Chapter 47: Actual Combat Class

Glen's POV

I enter the room while panting and I immediately try to find a chair and when I saw one, I immediately

run and went to sit on it.

I won't still have to be picky since you could already read that I am already late than never before.

I sigh in defeat while slumping into the vacant chair I saw.

"Damn what did I really get myself into now? Why are they getting worked up because I was just

carried by that guy? I didn't even ask that guy to carry me anyway" I ranted in annoyance while thinking

of those things that those people are saying and then I grip on my hair before I sigh in frustration again.

I then look up at the ceiling then I slap my face to wake myself up properly before looking in front.

"Okay then better focus on class first" I mumble to myself before I suddenly hear someone chuckling at

my side.

(Shit did someone saw me doing that?) I asked myself while I slowly look at my side and I was shocked

to see three pairs of eyes are looking at me making me immediately look away while back up a little bit

in shock.

It was Tobios along with his two other friends and they were all looking at me as the other guy spoke

and I blushed.

"I guess that was a good way to start class" the boy beside Tobios with a brown hair said while he was

smiling in amusement making me blush in embarrassment as I look away and panic in my head.

"Shit they really—wait maybe they just saw what I was doing and didn't hear me. Damn why is this

even happening to me" I complained to myself while I slowly glance back and then try to look at them if

they he didn't hear it and when I suddenly saw Tobios not glaring at me and was just looking at the

front again.

I sigh in relief before I slump back again on the table when I suddenly felt a strong arm slung on my

shoulders and I was a little bit startled and shocked that when I saw who was it I didn't push him

immediately or what but rather I was kind of confused and uncomfortable looking at him.

It was the boy that spoke a while ago making me glare at him when I regain my composure since his

hands is in my shoulders and I think that his arm is really heavy that I can't carry it for too long.

I glared at him and motion him to remove his arms and I was thankful that he immediately pulls his

hands away and raise them in the air in surrender.

"Opss... I didn't mean any harm I just want to be friends" he said and I sigh in confusion before I look at

him again and I saw him smiling nervously making me sigh in realization.

(Guess.... I need to have more friends then) I thought while looking at him and he was looking kind of

nervous before I give him a smile.

"Sure, my name is Glen by the way" I said to him and he was a little bit shock making me look at him in

confusion now since I think that he was a little bit frozen in place.

"Hey did something happen?" I asked in confusion while getting near him and he suddenly clear his

throat and looks away.

(Wait did he just get flustered?) I thought while I look at him in amusement.

"Getting shy are we" I teased and then he looked at me before suddenly someone cleared his throat

and we both look at who is the one and saw that it was Tobios with a pissed look.

"Andre.... My name is Andre and that guy over there who is stuck at his phone is Sky" Andre suddenly

said and I then look at the guy that he was pointing and he was just silent while looking at his phone in

boredom.

I just nod my head while trying to take in their names since I might have probably had forgotten them.

"Okay.... Now I know your names" I mumble and then suddenly Andre turns to look at Tobios and then

looks at me awkwardly.

"Then... uhm.. you should have probably know him already since both of you had been meeting with

each other time to time" he said nervously and I just chuckle before remembering the encounters that

we had been in.

"Yup... he is kind of popular here anyway" I said innocently while looking away and then that ends the

conversation since we are all then required to turn and look at Sir Tanner who looks serious in front.

"Okay then there is a change in the way how we start our class starting today" he said and suddenly

the class burst in whispers and protest since who knows what might we do... right.

"Sir what is it this time again" one started and the rest followed but I can't hear them properly though

since their cries are not loud enough for me to hear.

"Please don't tell me that it will be worse than lecture" another one near us protested so I heard his

protest.

I am kind of protesting also since the moment I started having class here it's all lecture and no actual

combat that is why I was so excited every time that we both fight with each other, with that guy.

I then glance at Tobios and he was looking in front and when he senses me looking, he looked at me

and then I look away immediately.

"That was close..." I mumble to myself while closing me eyes and then hear Sir Tanner now getting

mad.

"CLASS QUIET....." he shouted and everyone suddenly got startled and even me making me open my

eyes in surprise and look at him in nervousness just like the rest.

The whole class was in silence and now waiting for the next words that Sir Tanner will say to us.

"Okay... then that's more like it. Protesting already and not waiting for what will I say next is a little bit

annoying and making me angry" he said sounding serious and we all looked at him in guilt.

"Sorry" some said and I just mumble it also in shame since even though I didn't say it I was thinking

about it.

"It is still the same right" I mumble to myself.

Then we all looked at him seriously while fixing ourselves. He eyed all of us before looking up at our

side and I think that he was looking at us in particular or maybe just Tobios I say.

Sir Tanner then looks away and then walks to the center of the class and then looks at every one of us

before he continued.

"The lecture class will now be turned into an actual combat class—" he said and we were all in shock

not believing what did he just say.

"Did I hear it right" Andre said while looking at me while trying to confirm if he just heard it right or not

but I just look at him also in disbelief.

