Annie was a bit puzzled.

She raised her hand to signal Harper to wait a moment. "Give me a moment."

After a while, she said, "Let me recap. Are you suspecting that Frank is the man who took Wulf's wife? And do you suspect him to be the mastermind or participant in this recent collapse incident?" Harper didn't say anything, which was considered an affirmation.

Annie furrowed her brows, carefully considering, and then looked at the photos and videos on her phone. She asked, "Do you know where this hat came from?"

"I asked about it. I saw it after the incident at the Mitchell Group, so I asked him, and he said Michelle bought it for him."

At the time, Harper didn't think much of it because his response seemed reasonable.

So she didn't have any doubts about him.

But repeated occurrences made her really unable to help but think more.

Annie suggested, "Until things are cleared up, I think you should remain calm, observe for a couple of days, or try to test him? Although I'm not fond of Frank, he's been very good to you, and you've been friends for many years. So I won't express any opinions, but I hope you'll stay rational and calm about this." Harper nodded in understanding.

After a while, they returned to the office.

Harper returned to her office and just sat down when Benjamin's call came in.

Benjamin asked, "Did you go to the hospital? Is your back still bothering you?"

Harper furrowed her brows, rubbed her forehead lightly, and asked calmly, "Did you install a monitor around me?"

"Curtis went to the hospital to see Dr. Gene and saw you with Annie."

"What was he doing at the hospital?"

"Why are you so concerned about him?"

His voice carried a hint of displeasure.

Harper chuckled, "I'm more concerned about whether he went to see Dr. Gene because of Grandma."

"No, it's something personal," Benjamin replied lightly, then asked, "You haven't answered my question. So what did you go to the hospital for?"

"To see Grandma," she said softly.

"Just to see Eleanor?"

"Yes," she confirmed.

Benjamin fell silent, feeling somewhat surprised that the timing of her visit to the hospital didn't match her usual visits to see Eleanor.

Harper said, "Why aren't you speaking?"

"I'm waiting for you to speak."

"What?" Harper raised her eyebrows, suddenly remembered something, and said, "After Grandma's surgery, I want to accompany her back to Dattlech."

Jennifer's words from last time were still fresh in Harper's mind. Although the house in Dattlech belonged to her grandfather, Eleanor had been married to him for so many years, so she was also the owner of that house. Jennifer's words were somewhat excessive.

So Harper planned to clarify this matter and prevent Eleanor from feeling uncomfortable which would affect her health.

Although Eleanor might not look like she cares, how could she truly be unbothered deep down?
