The car stopped in front of Garage Cafe, and Clarissa went in.

Damien could see Rebecca through the window.

“Were you nearby? Why did you dress up?” That was the first thing that Rebecca said when she saw

Clarissa.

“My brother got engaged today, and the venue was nearby.” Rebecca took a sip of her coffee.

“Engagement? Was Joseph there?” Clarissa nodded. “Then did he and Damien…” “Nothing happened.

It was my brother’s engagement party, after all.” “Is your brother engaged to Emily?” Rebecca asked

again. “Yeah.”

“Emily knew Frank, Joseph’s dad. She used to like Joseph, but that was before Joseph’s scandal with

Nicole. To be honest, you did hurt Joseph badly, and you were the reason he decided to leave the

country, especially after you’ve collected the materials from him.” Rebecca took another sip of her

drink. “Great West will be handed to me soon.” “Really?” Clarissa was a little dour to know that. So he

Clarissa chuckled. “That’s true. What are you planning to do with Nicole?” Rebecca tilted her head as

she replied, “I can’t fire her, that’s for sure. I’ll give her a private room and make sure she’s isolated

from everyone else.”

Rebecca bore a vengeful expression as she said this. “Don’t overdo it,” Clarissa said. “Isn’t she madly

in love with Joseph? Why didn’t she follow him?

“Who’s she to follow him?” Rebecca snorted, throwing the question back to Clarissa.

Clarissa privately agreed. ‘Fair enough. She’s not Joseph’s girlfriend, and Joseph never promised her a

job.’
