Anthony nodded in response, "Come, let's go buy something." NôvelDrama.Org content.
Sandy nodded and turned to Yanis, speaking softly, "Yanis, why don't you go shopping with Mr.
Lawrence for a while? I encountered something earlier, and Mr. Austi helped me out. Since we bumped
into each other today, I feel like I should treat him to a meal and offer a formal apology. So I won't be
joining you."
Yanis glanced at Anthony's face and took a few steps aside with Sandy before speaking, "How did you
meet Anthony?"
"Yanis knows him too?"
"You can say that. I don't feel at ease with you being alone with him. How about we go together?" Yanis
whispered.
Sandy smiled, "I'm quite good at judging people. Don't worry, we won't be third wheels to you and Mr.
Lawrence. You two go ahead and enjoy yourselves. If I need to go back later, I'll call you."
Since Sandy had made it clear, it seemed inappropriate for Yanis to say anything else. So Yanis could
only nod, "Alright, if you need anything, just give me a call."
Sandy responded, "Don't worry, everything will be fine."
While Yanis was talking to Sandy, Zane looked at Anthony, who was standing nearby, and asked, "How
do you know each other?"
"I said it was a heroic rescue. Do you believe me?" Anthony lifted his eyes and glanced at Zane as he
said this.
Although he didn't say much, the meaning behind his gaze was evident.
After meeting Zane's gaze, Anthony smiled and said, "I'm telling the truth. You really don't believe me?"
With that, Anthony glanced in Sandy's direction, then turned to Zane and suggested, "Why don't you
call her over and ask?"
Zane didn't respond to Anthony's suggestion but simply looked at him and said, "Don't touch her."
Upon hearing Zane's words, Anthony restrained his smile and asked, "Mr. Lawrence, are you protecting
her or warning me?"
Zane stated bluntly, "She's Yanis's friend."
Hearing Zane's response, Anthony suddenly laughed, "Alright, so if she's your wife's friend, then she's
your friend too, right?"
Zane couldn't deny it and nodded.
Anthony whispered, "Don't worry, I don't have the habit of casually touching women. Although I'm not a
good person, I still have some principles."
Just as Anthony finished speaking with Zane, Sandy and Yanis had finished their conversation and
approached.
Sandy looked directly at Anthony and said, "Mr. Austi, I've been busy and haven't had a chance to
properly thank you. Since we ran into each other today, why don't I treat you to a meal? Do you have
time?"
Anthony smiled, "Miss Thompson, if you invite me, I certainly have time."
Sandy nodded, then turned to greet Yanis and Zane before leaving with Anthony.
Yanis stood in place, watching Sandy and Anthony leave, and couldn't help but furrow her brows.
"Zane, I'm a little worried."
From Yanis' perspective, Anthony and Sandy were worlds apart. Moreover, Anthony didn't leave a good
impression on Yanis. So she was genuinely concerned.
Zane naturally reached out and held Yanis' hand when he heard her words. He whispered, "Anthony
won't harm her."
Upon hearing Zane's response, Yanis glanced at him and asked, "Are you so sure?"
"Don't you believe me?" Zane asked.
Yanis smiled and said, "No, I'm just curious why you're so certain."
Leaning closer to Yanis, Zane whispered in a voice only they could hear, "He likes Sandy."
When Yanis heard Zane's words, her facial expression subtly changed, and she looked at Zane in
shock. "How do you know?"
"Men's intuition," Zane replied.
Yanis: "..."
Yanis really hadn't seen any signs that Anthony liked Sandy. Now, with Zane's revelation, she grew
even more worried. So, after recovering from her shock, Yanis immediately took out her phone,
intending to call Sandy.
However, as Yanis took her phone out of her pocket, Zane reached out and took it from her hand.
"Don't make the call."
"Zane, if something happens to Sandy, I won't be able to explain it to Stella." Yanis looked at Zane
seriously.
"I guarantee that Anthony won't harm her," Zane said. He handed Yanis her phone and continued, "I
just spoke with Anthony. Although he's not a good person, he keeps his promises."
Yanis hesitated as she listened to Zane's words, still unsure. She looked at Zane and asked, "Are you
sure nothing will happen?"
Zane nodded and said, "Trust me."
Upon hearing Zane's assurance, Yanis didn't say anything more.
"You should go back to the company," Zane said, turning to Albi, who had been standing nearby for a
while. He spoke in a low voice.
Albi nodded in response to Zane's words. "Alright, I'll go back to the company first."
After saying that, Albi greeted Yanis, who was standing beside Zane, respectfully before turning to
leave.
Once Albi had left, Yanis looked at Zane and asked, "Aren't you going back to the company?"
"Do you have something to do this afternoon?" Zane asked, avoiding a direct answer.
"Not really," Yanis replied.
Zane held Yanis' hand and walked toward one side, saying, "Then let's stroll together."
Yanis agreed, "Okay."
They had been together for a while, but Zane had never gone out with Yanis before, and they rarely
had such leisurely walks together.
Initially, Yanis had planned to go shopping with Sandy to buy some clothes, but now that Sandy was
not around, Yanis didn't change her mind. Instead, she took Zane to the clothing section of a mall.
Although Yanis had bought clothes for Zane before, they would usually be put in the closet and worn by
Zane on a later day. Yanis seldom had the opportunity to shop for clothes together like this.
In fact, Yanis had a good eye for fashion, and every piece of clothing she bought for Zane suited him
well.
As they entered the store, Yanis instinctively went to look at men's clothing. Perhaps because it was
the changing season, there weren't many eye-catching styles.
Yanis had no choice but to take Zane to another store.
After going around in circles, Yanis ended up buying quite a few clothes for Zane. She also bought a
trench coat that matched Zane's style.
When they shopped together, they laughed and chatted, and time flew by quickly. By the time they
were almost done shopping, it was already 5 p. m.
Yanis glanced at the time and looked at Zane. "Zane, shall we go home?"
Zane raised his hand to check the time and replied, "Let's have dinner outside and have Iris bring Anika
along."
After hearing Zane's suggestion, Yanis nodded. "Is Anika allowed to come out freely now?"
"The doctor said it's fine." Zane picked up his phone and dialed Iris' number.
