Chapter 751: Willing to See Your Child Call Someone Else Father?
Yanis approached the reception desk to inquire and learned that there was a group of women from a
company undergoing examinations today, hence the larger crowd.
"Our appointment is around noon, right?" Bonnie glanced at the number on the ticket and asked the
nurse.
"Almost, but since you've already checked in, we'll definitely finish before closing time. No need to
worry," the nurse reassured.
Bonnie nodded, "Okay, thank you."
After the exchange, Bonnie turned to Yanis and whispered, "Yanis, let's go downstairs and wander
around. We can come back later in the evening."
Yanis nodded in agreement, "Alright, let's go."
...
At the black market.
As Myles got out of his car without closing the door, he heard someone whistle.
Frowning slightly, Myles followed the direction of the whistle and saw Anthony sitting on the second-
floor balcony, biting a cigarette. "Well, isn't this Mr. Myles? Didn't you turn over a new leaf and become
a good guy? Why are you still coming to this black market?"
Ignoring Anthony's sarcastic remark, Myles turned around, raised his hand to close the car door, and
prepared to enter the building.
"Myles, I heard you broke up with that Cooke family girl?" Anthony's voice reached Myles, causing him
to pause and turn back to face Anthony, who was sitting on the balcony railing.
"Does it concern you?" Myles looked at Anthony, waiting for him to continue.
Anthony chuckled softly, then jumped down from the second-floor balcony and walked up to Myles.
"Indeed, it has nothing to do with me, but I happened to stumble upon some information."
Myles looked at Anthony, not speaking but waiting for him to reveal what he knew.
Seeming to have grasped Myles' thoughts, Anthony remained silent for a while, as if he could read
Myles' mind. After a moment, he finally spoke up.
"What is it that you want to know so badly?" Anthony met Myles' gaze and said calmly, "But I can tell
you one thing, it's about Bonnie." Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
Upon hearing Anthony's words, Myles' expression instantly changed. He stared at Anthony and asked,
"What did you just say?"
"Oh? So, Bonnie is pregnant with your child, and you don't plan to take responsibility?" Anthony's tone
turned mocking.
"How do you know about her pregnancy?" Myles inquired.
Anthony flicked the cigarette butt to the ground and extinguished it with his foot. "Coincidentally, I
happened to overhear it."
In truth, it was quite a coincidence that he found out about this. Yesterday, he was summoned back
home under the pretense of something important, only to be dragged to a friend's house by a bunch of
people.
The scene inside the house, with all the aunts and uncles, made Anthony feel uneasy, and it was clear
what their intentions were: arranging a blind date for him.
But encountering someone from the Austi family as a potential blind date was quite rare for Anthony.
Taking advantage of having an excuse to make a phone call, he managed to escape.
Coincidentally, as he was passing by a wall, he saw Bonnie talking to a middle-aged man in the park.
Initially, he had no intention of eavesdropping, but he coincidentally heard a sentence, "The child is
Myles', right?"
Followed by another sentence, "I discussed this with your grandfather, and we have no obligations
towards the child."
Anthony was stunned for a moment, even though he had speculated about Myles and Bonnie's
breakup due to Myles frequently appearing at the black market.
But hearing this news was truly unexpected.
Myles didn't say anything further. He turned around, opened the car door, and intended to get in.
"I don't think you can come even if you fly over now because Bonnie seems to love you and doesn't
want your son to call someone else 'dad,'" Yanis said.
As Myles sat in the car and was about to close the door, his movement paused upon hearing Anthony's
words. "Anthony, can't you just say everything in one go? Is it necessary to be so long-winded?"
Anthony chuckled, "I kindly inform you of this matter, and you have no appreciation for it?"
"Well, screw you then!" Myles cursed, slammed the car door shut, started the engine, and stepped on
the gas pedal. The car swiftly zoomed away.
Anthony stood in place, watching the car speed away almost as if it were about to take off, and couldn't
help but let out a low laugh.
People who were caught in the quagmire of emotions always lost their sense of direction and made
everything more complicated.
The simpler and easier to understand something was, the harder it became to see through and
comprehend.
"Mr. Anthony, why did you tell him about this?" Hiruma Ninsei, who had been standing nearby for a
while, approached Anthony with a puzzled look.
After hearing Hiruma's words, Anthony withdrew his gaze and replied, "I just wanted to stir up some
excitement out of the blue."
After speaking, Anthony looked at Hiruma and asked, "Didn't you go back already? Why are you still
here?"
"Suddenly I remembered that my parents went to my grandmother's tonight, and there's no one at
home. If I go back, I'll be alone," Hiruma explained.
Anthony nodded and said, "Then let's have dinner together tonight..."
Before Anthony could finish his sentence, his phone in his pocket started ringing.
Looking at the caller ID, Anthony furrowed his brow slightly and answered the call just before it would
have ended automatically. "What's the matter?"
"You little brat, I'm giving you half an hour. Get your ass back here immediately!"
A powerful and angry voice came through the phone.
"Grandfather, I have something to take care of here. Why don't you find someone else to play with? I'll
come see you in a few days," Anthony replied.
"I sent Fang Ting to find you. If you don't come back tonight, you'll never set foot in the Austi family's
mansion again!"
Before Anthony could respond, the call was already disconnected.
Anthony maintained the posture of answering the phone for a while before he let out a deep sigh,
pocketed his phone, and then looked at Hiruma. "Let's have dinner together tonight."
"That was the Old Mr. Austi's call, right?" Hiruma looked at Anthony. "He wants you to go back?"
Anthony nodded. "He set up a blind date for me yesterday, but I ran off without saying a word."
Hiruma looked shocked at Anthony's words and said, "Mr. Anthony, you've reached the point of being
forced into blind dates?"
Anthony put his arm around Hiruma's shoulder and said, "With so many younger generations in the
Austi family, why should I be in a hurry? Besides, all the women in Manches City look the same.
There's not a single one that catches my eye."
Hiruma had been hanging out with Anthony since they were young, so he understood Anthony's
thoughts. Therefore, after hearing Anthony's words, Hiruma chuckled lightly. "There's always one
person who is different. But, Mr. Anthony, you're so low-key that people don't even know who you are.
Don't you plan on taking some action?"
