Love At Last

Lily

I do have no idea if this would work but there’s only one way to find out

“Come on, just try it out. I think it’s a really good idea.” “If it doesn’t work, then we’ll try and figure out a better idea, okay?”

“Fine, won’t hurt to try it out anyway” I smiled.

“I’m gonna go back to work now, just let me know how it goes, alright?”

“Yea, sure” He smiled and leaned in for a hug. I was surprised but why not? I returned the hug. We were like that for almost a minute before I said;

“Okayyy, really gotta go now” Cayden laughed

“I’m sorry. Chat you later” He waved and went to where he parked his car. What a weird guy. I pray the idea works anyway.

Cayden

I opened the door and saw her in my shirt. I was so furious. Who gave her the right to take my shirt? And wear it as if it belonged to her? I decided to keep my cool anyway, I knew it was a trap. So I just smiled at her and she was pleased.

“Welcome back darling,” She said, twirling a strand of her hair around her index finger. That irritated me.

“Thank you,” I said as I walked in. I went straight to have my bath. I sat in the bathtub for a while to have a bit of privacy even if it was just for five minutes. The aroma of the food she was cooking filled my lungs; at least there’s one good thing to having her around.

I got dressed and went downstairs to watch TV.

“Come join me at the table Cayden, food is ready”

“Alright” I went to the dining area and sat there as she dished my food. “Thanks for the meal,” I said and she blushed as she placed my food right in front of me.

The food tasted really good. We were having mashed potatoes and the texture was right; not too thick or runny.

“The food tastes nice”

“Thank you, Cayden. Play your cards right and you’d get unlimited access to this all day long.” She boasted.

Well, I’m glad Lily is also a good cook. Why else would she have so many people buzzing out of her restaurant? Speaking of restaurants, I can always enter there and be served whatever I want at the best pastry and restaurant shop at Nedford!

“I have a surprise for you, by the way, you’d love it,” I told her and she was happy.

“Really?” She smiled sheepishly. If only she knew how much I wanted to throw her out of my house.

“Yea, I’d show you once we’re done eating”

“Okay” She hurriedly finished her food, almost choking

“Slow down girl”

“I’m sorry, just not had anyone surprise me in a very long time, I’m excited” She stood up, dropped her plate in the dishwasher and hurried off to get dressed. She’s not had a surprise and she’s forcing herself on me? Instead of her settling down and letting a guy love her for her. I felt sad for her.

She met me downstairs ten minutes later looking so peng. She had on cargo pants and a cropped body con top on boots. She packed her hair in a ponytail and wore shades, with a Dior bag hanging from her shoulders. Where the hell does she think we’re going to?Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

“Why are you overdressed? I didn’t say I was taking you out, I said I had a surprise” I stared at her

“You’ve got to always be ready for anything, you can’t be too sure.” I shook my head

“It’s alright” I picked up my keys “let’s go”

I took her for a drive around town. We saw different places, we went off down to a pond nearby to feed the ducks. I tried my best to have as much fun with her, prepping her for my surprise later. She knew some friends around and asked to see if they wanted to come to the beach with us.

Some of her friends said yes but others said no so we went down to the beach and had a swim and played on the beach. But something horrible happened the whole beach started to get flooded so much water was coming in so we had to run as fast as we could to get up high. Her friend could not run as fast as the rest of us so I ran back down and got her. We got up somewhere high just in time.

Her friend was so scared that we never went back to that beach again. Instead of going to the beach with friends, we go to the park so her friend doesn’t get scared of what happened that day. We all had fun going to the park but her friends looked like they were in so much shock and vowed to never come back again.

I got her back in the car and drove her to a motel not so far away. It was a cheap one, with no serious facilities or too many facilities. It was quiet too. I had already paid down for a room before coming.

I walked up to the receptionist and got the key card for the room while someone showed us the way there. I made it seem like I was booking the hotel for both of us.

“So, this is us. Get comfortable, we’ll be here for the night”

“You, that’s cool” Her mouth curved as she said it, and coming over to hug me, I quickly pulled away.

“Just freshen up, okay? Let me go get something for us for dinner”

“Okay,” She said and entered the bathroom.

I quickly sneaked away to my car and drove home. It felt so good. Finally, some privacy for the night. I ordered some pizza and had an amazing night’s rest with the house all to myself.

I woke up the next morning to the loud sound of the doorbell. Who could it be? It was so early. I went to get the door and there she was, her face red with anger. This was not good.
