I walk faster to Jace’s office to know why Yara is doing there before she leaves. I find Jace facing the monitor of CCTV to all areas.

“Jace, Yara came here before she left, did she say something to you?”

“K bye.” When Jace left, I grab my phone and call her but she declined it. I sent her a message ‘what’s wrong?’ but she’s not replying. What’s wrong with her?

I’ve been pacing around my office. The bands are long gone and the bar is already closed, but I’m still here, what is her problem and why did she leave? If she fled a while ago and she doesn’t answer my calls, then it means she’s avoiding me? For sure she’s not in her unit because she knows I will come over there, then where should I find her?

I looked up at the employer’s files and took it, I check Yara’s resume and took a picture of her address and I come out in the bar. I put her address on my phone map and I followed the direction. When I pull over to the place, it’s quiet, it’s past 3 am that’s why there’s no one I could see.

I check the area and check the house’s number, when suddenly there’s a group of men pass by, I waited them to pass in front and me, and they’re all the same shirt.

“Good evening sir, are you lost?” one of the men asks me. “We’re barangay officer here, and seem you’re new to our place.” Added the man.

“Oh yes, I’m looking for a woman.” I pick up my phone and I showed them Yara’s face. I have an ID picture of the employee just in case something happens.

“Ah, yes. This is her place, but I didn’t notice she came home, that’s her house” He point to one of the houses when a woman suddenly come out. “That’s her roommate, you should ask her.”

“Thank you,” I said and come to the woman holding a bucket. “Good Evening”

“I just want to ask if this woman came home last night,” I ask. “The barangay officer told me you’re her roommate?”

I don’t know how many minutes I stay here while looking at the places. She lives here? A former queen bee and a brat live in this kind of place? It’s not that I underestimate the squatter area; it’s just that I can’t believe that, Yara will live in this kind of place.

I was going to my car when I see Yara, she was coming out of the taxi. That’s not the taxi she rode a while ago. The color of the taxi she rode is white, while this taxi is black.

“Yara,” I call her. She frowns when she sees me and shook her head.

“What are doing here?”

“I’m looking for you. What’s wrong? Why did you suddenly leave?” She heaved a sigh

“Zeus, do you remember what we talked about when you set the agreement about us?” I feel uncomfortable, her face is serious.

“What talk?”

“The one that you can’t near nor look to the other woman other than me?” Oh fudge, I remember that. Is that the reason why she leaves? Is she jealous?

“Lyka is a friend, she’s married and she’s just having a proposal to the bar.”

“But you fucked her before? And I am sure, not once, not twice but many times, right?”

“I won’t force you all to believe me. Anyway, got to go and I have a meeting. And Oh, Blaze. I want you to have a meeting with Mrs. Sandoval, Jace, you’re with Ms. Salazar, and Phoenix takes Ms. Punzalan.”

“Wait a minute, why do you give them our women clients?”

“I don’t want to talk to any other women, for now, Dane. And Oh I move Sandra in accounting and Wilbert as my secretary. So please inform your secretaries to talk to Wilbert first when they needed something”

“Stop saying nonsense, Phoenix.” I was walking away outside when Jace suddenly talk.

“I guess I know who it is.” I stopped and I look at him.

“We don’t have a relationship, ok!” I cut him off. “Yara and I are friends that’s all. We’re just having fun!” But they all laugh at me.

“Now tell us that, you’re having a chat with a client and you don’t have a woman, Zeus,” Dane said while laughing.

“I’m not the only one who is slow here. We didn’t say a name here and he confessed.” And they all laugh more.

“Tss,” my only answer and leave the place.
