Chapter 297 Love Is With A Cost (Part Two)

But Jackson angrily stared at her and said, "You know I hate Mond and Stephen, so why do you remain

on their side?"

Sally immediately became frightened when she saw the terrifying look in Jackson's eyes.

She slowly distanced herself from Jackson and kept herself back from him.

"Jackson, please forgive me! I didn't do stay for no reason." Sally pleaded.

"Sure, you have your reasons. Mond has been giving you money all these years! Money that is actually

Grandpa's money! Of course, you would stay with him for the money!" Jackson spat out angrily.

When Sally heard his words, her eyes became as big as saucers. She knew she couldn't conceal

anything from Jackson. He knew everything.

"You...you already knew all of that?" Asked Sally.

But Jackson didn't answer.

She continued, "Mond's been with me for many years, ever since I left the residential compound..."

When Sally saw Jackson look away, she knew he understood what she was about to say, even though

she hadn't finished telling him.

Sally suddenly stepped closer to Jackson again. She pulled his arm and quickly said, "Jackson, don't

worry, we haven't leaked any of the things that happened back then. I'll never say anything, and

Stephen won't either."

Jackson glanced down at Sally thinking, 'The one that I worry about is Mond, and the person that I care

about is Cherry. If Cherry never knows about those things, then, even if everyone else in this world

knows about them, I won't care...'

When Cherry and Selina came out of the washroom and headed back, Cherry looked at the crowds of

people and felt troubled.

"Selina, let's find a quieter place for a while. I don't want to see those people." Cherry suggested.

"Okay." Replied Selina, not wanting to go back either. She was as disgusted as Cherry when she

thought of Sally.

"What about...that place? Nobody would be there..." Selina suggested as she pointed to a corner at the

end of a corridor.

"Alright." Agreed Cherry, nodding her head.

They walked in that direction, but suddenly stopped in their tracks.

Cherry thought the scene in front of her was too familiar to her. There was no doubt, the man was her

husband, Jackson, and the woman at his side was Sally, clinging to him as she had done some

moments before.

When Selina saw Sally was pulling at Jackson's arm, and they were quarreling about something, she

was angry, and thought, 'She is such a shameless bitch!'

Then she looked over at Cherry standing next to her, who was just standing still and calmly observing

them. She realized Cherry was unable to react, too overwhelmed with grief and in shock. 'She must be

devastated!' Selina thought, 'Seeing her husband standing in a dark corner with another woman! Even

without any intimate overtures, it's too much for her.'

She thought a moment, and suddenly shouted loudly in the direction of the corner, "Hey, Jackson!"

Jackson and Sally turned and looked at Selina when they heard her voice.

Then Jackson noticed Cherry standing there quietly. He shoved Sally away from him, and wondered,

'How long has she been standing there? She's angry. I know her well enough, and I know she must be

angry now!'

When Cherry heard Selina call out, she snapped out of her trance. Then she lowered her head, and

said to Selina, "I've got to go."

She immediately turned away from the scene and walked quickly away.

Selina didn't prevent her from leaving, but stared at Sally furiously saying loudly, "Such a shameless

bitch!"

When she finished her words, she left too.

When Jackson saw Cherry walk away, he immediately moved to chase after her, but Sally caught him

by the arm and pulled him back toward her.

"Jackson, don't leave me alone! Don't run after her!" Sally begged him in a whining tone.

"Let go of me, right now! She's my wife!" Jackson snapped as he shook himself free of Sally's firm grip

and immediately ran off in the direction Cherry and Selina disappeared.

Sally watched as Jackson ran away, and she collapsed on the ground, heavy in thought, 'He left me

alone again, all because of Cherry, because of that woman! Cherry, you stole my most precious

treasure from me. How can you think for a moment that I will let you go easily?'

As Selina neared Cherry, Jackson overtook her and strode passed towards Cherry. She watched

Jackson's figure and thought, 'Their conflict should be resolved between the two of them. Just leave

them alone now.' So she stood still as she watched Jackson chase after Cherry.

"Wait for me!" Shouted Jackson when he was a few steps behind Cherry, and he suddenly quickened

his pace and reached out to catch Cherry by her arm.

Cherry felt herself being pulled back by him and into his arms.

"Let go of me! Let me go, immediately!" Cherry shouted angrily at him.

"Let me explain! It's not what you think." Jackson pleaded as he thought, 'Her every move directs all of This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

my emotions!'

"No! I won't! I won't listen to you!" Cherry told him as she put her hands over her ears. She didn't want

to hear what Jackson had to say anymore, because his relationship with Sally was nothing new to her.

She didn't even know how long it had been on! Should she include only the past five years, or the

many many years before that? Sally had been there with him all those years before she appeared in

Jackson's world. The thought of that, made her feel insecure, like she was always a loser.

But Jackson held her tightly by her arms and wouldn't let her go. He suppressed his emotions softly

telling her, "Baby, please calm down. Please, listen to me."

"No! No, I won't!" Cherry shouted shaking her head.

She wouldn't stop struggling against Jackson in his arms, so he dragged her away, towards another

building nearby.

He half-dragged Cherry up to the third floor of the building, to a private room. He pulled her inside and

closed the door behind them.
