Chapter 370
Let’s Star All Over Again, Shall We?
Chapter 370 Final Deadline.
Maggie wasted no time and followed Iris to a corner in the middle of the building where the pulse- checking station was set up.
Iris sat opposite her, and Maggie offered her wrist for Iris to check her pulse.
The room suddenly grew quiet; even the sounds of the wind and snow outside farled away, leaving only a faint warmth.
Iris took her time checking Maggie’s pulse while frowning in thought.
After a while, she stood up and said, “We’ll need to draw some more blood for additional tests; we won’t have results anytime soon.
“Alright. Maggie agreed without objection.
Before long, a young apprentice–like person guided Maggie to another room. Maggie bared her arm and turned her head away, unable to watch the blood–drawing process.
She could handle the pain, but witnessing it made her heart ache.
Though she didn’t look, Maggie could still hear the tubes being filled with blood until about six or seven were taken for testing. When the needle was finally removed, she let out a sigh of relief.
Turning her head, she noticed a large bruise on her arm.
Maggie was speechless at the sight.
She glanced at the apprentice–like girl, who shrunk back and said, “Your skin is too delicate, and the blood draw took too long, so…
Maggie couldn’t help but feel a headache. How would she hide this when she got back? One slip–up, and Nathael would find out.
Meanwhile, Iris was making her medical records. Seeing that the blood was drawn, she said, “We need to take a few images; follow me.”
Maggie followed her inside and saw that, despite the clinic’s small size, it had all the necessary equipment.
At least all the essential tests could be done.
After all the tests, it was already noon, and Iris said, “Some of the blood test results are ready, but we’ll have to wait for the rest. You can have your lunch first.”
At her words, Maggie felt a bit hungry.
Perhaps it was due to losing too thuch blood; she actually felt a bit dizzy.
“I’ve booked a nearby restaurant. Let’s go. Leo offered his support and said gently.
“Okay.”
“I’ll come with you. I came here and accompanied you for so long; it wouldn’t be right not to buy me

Maggie felt his audacity exceeded even Nathael’s.
“I think you’re just here for the show, you just want to watch how I’ll meet my end” Maggie jabbed, but when she noticed Timmothy and Samuel following along, she didn’t stop them.
She glanced at Timothy’s legs and noted that his injury had healed quickly.
It wasn’t surprising. With the Hudsons‘ medical background and someone like Samuel around, Timmothy
suffered a lot less.
“You’re quite cunning. I thought you were a good person at first, but I was wrong… “Timmothy said softly.
Maggie chuckled. “Can being a good person pay the bills? Or grant me two more years of life? Why don’t you try being a good person?”
Timmothy smiled and said nothing, then leisurely got into another car.
The restaurant Mia chose wasn’t far, but despite its proximity, it matched her usual grand and luxurious style.
“Where’d you and Leo go? How’d you end up in this neighbourhood?” Mia had already sorted out the food and glanced at the group as they approached, spotting an unfamiliar guy tagging along.
“Who’s that?” Mia inquired with interest, giving him a quick once–over.
The dude had a pale face, lacking colour, but he was tall and had a harmless appearance with a scholarly air. Yet, when Mia’s eyes met his, she felt a mix of emotions.
“He’s Timmothy Harris. He just came along for a free meal,” Maggie introduced.
Mia paused for a moment. Timmothy Harris?
Isn’t he the crazy guy who kidnapped Maggie? Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
“You’re Timmothy?” Mia couldn’t resist giving him another look.
“Yeah. Hi, Ms. Gatlin, Timmothy greeted, letting her examine him with an amused expression.
Mia almost rolled her eyes but held back. She wasn’t sure how he ended up joining them.
However, when the food arrived, Mia made sure to order plenty of extra spicy dishes for him.
“Maggie, where’d you and Leo go earlier?” Mia paid little attention to Timmothy.
“Oh, we went to visit a designer who lives nearby.
That was the excuse Maggie had prepared earlier, and Mia didn’t question it much. “Are you planning to go again this afternoon? Do you want to go shopping?”
“I can’t. We spent the morning discussing designs, but we forgot to talk about the contract, so we’ll need to go back this afternoon,” Maggie replied vaguely, making excuses while eating.
Mia narrowed her eyes. She sensed that something was off, but she didn’t dwell on it.
At 2:00 PM when Maggie and the others returned to the clinic the test results were already available

Because Iris had maintained a serious expression the whole time, Maggie didn’t realise how serious the situation was
Iris sat at the table, a stack of Maggie’s test reports in front of her, and surprisingly, she didn’t speake immediately.
After some thought, she looked at Maggie and said. “Ms. Adam, your condition is a bit complicated
7 know. Mr. Hudson already warned me about the worst–case scenario, Maggie replied slowly.
Iris shook her head. “That’s not the worst.
Maggie
e was momentarily speechless, unable to fathom how things could worsen.
“Let’s talk about the Dream Venom first. As my brother was diagnosed earlier, you’ve been poisoned for some years now. Considering the toxin’s progression, I doubt you’ll last six years. In about two years, you’ll likely start experiencing intense pain.”
Maggie nodded, refraining from interrupting.
“The Dream Venom is challenging to treat, but if you’re willing to try, I can attempt it. However, the process won’t be pleasant.”
“How had will it be?” Maggie asked softly.
“I recommend using silver needles and medication to gradually purge the accumulated toxins from your body. However, this will inevitably trigger the poison, causing its early onset. You’ll endure intense pain prematurely, and the process is excruciating. If you give up, your efforts will be futile, and it’ll prompt the toxin to act sooner. In other words, you won’t live past six years.
Iris’s tone was cold, her gaze fixed on Maggie.
Maggie nodded and refrained from interrupting, but she couldn’t help but wonder how agonising it would be Will it surpass the pain I felt when Sierra gouged my eyes out and ruined my face?
Will it surpass Nathael’s pain when his arm got blasted off or when he lost his finger?
“To simplify, the toxin in your body right now is like a dormant beast, and administering the treatment will awaken this fierce creature, causing harm and posing a threat.”
Iris was a skilled doctor, and Maggie easily grasped her meaning
“I’m willing to try,” Maggie said softly.
Iris nodded, adding. “It’s best that you do because I’ve discovered another toxin in your body. Even if you don’t undergo treatment, this toxin will trigger the Dream Venom. In a nutshell, you’ll be dead within two
years.
