Kill Me, Heal Me

Chapter 66: Weird Levi

Chapter 66: Weird Levi

Belle Ye always thought that it was a miracle for her to survive till now.

Perhaps it was Ryan protecting her in heaven.

He once said that even if he died and turned into withered bones and ashes, his soul would accompany her now and forever, they would never be apart.

So, she had to hung in there, until all of her wishes and obsessions are fulfilled. She could make her farewell with this colorful but ruthless world by then.

Echo Xu was in great remorse. She warned herself several times of staying away from others’ business, but this time she went deep into whys and wherefores of Belle. After Belle gave up and told her everything, Echo started to regret. She would rather she never knew any of that.

Otherwise, once she started thinking about this, she couldn’t help feeling pity for this woman, and couldn’t help feeling resentment to the boss for being so cruel and merciless.

“Sister Xu, I will take your silence as a yes. If you have any information about the orphan, please tell me.”

“Just go, don’t bother me anymore!”

Echo drove Belle out of her office with bad attitude and could not find calm for herself. She had never met Belle before, why would she bother to worry about her anyway?

Belle herself was calmer than she was.

No one would ever know if Belle’s request worked that day. But in the next few days, Belle had more work on her hand all of a sudden. Mr. Steven from Russia, in particular, took his business friends to

socialize almost every single day. He needed to be held in Gang City for a period of time. And Belle, who was not very good-looking, surprisingly became their translator for the time being.

Although Mr. Steven had a translator originally.

Gang City is an international metropolis, which is very prosperous and luxurious. In such a fast-paced and high-developed City, even nightclubs are filled with mostly intellectuals with highly educated backgrounds. Belle’s skill of multilingual was of little use in such place.

Almost everyone could speak English. For other rare language types, most of the guests had translators with them. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

Echo racked her wits about Belle’s work, and finally found a suitable job for Belle. Echo pushed Belle into boxes as long as she had the chance. Almost all the guests are foreigners, and it doesn’t matter if they already had a translator. What if it was like last time, the translator left halfway?

This worked perfectly.

There were lots of foreign guests in the Underground City, some of them were with pure business purpose, and some of them were just for fun. These guests would not bring a translator every time, and this gave Belle the opportunity of working. If there were foreigners in the private box, Echo would push her to go in. Whether to be a servant or just standing there being a sculpture, there’s money to make anyway.

When Levi Song arrived at the Underground City and guided to Belle by a waiter, Belle was talking to a Caucasian with brown hair. After walking near them, he realized that they were talking in Portuguese

She turned her face sideway, looked conscientiously. Her bangs covered her forehead and half of her eyes, her bight eyes were indistinct. She looked at the other person from time to time, and translated

the sentences to Kikongo. Belle’s voice was dull, with the feeling of breaking. But this did not affect her articulation and pronunciation.

He was stunned.

Levi hadn’t come to Underground City for a while. One was because he was too busy with the business of his company. The other was, after hearing what Belle said last time, he forced himself not to be here. Without seeing her, he thought he could treat her as a stranger.

Levi was just a little gloomy that night, when he drove past here, and suddenly stopped by the door out of nowhere. He rushed to the counter and asked whereabouts of Belle, With the puzzled and curious sight of the waiter, he went straight to the private room where Belle was in.

The lights in the room were on, inside there were brilliant lights, dazzling. He saw Belle at single glance, a thin figure bathed in the resplendent light.

Comparing with last time he saw Belle, she was so different. For an instant, Levi seemed like looking at Belle from many years ago. The girl who followed Nathan Luo all the time, always smiling, and was always surrounded by brightness and love.

At that time, her name was Ye Luo. Nathan called her Leafy all the time. But Levi used to call her Ye.

While Belle walking out of the room, she was surprised to see Levi stood by the door, staring somewhere blankly. She didn’t expect to see him in Underground City. She felt a little embarrassed and tried to avoid him. But Levi had already noticed her.

They looked into each other’s eyes, unexpectedly calm.

“Le… Mr. Song.” She hesitated and said hello, which was very awkward. She remembered what she said to Levi in the hotel last time, she thought that he would definitely put her in the blacklist and never

see her again.

Levi nodded, smiled with embarrassment, “I was just passing by, and saw you by coincidence. It’s late, do you want to have some snack together?”

Ah?

Levi said that naturally, but Belle was taken by surprise. She was avoiding his sight, her expression flashed flurried with self-abased and helpless.

“It’s fine, I am not hungry.” Belle said.

“Just come with me, I am hungry.” Levi walked towards her, held her wrist naturally. Belle was surprised and tried to avoid. She tried hard to pull back her arm but Levi’s strength was much stronger than her. She was tightly hooped. Levi didn't give her any chance to refuse and led her to the door.

This scene surprised countless people in the nightclub.

“Mr. Song, please let go of me. I can walk by myself.” Incapable of pulling back her hand, Belle had to change her strategies, softened her voice to persuade him.

“It is a good night. Do you want Japanese or French Cuisine?”

“Mr. Song, I will get angry if you don’t let go.”

“I recall that a Thai Cuisine recently opened is great too.”

Belle was flushed by anger, “Mr. Song, I still have job to do later today, please let go of me first.”

“I’ve decided, tonight we will have Cuisine from south of China. I like food from south the best. It’s refreshing and delicious.” Levi opened the door of his car, pushed rattled Belle inside, whistling back to

the driver's seat, happily stepped on the accelerator.

Twenty minutes later, two people sat beside a shaved-noodle stall by the street side, looked at each other, speechlessly.

“Come on, shaved noodles are great too! Do you want it with beef or bacon? With or without green onions and celery?” Levi talked to her with passion, turned around and told the shopkeeper, “Two bowls of shaved noodle, with beef, and with more green onions, celery and coriander. But without garlics!”

“Sure, in a minute!” The shopkeeper responded with a loud voice.

After ordering, Levi said to Belle, who was sitting there as silent as a wall, “You must not think me as a stingy man, treating you to a bowl of noodles. I just thought of this shop all of a sudden. The shopkeeper’s craftsmanship is really good. I'll make sure that once you eat it, you will think of coming again next time.”

Levi talked too much nonsense that night.

Belle sighed, she wondered what Levi was trying to do, “Mr. Song, I’m not hungry.”

“You are so skinny. Your wrist is as thin as a child. You need to eat more, or you will become all skins and bones.”
