Chapter 237 Camel Steps Up
Chapter 237 Camel Steps Up
Tom had made an incredibly forceful entrance by crashing a car straight into the banquet hall. The
scene caught everyone off guard.
Everyone of the Zouch family was huddled up in fear. This was the first time they’d seen Tom, and
they’d only known that the head of the Maguires was here from the way the guests were talking.
Baron had seen Tom just last night, so he recognized him. Besides, Camel had just told him that the
Maguires were on their way for revenge, so he wasn’t surprised in the slightest.
“Mr. Maguire, sir, what – what are you doing here?”
Ryan walked up hurriedly, stuttering.
“Piss off!”
One of Tom’s bodyguards slapped Ryan across the face.
Mouth bloody, Ryan slumped off to the side.
Everyone around was in a state of terror, especially the Zouches.
Today was a grand occasion for the Zouch family, but Tom was showing up personally. Looked like he
had ill intentions.
As far as it went in Kato, the Zouch family didn’t even count as a bottom-rung clan. The most they
amounted to was a large country household.
While the Maguires were part of the two top families of Kato.
It could be said that one was high-end society while the other was salt-of-the-earth. Two families with
nothing to do with each other, but now Tom was showing up personally. It was certainly very strange.
Ryan was having a bad day. Camel had come and told him to piss off, now Tom had come and did the
same thing, and his bodyguard had given him a slap to boot.
Many people looked sympathetically at Ryan.
“Where’s Baron? Get the hell out here!”
Tom walked to the center of the hall, and a bodyguard dragged a chair over.
Hearing Tom’s words, everyone realized that he was here for Baron.
Ryan felt a surge of resentment. If he’d known the man was here for Baron, he wouldn’t have drawn
attention to himself.
“Honey!”
Tracy tugged at Baron’s sleeve nervously.
Baron smiled. “Don’t forget what I said yesterday. If the Maguire family really does make a scene, I’ll
exterminate them from Kato after today!”
In the silence of the banquet hall, Baron’s authoritative voice was clearly heard by everyone in the
room.
Everyone widened their eyes as they gazed at him.
Tom, too, finally saw Baron, and his face sank. In his eyes, Baron’s statement had been arrogant to the
extreme.
Baron gazed sharply at Tom and mocked, “Weren’t you just apologizing to me last night, Mr. Maguire?
What are you here for today?”
Last night, Martin and Tom had appeared at once, and Baron had broken Todd’s arm, shocking
everyone and retrieving Tracy safely.
It had just been one night. Now Tom was showing up at the wedding to look for him.
If Camel hadn’t let him in on it just then, Baron wouldn’t have expected such a scene.
“He says that Tom apologized to him last night?”
“How’s that possible? He’s the head of the Maguire family!”
“If not, why would he dare to talk like that in front of Tom?”
…
Everyone was shocked. Baron’s words were stunning.
If he hadn’t thoroughly investigated Baron’s background, just from Baron’s calmness alone right now,
Tom wouldn’t have had the nerve to deal with him.
“Don’t bullshit me, punk. I’ll ask you this – did you have anything to do with the death of my grandson
Paris?”
Tom’s eyes were bloodshot as he glared at Baron murderously.
“You’d better watch your mouth, Mr. Maguire!”
Camel stood up, his tone dark.
Tom had found Camel there. Although he’d wondered why he was next to Baron, he’d come here to
deal with Baron, so he’d ignored Camel.
Camel standing up here and now was out of his expectations. Eyes burning, Tom said through gnashed
teeth, “Are you interfering with the business of the Maguire family, Mr. Ellis?”
“Mr. Owen’s business is my business. If you’re really going after Mr. Owen, you’d best consider
carefully!” Camel said coldly.
“You’re just the general manager for Kato Prosperity, you really think you’re a chairman? That you’re
qualified to threaten me?”
Tom slammed the table and stood.
“No matter who I am, since the chairman has passed me authority over Kato Prosperity, what I say
goes in this city! Lay one finger on Mr. Owen, and I’ll collapse the Maguire family!”
Camel said calmly. “You Maguires had better not provoke me. You should know full well how easy it’d
be for Kato Prosperity to crush your family!”
Tom’s pupils shrank. He hadn’t thought that Camel would be on Baron’s side, or that Camel would have
the nerve to threaten him using Kato Prosperity.
Everyone around wore dull expressions. This fight was on the level of gods.
One was the head of Kato’s top family of Kato. The other was responsible for Kato’s peak enterprise.
If it came down to experience, Camel couldn’t match Tom, but as for wealth, the Maguires were not on
the same level as Kato Prosperity.
If the two powers really fought, they’d both end up worse off.
“Somebody tell me what’s going on?”
Richard said, dazed.
This had been a celebratory day for the Zouches, so why were two peak powers here?
Looking at the scene, these two powers seemed to be fighting over Baron.
At this hour, the wedding was about to start. But the atmosphere right now was not the sort of
commotion you wanted for a wedding. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
Everyone in the Zouch family trembled.
Marry, standing at the side, started panicking, struggle in her eyes.
“Think we’re all soft in the Maguire family?”
Tom was furious. “I’m bringing him with me today. What do you think you can do about it, Camel?”
With that, Tom gestured. “Take the kid!”
“If you won’t listen, Mr. Maguire, you leave me no choice!”
Camel said emotionlessly, dialing a number. “Do it!”
With just those two words, he hung up.
Baron simply sat calmly where he was like a bystander, looking at things develop with some interest.
He wasn’t aware of what Camel had meant by that, but he understood that Camel wouldn’t disappoint
him.
Two of the Maguire family bodyguards had arrived next to Baron. But before they could move, several
well-built men walked out and blocked off the way in front of Baron, glaring at the Maguire bodyguards.
Tom’s gaze grew serious. He hadn’t thought that Camel really was going to go so far for Baron.
The originally clamorous banquet hall now bore an atmosphere of dread.
At that moment, there came a crisp, clear ringtone.
Everyone’s gaze fell uniformly on Tom, who produced his phone and took the call.
Soon, his expression changed, and he yelled in a shocked rage, “What did you say?”
