Chapter 105
Chapter 105
Mason had never loved anyone, but that didn’t mean he was clueless when it came to putting work into a relationship.
Silence draped over the car.
If working on their relationship meant that Zoe would love him again, he wouldn’t mind putting in some work so they could become a couple who loved each other genuinely.

It was evening on the weekend. A black limousine pulled up to the manor. The chauffeur carried Mason’s suitcases and said respectfully, “Do you need my help with the suitcases, Mr. Mason?”
Mason was dressed in black. As they said, the suit maketh the man. Standing in the evening light, he looked exceptionally dashing. Even the old servant couldn't help but steal glances at him.
He asked lightly, “Where’s Zoe?”
The servant was about to respond when they heard the sound of a violin coming from the third floor. The melody was mellow and it complimented the evening twilight.
She couldn’t help but put in a good word for Zoe, “Ms. Zoe plays a mean violin! Perhaps you should find her and enjoy yourself.”
He chuckled in response.
Carrying his suitcases by himself, he climbed the stairs and went to the study. Zoe was dressed in a gray dress, her black hair cascading on her slender back.
What a gorgeous sight.
Taking in the view quietly, he put down the suitcases and walked toward her. Then, he embraced her from behind, rested his chin on her delicate shoulder, and spoke in a rare gentle tone, “You look beautiful in that dress.”
Zoe was completely taken by surprise when he embraced her. She almost dropped the violin.
He was holding her slender waist before she knew it, fondling her tenderly with one hand and taking away her violin with another. Then, he pushed her against the window and stared at her delicate features.
It was autumn in October and the elm leaves were tinged with gold. The light gave off a gentle glow in the manor.
They hadn’t seen each other for a week. It felt as if they had been apart for far longer. He pressed his lips on hers. The kisses varied in intensity.
Some time passed before he slowed down and whispered, with his lips still pressed against hers, “Looks like the past few days have been kind to you, Zoe.”
Raising her head, she couldn’t hide her surprise from her face.
She had no idea what had come over him.
She was about to reply when he kissed her again. This time, he wasn’t gentle with it. Holding her neck, he pressed her head against him and kissed her with a fierce intensity. They stumbled onto the couch while their lips were still locked onto each other.
He didn’t take off her dress. Instead, he caressed her slender waist and asked her if they could have sex. He told her he wanted to do it once before dinner.
Zoe could feel the heat from his face as he pressed against her neck. His masculine scent intoxicated her, like poison from a snake that she couldn't escape.
She was trembling beneath him. Their last experience was rather traumatic and it lingered in her mind.
However, she couldn’t reject him. She knew he’d make her life difficult if she fought back. So, she might as well just have sex with him and be done with it.
With that in mind, she refrained from bringing up their last experience. She kissed his chin, and spoke softly, “Give me a minute.”
His black eyes grew deeper as he caressed her slender waist again. The firm sensation got him hooked.
Rising, Zoe straightened up her dress and left.
He, too, sat up slightly and removed his coat. He was about to smoke a cigarette to help calm himself down when she returned with a box of condoms.
His eyes grew darker as he held the unlit cigarette in his mouth. Lowering his gaze, he watched as she knelt, unwrapped the condom, and sheepishly prepared to do what needed to be done.
All of a sudden, he grabbed her hand and asked softly, “Are you putting a condom on me because you think I’m filthy?”
