Alpha Connor stared at Daciana. For the second time in his life, guilt washed over him hearing what she is saying to him.

Everything he did to the omegas in the past, he can’t say he doesn’t regret it but he’s changed now. If only he can undo all that he has done to innocent souls because of revenge, he would have done it the moment he realized he was wrong.

Those females that lost their lives because of him did not deserve it but there is nothing he can do to reverse what has already happened.

He watched as her tears pour down on her cheeks and that hurt him even more. Those memories were still fresh in her mind, she hasn’t gotten over it, like it happened yesterday.

Daciana couldn’t get the scene of Alpha Connor stabbing that innocent female to death from her mental vision, she watched the sword go deep into her stomach and came out through her back. That contributed to why she is scared of Alpha Connor.

“I know this can’t be compared to the life that has been lost but can you please at least compensate them and make sure that the little boy never lacks anything in his life, you have the means my king. Please take care of him” Daciana pleaded.

She knows she has no right to say all that to the Alpha king but she couldn’t keep it in anymore. She has lived with the guilt and burden even when she was suffering the same fate as that female or even worse, the only difference was that she died and Daciana lived.

Knowing that her mate kills people like preys burdened her, it doesn’t matter if he accepts her or not. At least, they would still refer to her as the Alpha king’s rejected mate if he hadn’t changed. His name will be attached to hers.

Alpha Connor wiped her tears and hugged her, how can he get mad at her when she only advised him? How can he get mad at her when she said that out of care for him and the truth?

“I promise, I won’t kill for an absurd reason ever again. Once we get back, I will send her family enough money to take care of them, I will make sure the boy lives well too. I will take responsibility for my action, please stop crying” he said to her and she nodded her head.

Giving them money isn’t enough, it can’t bring back the life that has been lost but at least, it changes. It might not be a wise decision but Daciana wants the boy to be okay, so that he won’t miss the absence of his mother from his life that much.

She didn’t know he would actually agree to that, now that he did, if it means begging him to tender an apology to them too, she will do it.

“Thank you my king” she replied and hugged him back, wrapping her hands around him.

“We will take a tour the next time we come back here, how about that?” He asked diverting her mind from their last conversation.

“It’s okay by me” she said excitedly, she doesn’t know when it started but she is beginning to warm up to the Alpha king. Each time she spends with him proved to her that he is actually a better person. Some situations made us act irrational sometimes.

She is glad the Alpha king is listening to her, she is more than glad that he is paying attention to her now.

“Yes my king, thank you for taking me out” she replied timidly.

“Remember, do not stress yourself. I will inform Lynne after now to add fifteen maids to the initial five you were supposed to be given to assist you” he said seriously and Daciana coughed. What is she supposed to do with twenty maids?

“That’s not necessary my king, I will be–”

“I won’t listen to you on this case, I have made up my mind. I can’t risk anything happening to you or our baby”

That sounded good in her ears, just a few words from Alpha Connor and she is already looking flushed. How can she not love him when he makes her feel this way all the time?

“You should go” he said and she nodded her head. Knowing that she is being watched, she walked carefully until she reached her door.

Turning around, she waved at Alpha Connor who passed her a smile in return before she dashed behind the door only to be welcomed by another scene in front of her.

“Ana” she heard the familiar voice the moment she entered into her room. Before she could understand what was happening, two small hands wrapped around her tightly. She gasped on recognizing the voice and seeing the person.

“Oh my goodness, Okie” she screamed and hugged her even more tightly. Daciana was so excited that she started crying.

“I thought I will never see you again Ana” she said slowly.

“Same, you’ve become so thin Okie. Your master has been giving you a hard time right?” Daciana asked as she held her hand to the bed. She smiled gratefully at the fact that the Alpha king kept to his promise. He did surprise her by bringing in Okie.

Daciana didn’t miss the dread that flashed on her face, Okie suddenly held the tip of Daciana’s dress for protection as if someone is going to hurt her. Her pupils keep dilating in fear.

“I am not going back there again right? You are now the Luna, can you please protect me from them?” She asked clutching Daciana’s dress snugly.

Daciana held her hands, she understood clearly well what the little girl must’ve been going through.