"I don't know, I'm also going to ask you if I heard it right too" I said since we both have the same

question in our head.

"Am I hearing it right"

"Yeah me too"

I hear the others say while still trying to figure out if they heard it right or Sir Tanner is just joking around

so we all look at him in disbelief but when we all saw him still having that serious face then as soon as

he sighs and everyone immediately roared in joy and excitement.

"I really can't believe it"

"FINALLYYYYYYYY"

"Damn.... I was really waiting for this"

"Damn I've been dying to already have this class"

The students shouted in joy and there I was also smiling like an idiot so I shouted too in joy as I look at

Sir Tanner and saw that he is a little bit smiling too.

"I guess he was looking for this kind of reaction from the start anyway" I mumble and as I was surprise

because he looks at me then he still smiled making me smile at him before he looks away and just

admire the class.

But suddenly I saw his smile vanished before he looks at the paper that he is holding making the

excitement in my system slowly fades and suddenly I feel that something is not right.

(Why did the school suddenly change that by the way?) I ask myself while getting curious about the

reason before I suddenly realize what is it.

(Don't tell me because of the--) suddenly someone was nudging my waist so I look at the person and it

Andre. He was looking at me while he was smiling happily.

(I guess he is happy since finally he will have an actual combat lesson and he might have been wanting

it judging by his reaction. It was also what I want but I didn't think that we would have it immediately in

this kind of way) I thought while I force myself to smile so that I won't spoil the fun for him.

"I guess you are also excited?" he asked and I just him a smirk.

"I've always been looking forward to the actual combat" I halfheartedly said to him thought there is still

a hint of confidence before I heard someone grunt beside us and I already know who that grunt came

from.

(This guy... who is the reason that I was attacked this morning by those damn idiots. I am still pissed at

him so I just ignored him anyway since I don't have any business with him) I ranted in my head as I

glare at him.

I then look back at Andre and talk to him since he is more approachable than this guy though still, I

really like that eyes of him and it might be the only thing that— sigh.

(I hate to admit it but if I don’t, you'll pester me to tell you what I like about him anyway. So, I will tell you

know. I like his eyes since the color of his eye is so cool. I haven't seen anyone who has the color of

mixture of purple and red because usually most are just pure color) I thought while I was suddenly lost

again in my world.

Immediately I snap back into reality when I hear someone clearing his throat and when I saw the owner

it was Andre again and I apologized at him.

"Sorry I just remembered something" I said apologetically and he shrug his shoulders.

"Sure, no problem" he said and I then try to remember what we were talking about.

"I was really bored with the lecture if you ask me by the way" I said honestly to Andre and he looks at

me in shock.

"Well I was also feeling bored and I tell you I have been pestering Sir Tanner that we should already

move to the actual class since lecture is so boring that I really can't learn unless I will try it" he said

proudly and I look at him in surprise.

"So, you are close with Sir Tanner then?" I ask him in amazement but he immediately looks away in

fear and I kind of pictured what he's been through.

"Sir Tanner punished him and he suffered" I hear the guy that he called by the name Sky said while still

looking at his phone.

I just smile at him and then nod my head acknowledging his presence but it was a little bit awkward I

say.

"Right" I mumble before I turn back to see Andre and he was feeling down making me chuckle and try

to comfort him by just putting my arms on his shoulders in comfort.

"I admire your courage; my brother says that he has a little bit terrifying attitude" I said to him and he

slump on his table in defeat and I just chuckle at him.

"You can't believe what I have been through" he said and started to tell me his experience and I was

chuckling the whole time that I am listening to him in protest.

(I guess they are not that bad at all) I thought while now getting close with this guy and probably he will

be a good friend if you really ask me.

Suddenly I feel that someone is looking at me and then I glance at my side and saw that Tobios was

looking at me—I mean my arm that is on Andre's shoulders and he suddenly looks at me.

(What is his problem anyway?) I thought while I frown at him but then I suddenly got caught by those

eyes again and I immediately look away and then look at Sir Tanner while I suddenly feel that I am

blushing red.

"Damn what has gotten into me now" I mumble to myself and I think Andre sensed it because he

looked at me with a worried face so I just smiled at him trying to reassure that I was fine.

I thanked that he didn't ask any more and then we just turn to look at Sir Tanner.

"Okay everyone you can pipe down now" he said and the class slowly went silent and wait for him to

continue what he is talking about.

"Since you all know about the incident that had happened inside the school the school board already

told us that the lecture classes now that is applied in fighting will now be turned into actual. So, as I

said a while ago this class now will proceed to actual combat" he said and suddenly the class was filled

in total silence.

I was suddenly got reminded of the incident that had happened back. The room is now a little bit heavy

since still the memory is fresh and even thought this class didn't got involved in that since it happened

on the building of the lower years but still the fear is evident.

We all never know when will another attack will come and the school will have to make everyone be

prepared since they have already realized that the enemy's targets are the students all along.
