Jojo and Coco's Unexpected Love

Chapter 735 I Won’t Find a Wife Like My Dad!

Chapter 735 I Won’t Find a Wife Like My Dad!

Desire was clearly written all over Joseph's eyes. After a moment of internal struggle, he finally pulled Chloe's hand away and said in a hoarse voice, "Stop touching me and go to sleep."

Chloe's eyebrows furrowed slightly. She seemed dissatisfied, but she stopped pestering him.

Just when Joseph was about to leave, a bra landed on him. It was white and carried a faint fragrance. He glanced sideways and noticed that the blanket Chloe had covered herself with had fallen onto the carpet. Her fair and smooth skin under the dim light presented a fatal temptation. In the next moment, Joseph strode to the door and slammed it shut.

The night was dark, and the atmosphere in the room was electrifying. He seemed skilled in this task. Even though he had not done it in five years, he was still able to control the pace and led Chloe into the spiral of desire.

Chloe had no idea what had happened during the night. All she knew was that when she woke up in the morning, her throat was hoarse and her body bore many love bites. Taking a deep breath, she glared angrily at the half-naked man before her.

"You set me up? How could you be so shameless?"

"It wasn't me," Joseph replied slovenly. He looked satisfied.

"Bullshit! I know it was you!"

"Then tell me, how did I set you up?"

"How would I know?"

"Has it never crossed your mind that there was something wrong with the orange juice you drank?"

"What?"

"Think carefully. Did you drink anything else besides that glass of orange juice?" Joseph asked before putting on a bathrobe and walking into the bathroom.

Joseph had presented the truth before her, but Chloe refused to believe it. After all, Jasper was still a kid. There was no way he was capable of such a sordid plan. After getting dressed, she took out thirty dollars and threw it on the bed. She wanted him to know that he was just her booty call, not someone she slept with out of genuine feelings.

When she was leaving, Jasper stopped her. She looked at him coldly and asked, "What do you want?"

Jasper blinked and said slowly, "I'm sorry, Ms. Chloe. I can explain what happened last night."

"No need. I don't want to hear it."

"Please, you have to listen!" Jasper held her hand, looking at her with remorse as he said, "It has nothing to do with Daddy. It was all my idea. I gave him that glass of orange juice. I didn't expect you to—

Chloe interrupted, "Stop making up stories. This is all a planned act between you and your father, isn’t it?"

"I swear that if I'm lying, I'll never find a wife like Daddy!" Jasper swore earnestly as he raised his hand.

She looked at him expressionlessly. "Only an idiot would believe you."

Like father, like son. She should not have lowered her guard against Jasper just because he was a kid.

Chloe left the Whitman family home and went to the roadside to flag down a cab. She pulled out her phone to check it and was shocked. Noah had called her almost every ten minutes last night. He even continued calling up until an hour ago. She chided herself for forgetting to inform Noah last night. She knew that he must have been worried sick, thinking that something bad had happened to her throughout the night.

Noah called again, but at the same time, a cab arrived. In a hurry, Chloe hailed it and got in. At this point, her phone battery was running low and she had given all her cash to Joseph. She was worried that she would not be able to pay the driver if her phone died, so she did not answer the call and decided to explain everything to Noah in person when she got back instead.

Little did she know that Noah was nearby. He not only saw her leaving the Whitman family home but also spotted her hanging up his call.
