Neil took out his small drawing board and various brushes, indicating for Vera to paint with him.

Vera readily agreed. Drawing was a unique “language” for children. Perhaps through the drawings, she could understand more about Neil’s inner thoughts. 

Hey, you two go ahead and paint. I’ll just enjoy it, Ramon preferred to play games.
