Clarissa did not know if she should inform Damien. Truthfully, she didn’t know how he would react to

When Damien saw Clarissa’s text, he knew something was up.

“Come to my office now.”

“Okay.”

Clarissa went downstairs.

The assistant had ordered the food for Damien, and it was a feast.

Damien sat on the couch and greeted Clarissa. Then he asked, “Are they here?”

His question made her feel like he was always in control. How could he know everything?

“I guessed. Have you eaten?” he asked.

“Come here and eat with me.”

Clarissa went over and sat next to him in silence. She could sense the small hint of anger in his

silence.

The two of them remained silent for a long time, and the air between them was getting a little awkward.

Among the dishes he ordered was sweet corn soup, which tasted great. Clarissa liked it and kept

drinking it, but Damien didn’t

“It’s delicious,” Clarissa said, trying to break the silence.

“How good is it?” he asked.

“You should try,” Clarissa said, pointing to the sweet soup.

Damien did not drink the soup directly. Instead, he leaned towards Clarissa, tipped her chin, and kissed

her. His kiss lasted for a long time. After he released Clarissa, he said solemnly, “It’s delicious.”

Clarissa was stunned, and stayed still for a long time.

Damien stared at Clarissa’s dumbfounded look and asked, “It’s not delicious?”

“I-It’s good.” Clarissa finally returned to her senses. She was completely stunned by Damien’s

passionate kiss, having never expected it. He was so good at flirting, it made her forget her reason for

coming to his office.
