Chapter 93
Chapter 93
She lunged at Acella, her hands balled into fists, ready to engage in a fight she knew she couldn’t win. But before her rage could fully materialize, a group of guards, loyal to the Blackwood family, descended upon her.
Their presence was swift and brutal, overpowering Nadia with ease. Blow after blow rained down upon her, the force of their punches fuelled by Acella’s malicious laughter echoing in the background. The once–confident and seductive Nadia was reduced to a battered and broken soul, her dreams shattered, her dignity torn apart.
As the guards finally released their grip. Nadia lay crumpled on the ground, a pool of blood forming around her bruised and battered body. The weight of disgrace and defeat settled upon her, the reality of her actions and the consequences they had brought sinking in with painful clarity.
With a final act of humiliation, the guards forcibly dragged Nadia towards the mansion’s grand entrance, flinging her out like a discarded rag. She landed in a heap on the cold, an unforgiving ground, her body throbbing with pain and her spirit crushed under the weight of Axiel’s rejection and Acella’s scorn.
Acella walked over to her “I don’t even know what you were thinking in your head, did you really think that you’ll be able to seduce my brother into making you the Luna? You are really pathetic! And you are a slut! He has a mate! She’s going to become Luna! And as for you, you are just someone that he slept with. Someone that he used to pass the time!” Acella said.
Nadia was shocked to have Acella talking to her like this. She always felt that Acella was a timid girl who she can trample on whenever she wants. But Acella has changed….she’s no longer as timid.
“I know that Axiel loves me! I’ll prove it to you some day” she said.
“You are being delusional Nadia! You know for a fact that he feels nothing for you! Nothing at all!” Acella said.
“How dare you” she screamed reaching out for Acella but the guards held her back.
Acella waved her off and went back inside.
Steve’s footsteps came to a halt as he stood outside Ciara’s door, his heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and trepidation. He took a deep breath, steeling himself for what lay ahead. With trembling fingers, he pressed the doorbell, the sound echoing through the quiet evening.
Moments later, the door swung open, revealing Ciara standing before him, her eyes brimming with a cocktail of emotions, pain, anger, and a hint of lingering affection. Her voice held a cool edge as she spoke, her words cutting through the air like shards of glass.
“What do you want, Steve? I thought we were done, that I was finally free from your endless cycle of promises and betrayal”
Steve’s gaze met Ciara’s, his eyes filled with remorse and a desperate longing for redemption. He reached out, his voice filled with sincerity. “Ciara, please listen to me. I know I’ve hurt you in the past, but I’ve come to realize the gravity of my mistakes. I’ve always loved you, and I want nothing more than to make things right.”
Ciara’s defenses remained steadfast as she took a step back, her voice tinged with a mix of caution and disbelief. “You expect me to believe that, after everything we’ve been through? I can’t keep putting my heart on the line for someone who continually breaks it”
Steve’s voice cracked with raw emotion as he pleaded, “I understand your hesitation, Ciara. I truly do. But I’ve changed, and “I’m willing to do whatever it takes to earn back your trust. I don’t want to live a life without you.”
Ciara’s eyes flickered with a glimmer of vulnerability, but she quickly composed herself, her tone firm. “You had your chances, Steve, and you squandered them. I won’t allow myself to be dragged back into the same old pattern of heartache
and disappointment. It’s time for both of us to move on.
Steve’s voice quivered with a mix of desperation and sincerity as he poured his heart out to Ciara. “Ciara, please listen to me. I know I’ve hurt you in the past, and I can’t change that. But I want you to know that I’ve done some serious repentance, and I’ve realized the depth of my mistakes. I’ve grown, I’ve changed, and I’m not the same person who let you down.
Ciara’s gaze wavered, torn between her lingering love for Steve and the scars he had left behind. Her voice, though tinged with sadness, held a firm resolve. “Steve, it’s not about whether you’ve changed or not. It’s about the trust that was shattered, the promises that were broken. How can I be sure that history won’t repeat itself?”
Steve’s eyes brimmed with sincerity as he pleaded, “I can’t guarantee a flawless future, Ciara. But I can promise you my unwavering commitment to making things right. I’m willing to do whatever it takes, to prove to you my mistakes and that I’m ready to build a stronger foundation for us.”

Ciara’s defenses remained intact, her voice laced with a mixture of pain and determination. “You say you’ve changed, Steve, but actions speak louder than words. I need more than just promises. I need to see consistency, honesty, and a effort to repair the damage that’s been done.”

Steve’s expression softened as he reached out, a flicker of hope in his eyes. “Ciara, I understand your hesitation and the need for proof. Give me a chance to show you that I’m not the person who hurt you. Let me prove that our love is worth fighting for.
Ciara’s gaze softened, her voice laced with a hint of vulnerability. “Steve, I still care about you deeply, but I can’t ignore the pain I’ve endured. It will take time, patience, and a genuine effort from both of us to rebuild what was broken. I need to see consistent growth, and I need to know that we’re both willing to put in the work.”
Steve’s heart sank as he realized the weight of his past actions and the consequences it had on their relationship. He nodded, his voice laden with resignation. “I can’t force you to forgive me, Ciara. But please know that I am truly sorry for the pain I’ve caused.

Ciara’s gaze softened, a flicker of sadness crossing her features. “I hope you find the happiness you’re searching for. Steve. But it won’t be with me. I’ve learned to guard my heart, and I won’t allow it to be broken again.”
With a heavy heart, Steve nodded, his voice barely a whisper. “I understand, Ciara, I’ll respect your decision.”
And with that, Steven turned away, the weight of his past mistakes pressing heavily upon him. As he walked into the darkness, he carried with him a newfound determination, that is to face his demons, to grow and change, and to prove to himself and others that he was capable of love and redemption. The road ahead would be long and uncertain, but it was a journey he had to embark on, leaving behind the ghosts of his past as he sought a brighter future.
