Love's Redemption

Chapter 889

“I'm aiming to go big, to create a nationwide chain-not just fooling around," Keira was about to share her grand vision with Lena when the doorbell rang.novelbin

She walked toward the door, still holding the phone, and glanced at the monitor to see who it was. The sight made her pause.

"Someone's here. I'll call you back," Keira said to Lena.

"Who is it?" she asked, curious.

"It's Kylian!"

Lena immediately recognized the name. "Is he here to see Hayden?"

"Hayden isn't home.'

After a brief pause, Lena speculated, "Then he's probably here for you."

"That's what I think too," Keira replied. "Call me in a bit. If I don't answer, assume he's killed me and report it to the police."

Lena laughed. "Pregnancy brain strikes again. If you're that worried, why not call the police now and save yourself?"

Keira chuckled. “No, I'll report this to Hayden first."

After hanging up, Keira sent Hayden a snapshot from the surveillance feed before opening the door.

"Mr. Hart," Keira greeted him.

"Sorry to drop by unannounced," Hayden said, his eyes subtly darting toward Keira's still- flat stomach. "Is Hayden home?"

"If he were, you wouldn't have come," Keira replied bluntly, cutting through his pretense.

"Heh." Kylian didn't get offended-he had the thick-skinned resilience of a rubber doll.

"Well, he's not the easiest person to talk to, you know. When he gets serious, even as his older brother, I can't get a word in edgewise," Kylian joked, his demeanor casual, devoid of the airs typical of a wealthy heir.

Though Keira had seen him play the role of a polished gentleman before, he could wear that mask convincingly when it suited him.

"Come in and have a seat. Would you like some water?" Keira asked politely.

"I'd love some water, but tea would be even better if you don't mind," he replied, completely at ease, as if he were visiting an old friend. Chapter 889

As Keira prepared the tea, Kylian took the opportunity to glance around the house. "This is your place, right?"

"Yes," Keira replied, bringing the tea to him.

He accepted it with both hands. "Thank you,'

"This layout is nice, but it's not ideal for a married couple," he commented after a sip of tea. "Keira, you're Hayden's wife, so we're family. I hope you don't mind me speaking frankly."

"Mr. Hart, you're into feng shui?" Keira asked, catching on to the direction of his remarks. “I have a bit of interest in it and even studied under a master for a while," Kylian said, gesturing toward her bedroom. "For instance, your master bedroom faces the southwest- it's what we call the Fire Door. Living here long-term could lead to disharmony between a couple, causing frequent arguments. It's also unfavorable for the woman's career."

Keira nodded, pretending to take his words seriously.

“And your kitchen is in the northwest. That's the Fire Burning Heaven Gate, which hinders the man's career development. Not to mention the bathroom..."

He went on and on, essentially declaring her home uninhabitable.

Keira listened patiently, but she wasn't one to take such things to heart. A home's comfort mattered more to her than rigidly following ancient rules.

"Based on what you're saying, I need to find a new place to live. Got any

recommendations?" Keira teased.

Kylian laughed. "Don't get me wrong, Keira. I'm not here to sell real estate."

His words reminded her that he owned a real estate company.

"You and Hayden should return to the Hart family estate. There are plenty of properties there, all designed to bring prosperity, harmony, and blessings for future generations," he finally revealed the real reason for his visit, smiling as he spoke.