“I promise, you are not going back there and no one will ever hurt you again, okay?” She asked and the girl nodded.

“I missed you so much Ana, the young masters, they hurt me so badly and master never for once scolded them, he cheered them on to hurt me even more” Okie cried as Daciana shook her head, trying not to believe that this little girl has been going through the same thing she was unable to bear.

She is too young to go through that. What crime did they commit for being an omega? Are they not all wolves? Why does the rank even matter? Daciana wish she has the power to abolish some stupid rules set to hurt others, what pains her more is the fact that she can’t do anything about it.

“It’s okay, you will be fine. I want you to forget all the bad memories and start afresh here with me” she assured. Okie smiled in excitement.

“That means I will be able to spend enough time with the prince” she said and clapped her hands, then jumped down elatedly while Daciana gave her a confused look.

“Prince? Who is prince?” She asked bemused and Okie’s eyes darted to her stomach, she moved closer to Daciana and placed her hand on her stomach then hummed in exhilaration.

“The prince is here” she said and sat down beside Daciana who folded her hands to her chest.

“You still see and hear things?” Daciana asked the little girl who nodded her head.

“It is called divination Ana, not weird things” Okie corrected playfully.

“What type of wolf has divinated power? Are you sure you are a wolf?” Daciana asked as she placed her hand on her stomach where Okie just removed hers. It took her sometime to know that she is pregnant and Okie knew that immediately she saw her? Okie laughed and nodded her head.

“Have you eaten?” Daciana asked.

“Yes, they served me meals for a feast not long ago, I couldn’t eat to anywhere” she replied and they both laughed. It will really be fun staying together with Okie and having Kaira around.

★★Few days later★★

Okie was getting used to the Alpha king’s tower with the help of Kaira, the three has become close over the past few days as they treat Okie like their younger sister. Alpha Connor wouldn’t allow Daciana move around or do things because he thinks she will get hurt.

He has been so protective of her, he changed so much, to Daciana’s liking. Daciana is being treated like the Luna she is and everyone respects her just the way they do to the Alpha king and Dolphus.

“Did you get it for me?” Daciana asked Kaira as the three sat on her bed.

“I didn’t, Lynne said you can’t take the meal until you reach your second trimester” Kaira informed and Daciana pouted her lips.

“That’s not fair” she protested.

“It’s for the best Ana, I don’t want my prince to get hurt” Okie shipped in, sometimes she speaks as if she is already an adult.

She should have gone through Alpha Connor, it will be better that way. Daciana sighed with her hands akimbo.

“The weather is nice Ana, I am going to sit under the tree” Okie stood up and ran outside leaving the two of them behind.

“So how are you feeling my Queen?” Kaira asked. Daciana told her about her pregnancy before the words got out. It is surprising how people gets to know about things no one told them, just like her pregnancy that has already circulated around both district A and B.

“Aside becoming way too lazy, I am fine” she replied which made Kaira laugh.

“I am becoming an aunt, that’s a good news for me. I am so happy that you are pregnant” Kaira said, the happiness in her voice was noticeable. It looks like she is happier than Daciana who is the one carrying the pregnancy. Daciana rolled her eyes friskly.

“You are not serious are you?” She said smiling at Kaira who huffed in return.

“I am glad that the Alpha king is treating you well now, you are a good person my Queen and you deserve all the happiness in this world” Kaira commented cordially.

Daciana stared at the floor, she doesn’t know why Kaira thinks that she is a good person but she is really glad that the Alpha king changed towards her. It could have been worse if he still hated her like he used to and finds out that she is pregnant, he wouldn’t have wanted anything to do with her or the baby.

Whatever made Alpha Connor developed interest in her, she is grateful. Alpha Connor might look cold, fierce and intimidating but he is a nice person. She can testify to that now.

Just as she was about saying something, her door opened and Okie stepped in with a frown on her face which made the two girls give her their attention.

“What’s wrong? Did anyone bully you?” Daciana asked but instead of replying, Okie walked up to her.

“I have been closing my ears to stop myself from hearing that voice but I can’t, someone won’t stop calling out to you. Who is he Ana? Why am I hearing him?”
