COUPLE SHIRT
After eating lunch, Samarra and Zachary hurried to MK Shop, a souvenir and clothing store. Upon entering, they proceeded directly to the second floor. Samarra went to the women’s clothing store immediately. She grabbed a shirt with a cropped top and tattered shorts. She lifted it into the air to inspect the shorts’ details; when satisfied, she immediately removed it from the hanger.
“Are you not supposed to wear those shorts?”
Samarra immediately turned to the source of the voice; she could see Zachary’s brow furrow. He frowned, took her short, and returned it to where she had taken it.
Her gaze was drawn to Zachary.
What the hell happened? When did it become illegal to wear such shorts?
Zachary immediately stopped Samarra after taking a deep breath and retook the shorts.
“You’re not allowed to wear that.”
She shrugged as she held his in her arm, ignoring him. She fixed her gaze on Zachary.
“Ara?”
“What? It’s only short. What exactly is your issue?”
“It’s too short; a slight bend and someone might see your butt.”
Samarra took a step back and turned to face Zachary.
Seriously? Was that his thought? What noble woman would stoop to show off her butt cheeks?
“Oh, Cadden, that’s short; don’t tell me; we’re going to argue about it?”
Samarra’s head was stroked. She cannot take it any longer. Simple shorts. For the time being, she does not appear to be permitted. In their house, she was only wearing panties.
“It’s too short.”
“Gosh! That is why it is referred to as short. It’s called pants if it’s long.”
She had lost patience with Zachary because he would not let go of her arm. It’s a good thing there aren’t too many people around.
“Ara, you must not wear that short. It’s too short; why don’t you understand what I’m saying?” Samarra followed Zachary’s gaze as he returned the shorts she was holding earlier.
“Since when? When is it still forbidden? Also, many of the women here are dressed in shorts.” She insisted on taking the short that Zachary had returned.
“I said… I told you not to wear it. You’re not allowed.”
She waved to him while holding the shorts and looked at Zachary’s rage. He acted as if he was annoyed by her as well.
“What? It’s just a simple short. It’s not a big deal, but you exaggerate.” She could see his brow furrow.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
“Okay, alright, I’m allowing you.”
“What?”
Samarra swallowed as Zachary walked closer to her. with each step Zachary took, she was taking action backward.
“I’m allowing you to wear that, but your t-shirt should be up to a foot long.”
She frowned as she looked at Zachary’s face. What? T-shirt up to a foot long? What’s that? Is Zachary going crazy? She took a deep breath first.
“And where can I find such a long t-shirt?”
He shrugged at her and moved away a bit. She got on her head as if her head would hurt from their pointless argument.
“If you don’t see anything, just do as I say, or you just want us to go home if you insist on keeping it short.” She scowled at what Zachary was saying.
Are they leaving because of the shorts? Gosh! Her blood pressure appears to be high.
“What exactly did you say?”
“Rather than wearing that, let’s just go home.” Samarra was blown away by the wind before returning her gaze to Zachary. She had run out of patience and was irritated.
Gosh! It’s just simple shorts. It shouldn’t be a problem.
“Okay, you’ve won. That will not wear that. We’re not going home.”
Zachary moved quickly at four o’clock, took the short she was holding, and returned it to where she had taken it.
She winced when she saw Zachary’s delighted expression at her surrender.
Zachary seized the shirt and shorts she was carrying. He was responsible for determining what they would wear. She allowed Zachary to choose their attire while she followed him. Purchase two pairs of the same khaki shorts, light blue T-shirts, and slippers. He then paid for the item and accompanied her out of the store. She frowned because every item he purchased for them was the same.
“Why are you frowning?”
“Because I wasn’t informed that we should be wearing the same thing.” She rolled her eyes when Zachary laughed and put his arm around her waist.
“Call it a couple’s shirt and another; we’re on a first date, so just relax; you’ve been hot-tempered before.”
Samarra could not help but observe Zachary as if he were dating for the first time, despite the reality that he was already in a relationship. She winced as she recalled his last remark that she was the one with a short temper. Who among the two could be angered because of the shorts? Tsk.
She remained silent until they entered the spa. Their only plan was to take a bath, change their clothes, and store them in the locker. Thank goodness she’s a girl scout; she used to keep extra underwear in her bag. Because the woman and the man were separated, Zachary gave her the dress he had purchased from her.
“You need only one hour to finish your bath, not two or three. Just one hour, do you understand? Do you notice the MK café?” Samarra followed her gaze to where Zachary’s hand was pointing, directly across from the spa and a coffee shop. She looked at Zachary, who was unable to finish his instructions to her because she was bored.
“Can you please stop, love? I’ll handle it; I promise to leave in less than an hour.”
Zachary regarded her with uncertainty as to whether he believed what she was saying. Therefore, she raised her right hand in agreement.
“I swear that I was just a moment.”
She was caught off guard when Zachary kissed her, and he quickly turned around. As she followed Zachary’s gaze, who had already entered the spa’s male entrance, she didn’t feel he was on her lips.
Samarra shrugged as she walked to the spa’s female entrance. She went straight into the shower room. She sat down for a long bath to calm her anger over the shorts, which she could not understand why they were arguing about.
When Samarra finished her bath, she put on the slipper, t-shirt, and shorts that Zachary had purchased for her.
“Hmm, it looks okay what he bought,” she said as she looked in the mirror. Her knee-length shorts and t-shirt were the perfect lengths; she combed her hair, arranged the clothes she had worn earlier, and placed them in a bag they had also purchased. She went to the MK café to see Zachary as soon as she was sure she had nothing left.
Samarra went to the MK café after leaving the spa to see if Zachary was ahead of her. When she didn’t see him, she decided to wait for him outside the café; no matter how hot it was, she could make sure Zachary saw her right away opposite the café.
