Hendrick eyes stayed on Daciana for a long time, he has seen a lot of pretty ladies but none of them is as pretty as the one before him.

Hendrick cleared his throat for the umpteenth time. For the first time since he entered into the room, he moved his eyes away from Daciana to the security men with a glare on his face.

They quickly composed themselves and stood straight as Hendrick walk towards them.

“Keep an eye on her, I need to put a call across the the boss immediately” he instructed. They all nodded, Hendrick stepped out afterwards, not before throwing a last glance at the beauty.

He brought out his phone the moment he left the room and dialed Carlos number.

If he had seen from his own perspective, they could have injected her with more of those poisons.

But then, seeing her looking all like a human wasn’t bad after all. His little demon woke up just by him staring at her.

All his life, no lady has ever had this kind of huge effect on him before. This is a first and he enjoyed it. He wish he can have her slammed on his bed with him hovering over her and his manhood buried deep into her.

Carlos picked up after a few rings.

“Boss” he called.

“Why are you calling Hendrick? I thought we agreed to start the first experiment tomorrow?” Carlos asked with a faint growl while Hendrick breathed out.

Alpha Connor looked around to find out that he is in his chambers. There on his left stood Dolphus who haven’t stepped an inch away from him all this while.

Seeing that the Alpha king is awake, Dolphus’ eyes scintillated.

“I am glad you are awake Alpha king, thank you for waking up” he said and absentmindedly pulled Alpha Connor into a hug but he regretted it the moment he heard him wince from pain.

“I am sorry, I am just so excited” he apologized standing up. He helped the Alpha king sit up on the bed.

Alpha Connor felt flimsy and spineless. The event of what happened earlier replayed in his head.

His heart almost stopped remembering that his Luna was captured. Alpha Connor’s eyes snapped up to Dolphus’.

“Daciana” he called raspesly which took Dolphus by surprise.

This is the first time the Alpha king is mentioning her name. The very first time he is calling her by her name and not female or that female.

Dolphus never thought that Alpha Connor really knows the name of his mate, the future Luna of this pack.

Maybe deep down in him, Alpha Connor really cares about her. Dolphus bowed his head in guilt, he feels more guilty now that Alpha Connor mentioned her name.

He wasn’t able to bring her, he wasn’t able to get her out of the humans hands when the Alpha king couldn’t.

Dolphus feel useless for not being able to protect someone that means a lot to his Alpha king.

“I am sorry Alpha king, we checked the woods and traced them to no avail. It was my fault they made away with the Luna, I will gladly accept any punishment Alpha king” Dolphus said and knelt down, not daring to look at Alpha Connor.

Alpha Connor balled his hand in a fist, his jaw tightened as he blare his teeth together.

The is the second time he has gotten this angry because of the one he claims to hate.

The first time was with Carey and now this. He is maddened by the fact that he watched them took her away without trying any effort.

He grabbed the cup beside him throwing it on the wall. It broke into pieces from the impact.

If he gets hold of those humans, he wouldn’t spare even their generations for hurting his female.

The image of the deep wound on her neck stayed glued in his vision. As the seconds pass by, Alpha Connor was getting more angry.
