I'm a Cheerleader

Chapter 8 The Mondays

Chapter 8 The Mondays

Vincent's POV

Okay, remember last time when I had great big news to tell Sammie.... Well yeah, we all know how that

went. I haven't told Derrick yet either. I thought it would be better to tell them at the same time.

"Hey, Derrick," I whisper as we stretch in the gym.

He rolled his eyes then turned to me. "What?" he said.

"What's got you in the mood?" I asked.

"I was in trouble during the weekend, remember," he said.

"Sorry," I say then I look around. "Where's Sammie?" I ask.

"Don't know, don't care," he said.

I slanted my eyes at him. "You don't have to be rude about it," I said then I went over to Coach Kal. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

"Hey, Coach," I say cheerfully while giving a fake smile.

"Vincent, are you done stretching?" he asked.

"Yes," I say slowly and he sighs.

"What is it Vincent?" he asked.

"Where's Sammie?" I asked.

His eyebrow lifted up and he was smiling. "Ah is that the reason you wanted to do football?" he asked.

"Wait, what?!" I said.

"So you like to be in control of the relationship I see," he said grinning.

"What are you talking about?" I asked as my face was heating up.

"He's a bit short but average height I guess," he said rubbing his chin.

"I'm not-" I started to say but out of nowhere Mason pops up.

"Hey babe," he said and kissed me on the lips.

My face turns completely red and the coach's face darkens. "Oh, my bad, my mistake. Oh, Sammie

there you are," he said.

I turned around to see Sammie just staring at us. Mostly Mason and I. Well this is just the case of the

Mondays. Nothing goes right.

"Sammie-" I say but he brushes past me to the coach.

"Sorry I was late," he said, giving the pass to Coach Kal.

"It's fine kid." Coach Kal said trying to smile but had a look of concern on his face. Are you okay?

Coach Kal mouths it and Sammie nods slowly.

Sammie turns around and walks slowly towards where Derrick is and sits down. He's spacing off.

"Vincent, you okay?" Mason asked, looking concerned.

"I'm fine," I say quickly and I leave him to go to the others.

The whole gym stopped staring at me thank goodness. As soon as I went over there Derrick grabbed

my arm and took me to a corner.

"Your dating Mason?" he asked.

"Yeah, I wanted to tell you and Sammie," I said looking over to Sammie as it seemed like he was frozen

in place.

"I'm happy for you," Derrick said grinning. Then he glanced at Sammie. "But I think he's still in shock,"

he said biting his lip so he wouldn't laugh.

I was glad he thought this was funny but I couldn't. That was not the way I wanted them to find out. I

walked towards Sammie and sat next to him.

"Your dating...." he exhales. "Mason." he squeaked.

"Yeah, I was planning on telling you guys,"I said sighing.

He looked at me for a while then sighed as well. Then he asked me a question that surprised me. "Are

you happy?" he asked.

I glanced at him then Mason grinning and talking to his friends. A smile came on my face. For a second

I thought Sammie frowned but when I looked at him he looked away.

"Well if you're happy then I'm fine," he said smiling a bit but I could tell he looked a bit sad.

"Sammie are you-"I started to say.

"Yeah I'm fine," he said, getting up and then walked away.

At lunch, he didn't sit at our table. He didn't talk to me in the classes. Then after school came.

"What are you doing here Vincent?" Veronica said, shocked to see me on the field.

The female coach which I found out is Coach Marge. Was grinning at me then turned to the

cheerleaders.

"This is our first time doing this. But say hello to one of our cheerleaders, Vincent," she said.

Veronica scrunched up her nose in disgust. Then she smiled at Coach Marge. "I would love to help him

you know," she said.

"Already have that covered." Coach Marge said, making Veronica frown and me smirk. "Alexis and you

I guess could both help him," she said.

Alexis? Damn it. I forgot she was a cheerleader too.

"Alexis!" Veronica said, pulling her out of the cheerleader group.

Alexis was smiling with her face flushed. I tilt my head to the side in confusion. Then when she saw me

her face darkened. Well, damn bitch! So the two and I we're a bit farther than the others.

"So Alexis you hate him too?" Veronica said, smirking.

"I wouldn't say that, we just got off the wrong foot," Alexis said.

I rolled my eyes at them. Bitches talking about me When I'm Right Here!

"Hey, you guys are supposed to be helping me," I said calmly, trying not to get mad.

"Shut up homo." Veronica said.

And I was about to yell at her but Alexis had a reaction. Her face darkens. I guess she noticed I saw

and looked away. She is strange.

"How about we just help him," Alexis said smiling.

"That's no fun," Veronica said pouting.

I never saw this side of Veronica. Alexis started laughing. Maybe she's not so bad.

"Anyway, why are you a cheerleader, are you trying to ruin our school?" Veronica said glaring at me.

WRONG SHE'S A TOTAL BITCH!

"It's my punishment okay," I said rolling my eyes.

"Also," she said walking towards me. "I heard you kissed Mason," she whispered.

I jumped back with my face completely red. She smirked and crossed her arms.

"I guess it's true," she said with her eyes slanted. "Guess little Sammie is available," she said and

Alexis looked mad.

I ignored Alexis for the moment. "Only I call him Sammie. I gave him that nickname!" I yelled and I saw

Alexis smile a little but then...

"Vincent?" a voice said.

I turned around and came face to face with Sammie.

"Sammie?!" I said surprised.

He smirked which made me a bit calm. At least he's not out of it like he was before.

"So no one else can call me Sammie eh?" he asked with an eyebrow up but smiling.

"That's right," I said grinning.

"Samuel how do you just let him treat you this way?!" Veronica cries.

I flash her a glare. As she runs to Samuel. And Alexis doesn't seem too happy either.

"I gotta go," he said, pushing Veronica away then smiling at me. "Bye," he said, smiling at me then

waving at Alexis and went with the other football players.

I smile as he walks away. Then I glare at Veronica. "Why are you throwing yourself at him?" I asked.

"I like him," Veronica said and Alexis twitched and I shivered.

"Poor Sammie has the devil liking him," I said, shivering.

"Shut up," she said. "Anyway I just have to win him over," she said.

"He doesn't like you. And never will." I said snapping.

"Anythings possible. And are you jealous when you're already dating someone?" she asked, looking

amused.

"I'm not-" I started to say.

"Jealous of what?" a voice said.

I yelp and jump back. I turn around and it's Mason.

"Hey Vincent," he said grinning.

"Hi," I say as Veronica smirks.

"Hello brother," she said.

.......Brother?

"Ehhhhh?!" I say.

Mason laughs at my reaction. "We're step-siblings," he said.

"How do you deal with....that all day?!" I yelled pointing at Veronica.

She glares at me while Mason laughs. "At first we didn't get along especially when she found out I was

bi," he said.

"Oh, I still don't see how you deal with her," I said slanting my eyes at her.

"Well have fun," he said and kissed me on the forehead and left.

Eventually, they did teach me some moves. Mason drove me home and I decided to finish my

homework. Then my phone started ringing.

"Hey." the voice said.

"Hey who's this?" I say putting my books and homework in my backpack.

"....Alexis," she said.

"How did you get my number?!" I yelled.

"Doesn't matter we need to talk," she said. "Meet me at Oakville Park." then she hung up.

I sighed and got out of bed. Ha, you guys really thought I was going to the park didn't you? Instead, I

took a shower and watched YouTube until I was told to go to sleep.
