Jojo and Coco's Unexpected Love

Chapter 791 He Needs to Learn the Hard Way

Chapter 791 He Needs to Learn the Hard Way

Chloe shrugged and said, "For now, we can't say for certain if she's Xavia's daughter, but the odds are pretty high."

As for whether it was a second marriage, she believed that Eustace should know that better than anyone else. In any case, her first marriage was definitely not to Joseph.

"Bullshit. Look at the kid. She's a splitting image of Xavia. Anyone with eyes could tell that!"

Ophelia’s fury grew the more she thought about it. She snatched Chloe's phone and said, "I can't wait anymore. I have to reveal Xavia's true colors to Ken."

Chloe was taken aback by Ophelia's sudden actions. By the time she realized what had happened, Ophelia had already disappeared from sight. Her brows furrowed, but she soon relaxed as a thought crossed her mind.

Meanwhile, Ophelia led Kenneth into a room. She showed him the photos on Chloe's phone and said, "Take a good look. That’s the daughter of your beloved Vee. You didn't know about it, did you?"

Kenneth took a good look at the photos. The girl did resemble Xavia and he recalled the strange expression on Eustace's face from back then.

"What does this mean?"

Placing her hands on her hips, Ophelia said mockingly, "It means what it means. Xavia isn't as innocent as she appears. Don't fall for her deception. She's bedded so many men, and Joseph is just one of them. She's a slut, and only an honest man like you would fall for her act."

"Leah."

"What?" Ophelia raised her head and was stunned when she saw Kenneth's furious gaze.

"Vee is carrying my child. From now on, she'll be a part of our family, your sister-in-law. I hope you will show her some respect instead of causing her trouble. I'm thoroughly disappointed in you. Also, this is Chloe's phone, right? Are you sure you can trust everything she says?"

Ophelia opened her mouth and a hint of sadness crept into her eyes, "Ken, I'm your family. Why are you raising your voice at me?" All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

"You are my family, and so is Vee. Stop pushing me, Leah."

With that, Kenneth slammed the phone onto the table and strode out of the room. Ophelia stared dazedly after Kenneth, injustice overwhelming her. As she cried, her resentment toward Xavia grew.

Half an hour later, as Chloe finished off a bowl of cherries and a glass of lemon juice, Ophelia returned with her head hung low.

"Your phone."

Chloe looked up and asked teasingly, "So, what happened?"

Ophelia slumped onto the sofa, too tired to argue with Chloe right now. Sighing in resignation, she said, "Perhaps you're right. The enemy of my enemy is my friend." In light of her brother's stubbornness, it was clear that he needed to learn the hard way,

"All right then, let's proceed with the plan. You just need to convince your mother and inform your father about the plan so that he’ll cooperate."

"Are you sure my father will agree to this?"

Most older people loved little children. There was a chance that Callum would behave as Carolina had after learning that Xavia was pregnant.

"Don't worry. He will," Chloe replied calmly.

Whether or not Callum's elevation from a common man to a noble had anything to do with Carolina's helping hand, one thing was clear—Callum was no fool.

Ophelia shared the plan with Callum that night, who had no objections and readily agreed to it. In less than a week, with Ophelia's assistance, Kenneth brought Xavia to the palace to live with him, marking her first steps into the realm of the royal family.

Meanwhile, Chloe and Noah's wedding was just around the corner.

At the same time, something happened. Vanya was not recovering as fast as they had expected. Growing anxious, Chloe turned to Zoelle and asked, "Can't we increase the dosage of Vanya’s medication?"

Zoelle rubbed her chin and contemplated for a while before saying, "It's not entirely impossible. I'll give it a try."

"Coco, these matters are beyond our expertise. Let Zoelle make the decision," Noah interjected, his gaze intent as he locked eyes with her. "Are you that desperate for Vanya to recover?"

"Yes. I want to know where my child is," Chloe replied readily.

"I can take you to see her now. Her condition has improved quite a bit, and you can ask her your questions," he offered.

Upon hearing this, the alarm in Chloe's mind rang. Vanya might not tell her the truth and work with Noah to mislead her. Once that happened, he would deem Vanya useless and might get rid of her.

Chloe scolded herself inwardly for acting rashly, but then an idea struck her.

'Joseph! I can ask for Joseph's help!'
