Chapter 14
Chapter 14
Amelia's POV
*2 months later*
"Ow" I groaned as I was laying in my back. Noah has me pinned down. I quickly kicked his leg making
him fall to my side and pinned him.
"Lost." I said grinning and stood up up. I gave him my hand and helped me up. He grinned as he stood
up. We both were grinning like maniacs.
Its been almost 2 months since the war with the witches and I started training. There have not been
much troubles in the pack.
Only few random rogues crossing the borders. But that's all it is. Training with Noah has been great. At
first he was holding back.
But once seeing how good I was, we were both getting on it. I have defeated him quite a lot of time,
even after him using wolf strength.
We have even used daggers and weapons to trains. At first Noah hesitated but then agreed. I have
even fought him off in his wolf form. His wolf was ashy brown. It was so nice.
Xavier and me, well what can I say. He has not yelled at me or anything. But he continues avoid my
existence. Only casual nods in front of the pack members.
Everyday, I go to the library, just to listen to him playing the piano. At times he wouldn't. But I still go
there hoping I could listen, and mostly sleeping in the library listening to his music.
Xavier, Nathan and some of the warriors has gone to Xavier's cousin pack. He was the only family
member left from Xavier's family.
Except for his mum. His mum. I really wanted to go and visit her. But no one has ever been to the east
wing, except for a maid. She doesn't like visitors.
But I decided that after Xavier and the rest left, I will be going to see her and no one is going to stop
me. Once my training with Noah, I am going to get ready.
Wrapping up our training, I went back to my room to shower. Not before playing with the children. Every
weekends, I spent time with the kids playing hide and seek or doing some kind of activity.
I dressed up in a turquoise dress that went mid thigh. I went to the garden and picked a pot. I filled it up
with sands. Then grabbing some of the flowers, I planted it in the pot.
I remembered Nathan saying Xavier's mum was the one who planted the garden. Once I was satisfied
with the flowers, I walked towards the East Wing.
There were some guards there, but I managed to sneak pass them. Thanks to the flowers, they
covered my scent. As I entered, I started to search for her.
I tried to listen to her heartbeat. After walking a flight of stairs, I managed to hear a faint sound. I went
towards that sound, and it lead to a room.
I entered the room, slowly. It wasn't just a room. It was a chamber. It was all white. I was looking around
the room, that I didn't realise the person lying in the bed.
I gasped at the sight. She looked weak, yet she is the most prettiest woman I have ever seen. She was
simply beautiful.
Coming out of my daze, I walked towards her. I cleared my throat. "Luna Queen?" I called. I don't think
she heard me so I called again.
"Luna Queen?" she managed to hear me as she scrunched her eyebrows. She slowly woke up. Upon
seeing me, she tried to sit.
I helped her sit up properly. She was about to talk when her voice came out rough. I poured her some
water that was there and gave it to her.
She drank and gave me the glass and I it back. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" she
asked me with confusion. I passed her the flower pot. She took it and gave me a questioning look.
"Its from your garden." the moment I said this, a small smile was in her lips as she examined it. "They
smell the same way that I remember." she smiled sadly.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" she asked me again. I sighed and slowly took a seat
beside her.
"My name is Amelia," I paused. "Xavier's mate." I said to her softly. She gasped. "My son found his
mate?" she asked quizzically. I nodded my head.
"You are so beautiful." she said caressing my cheeks. "What are you doing here child?" she asked me
sadly.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her back. She gave me a confused look. "I live here." she said to
me back.
"Why?" I asked her knowing the answer. She took in a deep breathe. "I couldn't-" she paused. I gave
her hand light squeeze.
"I couldn't be there, once he was gone." she said tearing up. I sighed and took her hand in mine. "But
you survived. You lived." I said making her understand.
"For Xavier. I couldn't leave him all alone." "But that's what you are doing now. He was alone. He is
alone. Both of you should have been there for each other." I explained.
She looked at me bewildered. I sighed. "We need you. The pack needs you. The kingdom needs you.
Your son needs you. I need you."
"I don't know what is it to be a Luna. And no one can teach me more than you." I said to her softly. I
stood up to leave. She was staring at me all the while. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
"Its never too late for anything." I said and was about to leave. "You are already a good Luna." she said
out of nowhere. "Never as good as you."
I said and left. I sneak past the guards and went back to the palace. The children insisted that I played
with them. So I spent the evening playing with them till their parents fetched them back.
That night I went to bed, hoping she would do the right thing. Because every word I told her was true.
We all need her. Because I can never be a good Luna or mate.
The next morning I woke up and went for a run. It was summer holidays, so there was no college. I was
missing going college. I also missed Avery and Jason.
We still hangout and have sleepover, which Noah joined at times. After having my run, I went to shower
and came down for breakfast.
Angela was already there. "Hey Angela." I greeted her as I take a seat in the stool opposite her. "Hey
Amelia." she smiled greeting me back.
I grabbed cereals and milk and made my breakfast. I started eating my breakfast as I was very hungry.
"Hey, do you know when everyone is coming back?"
"They should be here anytime now actually." she said looking at her watch. I nodded my head and went
back to eating.
Suddenly I heard the cluttering of dishes as everyone was frozen in one spot looking past me. Even
Angela was looking past me as if she was seeing a ghost.
"Hello everyone." I heard an elegant voice. I froze on my spot. I knew that voice. I was scared to turn
and look. What if this was just a dream?
Gathering up my courage I turn around and gasped. It was her. Xavier's Mum. Everyone around me
was frozen in their spot.
Some from the elder females were tearing up even. Everyone kneeled in front of her. With pride so did
I. She did the right thing.
"Rise everyone." she said smiling. It was so nice to see her smile. Everyone did as she told. Before
anyone can speak, the room, suddenly became tense.
Xavier was here.
