The woman looked at him and thought that he was genuine, she weighed the consequences in her mind and then finalized, ” Okay, enter let’s go”

Marco jumped into the car in his wet clothes, which made him feel uneasy, thinking that the woman might get upset, he thought the woman was going to complain, but she never did, rather she concentrated on the wheel, Marco was surprised at her driving proficiency.

Apart from the fact that it was his first time of entering a car being driven by a woman, it was basically the first time he was entering a private car, in the real sense of it, being driven in a private car was something of novelty to him and that was the reason why he sat as if the owner was going to rebuke him.

As the woman accelerated the car, Marco heart and thoughts began to buzz, flashing back to him images of his prison experience, some hours back it was as if he was going to wither away in jail, he had almost lost hope since he neither had not knew anybody who could volunteer to bail him.

He continued to be thankful to that almighty for coming to his rescue when all hope was lost, in a way, he bagn to see his travails in prison as an experience that had come and gone

He had seen and conquered, the feeling that he was once again a free man gave him so much delight and indeed, he really had every cause to, because a new door had been opened for him when others had closed, besides Marco was still optimistic that if everything went on the way he had planned it, in a matter of three months, he would sure to be back with his mother.

He still needed to save some money as to afford his transportation fare, that was why he accepted to serve as a house help.

“What is your name?” The woman asked.

When she did not hear any response from him, she turned and looked at him.

“I said what is your name?” She asked again, having observed that he might not have heard her the first time.

“My name is Marco” he replied.

The woman was about to ask him something else when she realized that she was very close to her house, she therefore concentrated and drove into the compound, she parked the car and they both alighted.

“Mommy! Welcome” the two of the woman daughters greeeted and ran over to them to collect the provision she bought.

“How’re you girls doing?” The woman asked, using her hands to pat their hair-do.

“We are fine mommy” the two girls replied simultaneously with radiant smiles on their faces.

“You can take the provision inside I will be with you in a moment”

“Alright mummy” both girls responded, took a glance at Marco whose mission they could not possibly guess right, they knew there would be enough time to ask their mother about him as soon as she was inside with them.

“You said your name is Marco”

“Alright, I don’t think there is any point asking you too many questions, the important thing I have to tell you is that you should take your work seriously, make sure that you wake up as early as 5am, clean up the whole house, both in and out, after that you wash my car, before you wash the clothes, are you listening to me?”
