Bonnie looked at Wendy upon hearing her words. "Alfie is going to talk to Mr. Lawrence and see who

would be a better fit as Yanis's husband."

Wendy was taken aback and turned to leave. Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

Bonnie grabbed Wendy's hand and whispered, "Wendy, when it comes to a duel between men, we

women don't get involved!"

Wendy forced a smile and said, "Alfie has been acting strange these past few days. I don't know what

he's thinking. What if he says something Mr. Lawrence doesn't want to hear?"

"Don't worry, even if Alfie scolds him, Mr. Lawrence won't dare to touch Alfie. With Yanis around, what

do you have to worry about?"

"I'm not worried about Mr. Lawrence. I'm..."

"Wendy, trust me, everything will be fine," Bonnie interrupted Wendy once again, cutting off her words.

Wendy looked at Bonnie, still feeling uneasy.

Yanis spoke up at the right moment. "Wendy, it's okay, no need to worry."

"See? Yanis has spoken, there won't be any issues," Bonnie added.

After saying this, Bonnie couldn't help but glance at Yanis curiously and asked in a soft voice, "Yanis,

do you know what Alfie wants to talk to Mr. Lawrence about? What could a little brat like him discuss

with a big CEO? Is he really trying to compete with Mr. Lawrence for you?"

Yanis listened to Bonnie's words and sighed helplessly. "It's just some secrets between men. I

promised Alfie not to tell anyone."

Bonnie went over and hugged Yanis tightly. "Yanis, look at me. Do I look like someone else? Am I

someone else? Take a good look."

Yanis pushed Bonnie away a little. "You're not someone else, but I still can't tell you. I promised Alfie."

Bonnie hugged Yanis again. "If you don't tell me today, I won't let go of you!"

Yanis was worn down by Bonnie's persistence and finally relented. "Stand properly first. Isn't it

uncomfortable holding me like that?"

Bonnie released Yanis upon hearing this. "Tell me."

Yanis whispered, "Alfie told me that Zane is involved with another girl outside. That's why he hasn't

come to see me recently. So, he wants to have a serious talk with Zane and find out if he really has

someone else."

Wendy exclaimed when she heard Yanis's words, "That little rascal can come up with such nonsense!"

Saying that, Wendy turned and hurriedly left.

Neither Yanis nor Bonnie could stop her this time.

Bonnie glanced at Wendy's retreating figure and then turned to Yanis. "Zane has someone else?"

Yanis asked, "Do you think it's possible?"

Bonnie stood up straight and pondered for a few seconds. "I think Alfie's analysis is correct. It seems

like Zane hasn't come to see you much lately. Could it be that he really has thoughts of betrayal?"

Yanis tidied up the things on the table. "How are you going to leave later? Will you drive or wait for

Lawyer Phillips to come pick you up?"

Bonnie looked at Yanis with a serious expression. "Mrs. Lawrence, please address my question

seriously. Is he...?"

"He won't," Yanis interrupted Bonnie before she could finish her sentence.

Bonnie clicked her tongue. "I also think he won't, but how could that kid say something like that?"

Yanis said, "He said he saw Zane with another girl again."

"Is it true?"

"It's probably Aurora. A few days ago, she returned the money she borrowed from him and said it was

from before." Yanis explained in a low voice.

"Aurora borrowed money from Mr. Lawrence?" Bonnie looked at Yanis and asked.

Yanis nodded. "Originally, he wanted to give it to her, but she insisted on repaying it. Now that she's

doing well working with Stella, she probably wanted to give Zane some money as well. It's not really

breaking a promise."

Bonnie nodded as she listened. "That makes sense, but Mr. Lawrence doesn't lack that amount of

money, does he?"

"If Zane didn't accept it, Aurora would find other ways to give it to him. It's better to be straightforward.

Since she wants to repay it bit by bit, she can do so when she needs the money in the future."

"That's true. After all, they are siblings in some way. There's a bit of a blood connection," Bonnie said.

Yanis nodded. "So Zane didn't refuse when Aurora gave him the money."

The two of them were in the middle of a conversation when Wendy directly pulled Alfie out of Zane's

car.

Alfie was muttering something to Wendy.

"Mom, I was talking to Uncle Lawrence," Alfie said as he was being held by the collar, turning his head

to look at Wendy.

Wendy raised her hand and gave Alfie a slap on the butt. "You little brat, talking nonsense again?"

"I didn't! Uncle Lawrence said that girl is his sister!"

When Wendy heard this, she glanced back.

Zane had just gotten out of the car. "Alfie was talking to me about something else, not talking

nonsense."

Wendy felt a bit embarrassed and nodded at Zane. "Sorry, Mr. Lawrence, this kid is just spoiled."

Zane said, "He's very cute."

Alfie sighed, "Uncle Lawrence, a man shouldn't be called cute, it should be handsome!"

Zane nodded, "Very handsome!"

Wendy raised her hand and tapped Alfie's head. "Where do you see the handsome in you?"

"I am very handsome!"

Zane watched as Wendy carried Alfie away and then stepped into the store.

Bonnie saw Zane coming in. "Did Mr. Lawrence get caught on a date with a girl by our little Alfie?"

Zane looked at Bonnie. "Next time, bring Miss Cooke along."

"Forget it, I don't want to be a third wheel," Bonnie waved her hand and said.

Yanis finished packing her things and walked over. "Shall we leave?"

Bonnie nodded. "Let's go first, I'll be leaving soon too."

"Drive slowly, or should we meet up there? I can give you a ride," Yanis asked Bonnie.

Bonnie shook her head. "No need, you guys go ahead."

Yanis nodded. "Okay then, we'll go first."

Yanis looked at Zane. "Let's go."

Zane made an agreeing sound and reached out to naturally hold Yanis's hand, heading towards the

exit.

Sitting in the car, Yanis buckled her seatbelt and turned to look at Zane. "What were you talking about

with Alfie just now?"

Zane started the car. "He said to wait for him to grow up, he wants to challenge me."

Yanis chuckled at his words. "What did you say?"

"I told him that even when he grows up, you're still mine and he can't take you away," Zane said with a

serious expression.

The smile on Yanis's lips deepened. "You're mine too."

Zane turned his head to look at Yanis. "When you heard Alfie say that I have another girl outside, were

you angry?"

"Why would I be angry? Is it true that Mr. Lawrence really has..." Yanis's sentence was interrupted by

Zane before she could finish it.
