Chapter 406 A Reunion (Part Two)

Chapter 406 A Reunion (Part Two)

Cherry adjusted herself physically and mentally. She put the meeting with Mond out of her mind, and

smiled, adopting the ethos that everything was fine. When she had her mindset right, she answered the

call, "Hi, Selina!"

Selina's voice came through the line, bubbling and full of delight, "Hi, Cherry, what are you up to?"

"Oh! Not much, just handling some simple documents, nothing pressing."

Selina asked Cherry, "How has your day at work been? Is it going well?"

Instead of responding to Selina's questions, Cherry joked with her, "Selina, are you asking me as

Wilson's wife?"

"Oh my gosh! Of course not, Cherry! I just want to know how you are." Selina explained quickly.

"All right, I know. I'm just kidding." Cherry giggled as she talked, "I'm fine at the company. Wilson takes

good care of me, and the work isn't tiring."

"As he should! After all, Jackson ordered me to inform Wilson of what would happen if you were tired

out at work. He would call on Wilson."

"Really? Did he really say that?" It surprised Cherry that Jackson would do that. She thought he had

been joking that night. It was unexpected that Jackson would stick to his word on this.

"Of course he did. You are more important than anyone in Jackson's world. Do you think he would just

stand by if you are suffering? No! Of course not!" Selina said.

"Well, it's Wilson's company, and how he deals with it is his business. Including how he treats his staff

and that means me. Jackson shouldn't meddle. If Jackson orders you again, just ignore him please. He

is just being a bully." Cherry's voice was angry and waivered. Inside though she was thrilled and her

heart soared. The love Jackson felt for her was a fairytale come true, and better than her imagination,

because it was reality and he was her husband!

Selina replied in a rush flustered manner, "Cherry, I couldn't do that! I would never dare oppose

Jackson, it would tantamount to insubordination."

Cherry knew that Selina was kidding too, "Well then, if you say so, Selina. Then I guess just let

Jackson do as his wishes. Let's see how far he will go."

Selina excitedly asked, "Oh, I just had a great idea! Cherry, how about having dinner together? I'll call

Jackson and Derek; you and Wilson meet us at the JS Group!"

"Meet at the JS Group? Wait! I don't think I can. You know I need to pick Joe up, right from work."

Cherry replied. How could she forget her dear Joe?

"How about asking Bill to pick Joe up? If Bill isn't available, I'll send one of my men to pick him up, all

right?" Selina said.

Cherry thought about it, "Well, okay, I'll have Bill pick Joe up. I'll call him now."

"Good, have Bill get Joe and then tell him to bring Joe to the JS Group. I'll wait for them in my office.

Then we can have dinner with our dear Joe too, all right?." Selina suggested.

"Okay. I'll call Wilson now. You tell Jackson and Derek." Cherry said smiling.

"Good."

Cherry went to Wilson's office as soon as she hung up.

Wilson said "Please, enter." when he heard someone knocking. He raised his head, surprised to see

Cherry.

"Is something wrong, Cherry?" Wilson asked as he laid his pen down.

Cherry walked up to Wilson, smiling, "Selina just called to set up a dinner appointment with Jackson

and Derek."

"That sounds great! I'm available tonight." Wilson said, and then thought of something, "Wait, when do

you need to pick Joe up?"

"I'm going to ask Bill to pick Joe up and bring him to the JS Group."

"Oh wow! That sounds complicated. Tell you what, I'll swing by and get Joe, when I finish what I am

working on here. It works out perfectly, I will be just finished here when it's time to get Joe. There, that's

settled now. You go meet up with Selina, I'll pick Joe up and join you after."Wilson smiled

enthusiastically as he spoke.

Cherry didn't want to put him out, "Are you sure you don't mind? You are quite busy after all, and I'm

concerned you will worn out after picking Joe up at school."

"No need to worry, I'll be fine. Besides, Joe is my nephew. All uncles love their nephews, and I'm no

exception. Just go meet up with Selina. Joe and I will be there as quick as we can." Wilson said.

Cherry knew Wilson was stubborn and had made up his mind, so she nodded in agreement, "All right

then, we'll meet you and Joe at the JS Group."

"Good, see you soon. Drive carefully." Wilson reminded her.

"All right! All right!" Cherry rolled her eyes as she smiled at him.

Cherry left Wilson's office and went back to hers. She finished up her task at hand, tidied up for the

next work day and left, grabbing her purse as she hurried on her way.

When she got to the JS Group, Cherry went to Seline's office. As soon as she got off the elevator, Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

Cherry saw Selina in her office.

"Selina, hi!" Cherry smiled warmly as she greeted Selina.

"Hi, Cherry." Selina stood up and walked out to Cherry. She looked around the hallway, and then back

to Cherry asking, "Oh! Why did you come alone?"

"Oh, so, you noticed." Cherry giggled as she took Selina's hand, "Wilson had to finish up some

business, and offered to pick Joe up when he was done. That way Bill wouldn't need to go get him."

Selina nodded, "That's sensible. It's so good of Uncle Wilson to pick his little nephew up."

Cherry raised an eyebrow, "Wow! When did you become so sensible?"

Cherry chuckled cheerfully. She had noticed Selina becoming gentler lately. Was that what happened

to every woman when they were in a relationship? They softened because of their partner.

"Cherry, that's such utter nonsense! I've always been sensible." Selina lowered her head blushing.

"Okay, fine. I'm only kidding." Cherry couldn't stop smiling, "Aren't Jackson and Derek here yet?"

"No, they aren't. I have no idea where they are traveling from, but, they called a little while ago to let us

know they'd be here soon." complained Selina.

"Well, let's wait a few more minutes." Cherry suggested happily smiling.

"Okay."
