Kaira pulled Daciana into a comforting embrace allowing her to cry on her shoulder before pulling out from the hug.

She gently wiped Daciana’s tears with her thumb, shaking her head in disapproval to her shedding tears.

“I wasn’t going to judge you my Queen, I understand perfectly well how you feel even if I am not in your shoe. It is also understandable that you feel the way you do towards the Alpha king,

I wasn’t expecting you to hate him from the start because no matter what, the mate bonding will be stronger than whatever grudge you hold against him. Even if he doesn’t show it, same goes to him my Queen” Kaira lectured, rubbing Daciana’s arm comfortingly.

Seeing that she wouldn’t stop crying, Kaira sighed. There is no one that won’t understand this, as long as they are mates, the bond in which they share won’t let them stay away from each other or hate themselves for too long.

No matter how badly Alpha Connor has been treating her Queen, Kaira knows that within him, there is a soft spot for her in his heart. He doesn’t completely hate her.

“I assure you my Queen, the Alpha king is not as bad as you see him as. He is really a nice person and look, he is also changing towards you. I do not see anything wrong with you falling in love with your mate. It is something that is meant to happen” she added

Daciana sniffed, trying to stop the sobs. She could have laughed at Kaira’s statement about the Alpha king if she isn’t in misery right now.

Alpha Connor might no doubt be nice but not always to her until recently. It is true that he loves and protects his subjects except the omegas.

Every other kind of wolves think of him as a good leader, a good king. Maybe he is but how can she believe that when she is so used to another side of him?

Wouldn’t it be ridiculous if he finds out that she is in love with him? Will he not hate her even more because of that?

“Cheer up my Queen, that isn’t something to be bothered about. Give the Alpha king sometime, I am sure he will come around. Remember, nothing is your fault, loving him is not your fault so do not blame yourself for anything” Kaira said again, bringing Daciana out of her thoughts.

Daciana smiled at her, grateful that she met someone like Kaira. She is such a good friend, a friend that has her best interest at heart. She feel at least relieved after talking about it with someone without being judged.

“Thank you Kaira, I feel like a burden has been lifted off my shoulders” she said sincerely.

Having met Kaira is something that she will be thankful for. The words that comes out of her mouth are strangely soothing. Daciana wish that the Alpha king will be all she mentioned. She wish he will come around for real, she wish she can be accepted by him too.

“It’s nothing my Queen, I just want you to always be happy” Kaira replied with a bright smile, that made Daciana smile too.

Just in time, the door opened and Lynne walked in with a tray of food in her hands. She placed it on the table beside Daciana’s bed.

“Here is your dinner Luna” she informed while Daciana nodded her head. She is in no mood to eat, she doesn’t feel a bit hungry probably because she was choked up with tears earlier.

Lynne stepped out without wasting much time to give the two friends their privacies.

“You should eat up my Queen, I will be here until you are done” Kaira said, drawing the table to her front and Daciana shook her head.

“I really do not feel hungry, maybe I will–”

“Nothing like that my Queen, you have to eat now before it gets cold. I will stay right here and watch you eat, that’s supervision” Kaira interrupted.

Daciana couldn’t help the smile that formed on her face, Kaira has a way of making her smile and forget her worries. As much as she wants to see the Alpha king, Kaira is doing a great job of not making her to think about him very much.

Sighing, she started eating the meal in defeat as she occasionally raised her head to check the door hoping that Dolphus will walk in with the king’s order to summon her.

Alpha Connor was seated under the giant tree at the back of his quarters, lost in deep thought and Dolphus, standing right beside him.

“It is getting late Alpha king, you should head inside” Dolphus suggested. They’ve been here for what seems like forever to him.

Alpha Connor just sat there without uttering a word nor make a single movement since he came out of his room where Daciana was earlier.

He knew that she has been escorted to her new room yet, he still chose to stay outside. His mind was battling with the thoughts in his head, he feared he might go crazy if care isn’t taken.

He wanted her to wake up to him but after thinking about it, it is best he give her some space even if it is going to be hard for him. He thought about allowing her to have a restful night today so that she can recover fast. But now, he is not sure if he really wants to be away from her.

The more his eyes keep darting towards her new room, the more he wants her close to him.

His desires wasn’t to hurt her anymore, he just wants her close to him, to have her wrapped in his warmth and with both their breathes mixed or going up rhythmically because of their proximity.

Alpha Connor suddenly felt the urge to have her by his side all the time, he might not be able to just watch her every time without him being hungry for her or her body.

Now that he really wants to mark her and claim her his officially, he just can’t stop getting rid of that thought because he doesn’t want to make her uncomfortable or make her feel pressured.

He has hurt her a lot, the kind of hurt that might cause great damage to her. He is trying to amend, to correct everything he has done so adding to it is the last thing he will want.

Dolphus didn’t get a reply from the Alpha king, his eyes followed his gaze and they stopped close to the Luna’s new room just like he has been doing since they got here.

If the Alpha king badly want to see his Luna, why not go see her or request for her instead of longingly staring at her door when she isn’t aware of that.

“Do you wish to see the Luna, Alpha king?” He asked.

Alpha Connor stood up abruptly, instead of walking to his room. He decided to walk around even if it’s dark, thinking that it will help him clear his head but knowing that Daciana is just a few walks away from him wouldn’t let him think straight as his mind keep on diverting to her.

He wanted to see how she is doing, to touch her and ask for her forgiveness until she forgives him. He doesn’t mind doing whatever he can to earn her forgiveness.

If Daciana choose to hate him, Alpha Connor is not sure if he will survive it like she did. The thought of that became a mental torture for him.

He stopped walking and began pacing about in the middle of the tower. All this time, Dolphus kept following behind him. He decided to just watch the Alpha king instead of talking or asking him questions.

Maybe he is deciding or contemplating about something although, he have never seen him thinking this hard.

After pacing about for a while, Alpha Connor left to his chambers. He removed his shirt when he got to his room and glanced at Dolphus.

As much as he tried to let her be for the night, his heart and mind wasn’t agreeing with him. Even his wolf couldn’t stop talking in his head.

It’s odd but it seems he is getting addicted to his mate. It is okay to have her sleep in his room, on his bed and close to him.

“Dolphus” he called, tapping his legs on the floor while Dolphus sighed at the fact that the Alpha king finally acknowledged him.

“Yes Alpha king”

“Daciana, bring her in” he ordered impatiently.
