Invincible Heir

Chapter 109 The Savior of The Brown Family

Chapter 109 The Savior of The Brown Family

When Kris stepped outside the jail, he could hardly believe it. He never thought he could leave the

prison alive.

Soon, the other members of the Brown family all went back home.

Till this moment, Kris realized they really were out of danger, as if awakened from a dream.

“We are so lucky, Grandpa! We narrowly escaped death! But what we suffered in the prison was

because of Baron! Piece of shit! I’ll kill him!” Shallot said angrily. Because of Baron, he was beaten

several times in the prison.

But to Shallot’s surprise, his grandpa Kris didn’t stand with him this time.

Kris slapped him hard and said angrily, “Shut up! From this day forward, anyone who offends Mr. Owen

will be kicked out of the family!”

Shallot was shocked, touching his red face. He was Kris’ favorite grandchild and was the most likely

heir to the Brown family. He had never been treated like this.

Kris looked around and said coldly, “Mr. Owen was the savior of our Brown family. Without his help, we

will all die in the prison! We shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds you, right?”

Everyone was sharply hit by the full meaning of the words. Baron saved them!

Thinking of the days in prison, Shallot shivered a little. In the prison, it would be lucky to die! “I promise,

Grandpa! I will treat him as our savior,” he said.

“So are we all. We won’t mess with Mr. Owen again!” Others said. They were abused by other criminals

while they were in prison, and they had had enough of it. They even didn’t want to recall the memories.

“Let me say that again. From this day on, our Brown family should follow Mr. Owen’s lead. You should

be more respectful to him than to me! You all got that?” Kris said majestically.

“Yes! Mr. Brown!” everyone chorused.

“What are we going to do with Hudson, Grandpa?” Shallot asked.

The words reminded Kris. Hudson was the only one to blame for their ordeal. He kidnapped Baron’s

daughter and for that, he dragged the whole family into the big trouble.

When Hudson was taken to the birthday dinner by Charles, he had been severely wounded. After these

days’ treatment, his conditions were not getting better and he was still in intensive care. Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

Kris seemed to be deep in thought and no one dared to bother him. After a while, he made a decision,

“Tell the hospital, we give up the treatment!”

His words just like a bomb. Everyone looked astonished. Without treatment, Hudson would definitely

die.

But it was Hudson that made everybody suffer. Looking back on those days, they hated Hudson so

much. So, they thought he just got what he deserved.

Shallot felt kind of sad for Hudson. Hudson was his brother and they grew up together. But he couldn’t

do anything about it, because Baron’s power was far beyond imagination. If he made one false move,

the whole family would collapse.

Soon afterwards, Baron heard the news about Kris’ decision. He stood by the window and smiled, “Kris

gave me a great present!”

“You shouldn’t trust him, Mr. Owen! Some people act like a friend to your face but then do something

terrible behind your back, just like the Porter family.” Charles reminded him.

“There is no need to worry. Either the Brown family or the Porter family, they are not critically important

to me. We are strong enough to deal with them and we just need them to help me build my own

business empire,” Baron sneered.

Just then, Bonnie knocked at the door and entered. “Mr. Chairman. Here Wayne comes!” she said.

Bonnie was now Yuri’s secretary.

“Let him in,” Baron said calmly.

Soon, Wayne came in.

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Owen!” Wayne said and sat down on the sofa. There was definite arrogance in

his voice.

“What are you doing here?” Baron asked.

“I’m here to talk business with you,” Wayne answered, with a smile.

“I think we have talked about it!” Baron said deliberately. Actually, he had guessed at his intention.

“Well, that’s right. But our cooperation was imperfect. we’ll go into depth about how to strengthen the

cooperation, such as the profit distribution,” Wayne said.

Baron didn’t interrupt him and listened silently.

“You own 49 percent of River Construction Materials’ shares because of the influence of the Brone

Group. But it is different now. Your company’s general manager has been caught by the police. The

Brone Group isn’t what it used to be,” Wayne said haughtily. He settled himself comfortably on the sofa

and crossed his legs.

“After a long discussion, our Porter family have two new plans. The first one, you return the 49 percent

of the shares and write off our cooperation. The second one, we move forward, but you should put

$100 million into the River Construction Materials and your shares fell to 5 percent,” Wayne continued.

Baron looked at him and, without a word, smiled.

“Oh! And there is one more thing. One of the Brown family’s businesses has agreed to work with the

Porter family. That is really a great beginning, right? I believe it won’t take a long time for me to get all

of the businesses of the Brown family. May I remind you, by then you have no chance to cooperate with

us. Do you think so?” said Wayne triumphantly.

“Well, thanks for the heads up. In return, let me remind you of something else,” Baron said. A grin

spread slowly across his face.

“What?” asked Wayne, bewildered.

“I think you misunderstood me. I never said I wanted to cooperate with the Porter family,” Baron said

slowly.

Wayne was shaken by this unexpected confession. He frowned and said, “Ah, I take your point. You

have chosen the first one. You want to terminate the cooperation, right? Well, then, you can just return

the shares!”

“What if I say no?” said Baron, with a half-smile,

“Don’t push your luck, Baron! Without the Owen family, the Brone Group is nothing! And you have been

kicked out of the Owen family many years ago! You’re just a good for nothing bum! Now, I’ll give you

one last chance. Say no again and you’re dead,” said Wayne savagely.

“I think you’re missing my point, Wayne. Let me make it clearer. I never said I wanted to cooperate with

the Porter family. I want the whole Porter family to follow my orders! But obviously, your family betrayed

me!” said Baron slowly.

“Nonsense! Who the hell do you think you are? Our Porter family is going to own the Brown family’s

businesses. By then, I am out of your league! Who the fuck are you to say that?” Wayne shouted

angrily.

“How can you be so confident? I know you want to take over the Brown’s businesses, but did you even

get their consent?” Baron smiled.

“Are you kidding me? There already is no more Brown family! Even maybe Kris is already dead.

Thanks to you! You sent them to jail so that our family had the opportunity to take over their

businesses,” Wayne sneered.

“How dare you! I’m still alive. Why do you covet my businesses? You bastard!” Kris entered and fixed

his eye on Wayne, his face immobile in its dignity.

Wayne was really freaked when he saw Kris. “You are alive! How is that possible?” he cried.

Kris looked at him coldly and walked toward Baron, with a folder in his hand. “These are materials

about our businesses, Mr. Owen. And this is a contract. Just sign here and the Brown family’s

businesses are all yours.”
