Chapter 390
The opening ceremony was over, and with it, Roseanne's graduate life had officially begun. Her schedule was packed, from nine in the morning until noon, almost every slot was filled.
Mamie almost arrived late on her first day, wearing flip-flops and shorts as if she had just rolled out of bed. Roseanne paused for a moment before reminding her, "...Mamie, did you forget to change your shoes?"
"Huh?" Mamie glanced down at her Crocs, "Nope, these are the ones. What about them?"
"You... came to class in flip-flops?"
"Yeah, what's the issue? Back home, it's all flip-flops and shorts during summer. I even got these Crocs to be a bit more formal."
Scales gave her a look and retorted, "Formal, really?"
Mamie defended, "How is it not formal?!"
Scales just shrugged, "Alright, as long as you're happy."
Mamie huffed, "You wouldn't get it."
Scales was speechless. He didn't really get it, indeed.
After class, the trio decided to grab lunch together.
During their conversation, Roseanne found out that neither of her friends lived on campus. Scales lived in his family's house, while Mamie had rented an apartment nearby, not far from where Roseanne stayed.
Mamie seemed to really like Roseanne. Being on the heavier side, Mamie often faced ridicule about her weight. It was rare for girls to approach her willingly, but Roseanne was an exception.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
Despite her stunning looks, which could seem intimidating at first, she was down-to-earth and never judged others based on appearances. "...Roseanne, I heard there's this diner near our school that's absolutely amazing. It's all over social media, super popular, and the best part? It's affordable. How about we try it out today...?" Mamie suggested, not finishing her sentence when suddenly, a bouquet of roses appeared out of nowhere.
To be precise, it appeared in front of Roseanne, making Mamie an unintentional bystander.
Murray, dressed sharply in a suit with the top buttons casually undone, showcasing his long, sleek legs, approached Roseanne, holding a bunch of yellow roses.
"Anne, it's been a while."
Catching the hint quickly, Mamie grabbed Scales and walked away.
"What are you doing?" Scales frowned.
"Can't you see someone's giving Roseanne flowers?"
"So what?"
"You wanna be a third wheel?"
Roseanne, facing Murray,

"Your favorite yellow roses, wishing you a smooth start to the semester."
He offered the flowers to her.
Roseanne, however, stepped back, maintaining a distance. "I don't want them."
He gave a bitter smile. "Can't I even say congratulations?"
"You can say it, but I won't accept the flowers."
Roseanne wasn't falling for his traps.
Murray asked, "Do we really have to be like this?"
Roseanne answered, "Aren't we already there?"
He was left speechless.
"Wow! Someone's getting flowers-"
"That guy's so handsome!"
"Who's the girl? Anyone knows her?"
"She seems new, could she be a new student?"
The school's entrance was bustling, and

"Hey, isn't that the older grad student?"
Sybil stopped in her tracks.
