Ryan was now accompanied by an elderly man carrying a box, who wore glasses and had a shrewd look about him.

They didn’t know who this new person was. Elena placed the jewelry box next to Ryan while Amelia handed him the list.
